I avoided Brick's for years because I'd heart how nasty they were. When I finally stopped in a couple of years ago, I was delighted by the selection and prices, so I returned this year. Currently, although they still have a great selection, their prices are on par with (and even higher than) the others in the area, including the big box stores. And they are indeed rude, impatient people who honestly think they're better than the people paying their salaries. They have no signage informing you of hours or policies, but will get in your face, scream at you, insult your intelligence, and generally make you feel miserable if you violate any of those mysterious rules. As multiple new options have opened up in the area recently, Brick's no longer offers anything unique that makes it worth putting up with them. read more

I have lived in the area for 35 years and haven't been to Bricks for a very long time and had forgotten why. within just 15 minutes it came back to me the staff is less than attentive more to the point of down right rude. First no one offered assistance. Then we had to find someone to speak with so we went to the register and the with the first question came a response of I don't know anything get someone else. Another person passed by and she asked her to help us surprisingly. The lady came back and was not friendly. We asked a question about a perennial and she said she didn't know and said she did not have her phone with her to look it up so I did and showed her the results and thats when she snapped and quipped back angrily I told you I dont have my glasses I can't read it. She never mentioned anything about glasses period. I turned to my wife and said if you want to deal with this you can I'll be in the car and off I went. My wife soon came to the car and advised me things didn't get better from there. I won't go into what my wife said as its hearsay as I wasn't there myself to witness it but if you like no service with a hard trimming of rude and low to no knowledge of their products this is your place. read more

I would give u a 0! Family owned and help, all r real BITCHY , every time we've gone! Today was it, I bought 2 cactus and she put in a cut off flimsy brown bag. I asked if I could have a cheap white plastic bag like in the grocery stores! she said absolutely not! I said that's ridiculous and she tells me to never come back! I said ur an asshole! she chase me outside screaming not to come back then her brother chased us down while trying to pull out. He was no help, just looking for a fight I guess! I am currently sitting in their parking lot shaking. I asked for help twice and was ignored by an older cashier. Before cashing out I specifically asked if the flowers I had were the small size she said yes. After she rang me up my bill was higher than I expected and I asked about it. She was snippy and annoyed when I asked about the billing. I walked out after paying to look at the prices and I was correct and the cashier was walking by me, so I said "excuse me the prices are lower". She became to get loud and was aggressive with me. Another woman walked by and said "I'm so sorry she is yelling at you they must not like business." The cashier turned around and yelled would you like me to give you your money back and you can go to Lowe's. I said "I guess so." She grab my flowers from my hands and I started to follow her back I was completely confused why this was escalating, I then asked why she was so upset and explained I was just looking for help this was my first time at your location. She threw my flowers down and said NO RETURN I don't like your tone. I repeatedly asked Ma'am why are you so angry at me and why are you starting a conflict. Mind you I did not once raise my voice. She brought another older man into the conversation and began to tell me to leave and take my shit with me. I was embarrassed and humiliated. This place is run by a very rude, condescending, and unhappy lady who has no business working with the public. She talked to her helpers and everyone around her, including us like they were trash. When asked a simple care and maintenance question about a plant we purchased, she treated us like we were idiots and told us she didn't have time for our questions.She said if we didn't like it we didn't have to shop there. There are too many other places to shop that treat people with basic decency. We most certainly won't be back. read more

Not family friendly at all. First, it's on a very busy road. The fence is not adequate to keep a child from running in the road. Second, if your kids are playing in the isle, the owner will come out and yell and you and your children. Don't waste your money or time. read more

This is a super busy place but they have a lot of variety for your gardening needs. Although navigating in and out of the parking lot CN be nail-biting the family atmosphere and helpfulness of the staff is pretty good. If you are like me and don't have a green thumb you can get some assistance and the staff will try to help you out. Remember when you check out with your goods that you enter and exit through the correct doorways. read more

First, I am amazed that there are no reviews for this place. I guess it's one of those places that you pass by and wonder who stops there but I stop there and I think it's great. All my peonies came up beautifully since planting last year. And their selection of flowers is probably equal to that at the big place outside of Delaware. Here for the second year in a row, where you can get perennials, annuals, vegetables and everything else your heart desires. A nice feature is that all the flowers in the flats and many of the vegetables are in a shaded area for selection. And, the quality of the materials and product sold are in my belief The best quality. read more

Not happy about this place at all! Spent over one hundred dollars in merchandise and asked for two plastic bags from the cashier and was told by her and some poorly "acting manager" we can't give out bags! They gave me one bag initially because I purchased a few things inside the store. But when I went back to ask for two 1 cent bags so the flowers I purchased wouldn't get the inside of my car wet , I was told "no"and then ignored! I will never do business there again! read more

Their plants, especially perennials, are really cheap. I've been going here for years and read all the reviews about the owners being mean, but never experienced any issues. I was there last weekend and had picked out a bunch of plants. When I went in to pay for them, there was an older woman at the counter trying to check out. The girl at the register was giving her a hard time because she had loaded her plants into a tray before bringing them into the store instead of using a cart. The woman said the girl didn't need to yell at her for it and the girl insisted the woman was yelling at her. From my perspective, the girl overreacted and kept repeating herself and taking to the older woman like a child. Suddenly the girl said, I'm not waiting on you, I'll call the owner to deal with you. She turned to me and said, you're the next customer, I'll wait on you. She started checking me out and the owner came in and asked what happened. The counter girl said the older woman was yelling at her and the woman said it was the other way around. The owner said she believed the counter girl as she knew she would never treat someone that way. The older woman said, I know I talk loud, but I wasn't yelling. I didn't know not to put my plants in the tray. It's my first time here and I won't do it again. I was just excited to pay for my plants and go. The owner said, I saw you picking through things and putting plants in a tray out there. Do you know how many people we have come through here every day? I'm not waiting on you either. You can leave. The older woman apologized and insisted she just wanted to pay for her plants but the owner refused and made her leave. It was incredibly rude and inappropriate how the owner talked to her and I wish I had spoken up and defended the older woman. I won't be going back here again. read more

Over the past few years we have spent hundreds of dollars at the Bricks Garden Center in Quakertown and have generally been pleased with the help and prices we've received. However, today we were in and looking at some decorative yard art and a piece in the display fell and broke. We did not touch the piece that broke but it fell when the display shifted and then caused it to fall. The service rep immediately stated we would have to pay half the purchase price of the broken piece (27.00). I tried to explain the circumstance but there was no use. They did not care that they were losing a loyal customer they just wanted the 27 damn dollars and that is all. So, I implore people to stay away from this place read more

Excellent selection of flowers and plants. Poor customer service. Most interested in what works for them than the needs of the customer. Was scolded twice for using flower trays to load my selections despite the fact that I was buying 6 full trays. Scolded wanted me to load each plant individually on my cart and she would put them in my tray. Ok yet gave the tray back to me as I had loaded it. Made no sense and she was less than appreciative that I had spent more than $350 on my order. read more

Would have given a zero. Shopping for veggies and a male employee brought out a special order for a woman for veggie plants. I asked if he had a certain variety of tomato as it wasnt on the shelf and he told me "in the warehouse" and abruptly walked away! Female employee yelled at me for not taking a cart: I used a black plastic tray...she wasn't having any of it! "Lady! Where did u get that tray from???" And proceeded to take the tray out of my hands! Left and went to Stauffers on 663 and never looked back!!!! Obviously these people don't like their jobs or like dealing with the public! read more

I recently visited Brick's Garden Center and purchased an array of merchandise. Flowers, potting soil, several lawn ornaments and wind chimes. I purchased them on my credit card. One of the solar lawn ornaments was not working after trying it out for a few days. I went back to hopefully exchange it and because I misplaced the itemized receipt, the owner told me he could not let me exchange it. He said that i could have bought it a year ago when, clearly, you could tell it was brand new. I left Brick's with my broken solar lawn ornament very dissatisfied. Today I decided to stop at Bricks garden center. I wasn't looking for anything in particular but just to look around at what they have for sale. I ended up spending $49.00 for some tomato plants, a peony plant and a dog and cat garden statue. My girlfriend and I were leaving when we decided to take a quick look at the other colors of peony plants. I pulled out of the parking spot I was in and drove to the other side of the building. When we got out of the car a women who worked there yelled at us that we couldn't park there. So we heard her and quickly ran over to look at the colors of the 5 peony plants, this took all of 10 seconds, we were ready to leave, but I was thinking of buying one of the plants. The woman kept yelling at us as if we didn't hear her. My girlfriend took the keys to move the car and the "rude and miserable" women ran to the checkout to tell the cashier to not allow me to make a purchase. This is what you get from businesses anymore. It's an utter shame and is disgusting that businesses today don't care how they treat potential and valuable customers. The woman, who refused to give me her name, was nasty, rude, and down right miserable. I don't know who she is, I'm sure the owners wouldn't be happy with her disrespectful behavior. I am old school, I believe the customer is always right. They wonder why their businesses fail. God help us! read more
