Friendly server took our orders and the drinks and food came out timely. Our loaded nachos were good, though the nacho cheese was a bit runny and pooled in the bottom. My grandsons loved their pepperoni calzone and Mac and cheese. My personal pan Meathead pizza was very good; tasty with a nice crisp crust. My wife enjoyed her chicken Tuscany pizza. When I moved out here with my boyfriend, we knew we needed to find a pizza place with, at the very least, a competitive pizza. Brickhouse is that place (btw, ask for the pizza well done). We were a party of eight out for a Mother's Day lunch. Our meal was done, bill paid (with a substantial tip), and we were enjoying everyone's company when we were asked to leave. We were told that a reservation was coming in and they needed the tables. That may have been true, however there were three tables behind us that could have been pushed together. I'm a pizza lover, so anytime I have a chance to try a pizza spot, I make it happen. I was visiting family members recently and we all decided to come here on a Saturday night to have dinner together. We arrived around 7pm and the restaurant was almost empty. We figured we'd get good service since there wasn't many people inside, but unfortunately, we ended up getting a waitress that rushed us out of there. She was very pushy with wanting to get our orders and we were all halfway through with our meals when she came over twice asking us if we were finished so that she could clean our table off. My guess is that she expected she would get let go for the night once our table was gone. Well, for the fast meal that we had, we started off with Cheese Curds, which were unlike any other cheese curds I've had. The Cheese Curds were about 3 times the size of normal cheese curds and they were a lot crispier. They seemed to be deep fried, which weren't what I was expecting. I prefer cheese curds that are smaller where I can pop them in my mouth instead of having to use a fork and knife. My mother-in-law and I shared the party size pizza, where we got half cheese and half pepperoni. Our waitress was really shocked that we ordered a party size, but why not? It's pizza and no one can call themselves on a diet when eating pizza. The pizza came out hot and fresh. I loved the cheese pizza and liked the pepperoni. The bread was thin, and the cheese and sauce were also good. It's not the best pizza I've had, but for a small town, I thought it was delicious. I also had a bite of the Gyro Pizza and I didn't prefer it at all. I think that the personal pan pizzas have a different bread than the party size pizza, as the personal pizza was not crispy at all. Have ordered in the past and always got what I ordered, however, for the last 3 weeks they have gotten the order wrong. I ordered a party sized, thin crust pizza, and 12 wings with no sauce. I live a quarter mile away. It took almost an hour to get my food, which was cold, the wings had no breading and looked half done. When my wife called, she was told I asked for no breading, and there was nothing they could do to make it right. They were all out of wings! No apology. No nothing. Horrible customer service. Edited below to address owners comments. The kids meals - chicken tenders should NOT have been the highlight of our meal. The pizza was so so - sauce was tough to find, average at best. The fish fry is awful. The baked fish - inedible. The fried was ok, nothing at all to write home about. It looks like the Gorton's fisherman fish filets. Tastes a little better. You get about a teaspoon of tarter sauce, the potato pancakes have zero seasoning. Disappointing. We'd heard good things. Supposedly kids eat free - except they don't. There are all sorts of stipulations. Apparently fish fry is a promotion so no kids meal. I'm pretty sure anything that costs $12 and is subpar shouldn't be seen as a promotion. Now, pizza should include a kids meal, but seeing I ordered fish, still no supposed free kids meal. Which our server did not properly explain. She did explain the fish fry part, so we were all - fine, at least one kids meal included. So we paid over $40 for a really frustrating and crappy meal. We don't go out nearly as often as we'd like now that we have two kids - so it's doubly frustrating to be so disappointed. ----------- Editing to address owners comments - We did clarify - the gentleman, my husband - said, oh, so if we get something other than fish fry then a kid will eat free. She said yes. She did NOT specify that if ANYONE at the table ordered fish at least one wouldn't get it. She said one kids meal per adult. And it doesn't matter even if for some reason we were misunderstood. Regardless of all it's a ridiculous rule - either kids eat free or they don't. It's right up there with their bizarre half price pizza rule and you can take your leftovers home. What the heck is that? Now, back to our issue we didn't even set out to get free kids meals, we saw the sign when we arrived. It's the principle of it all. Either kids eat free all month or they don't. It's that simple. Do NOT Bait & Switch people. Do not lure people in, fill your seats and give them a list of rules on how to get your kids a free meal. It's poor business practice. And the dig about getting more cod? Well um, seeing my other two baked pieces were inedible, I most certainly did order twice more. The filets are tiny. I won't be contacting the owner privately. Tasty crust - not too thick or thin, bit of a yeast flavor which I like, good sized mushrooms and green peppers - not thin sliced or diced fine (hate that). Lots of cheese. Came back home for a visit, had never been to this place before and was pleasantly surprised. Very nice, warm, cozy interior. Friendly service and our Friday fish fry was delicious. FYI they also brought us bread and a delicious garlic/pepper dipping oil (didn't have to ask as previous reviews commented). Pretty good place for Fort - coming back and trying to eat out has always been an issue especially since old mainstays in town seem to go downhill - hope this place stays around. As a long haul truck driver, I get to visit a lot of places, and use the local places. I must say that the delivery driver was about 10 minutes early (told 45 minutes) showed up in 35 mins.
