We bought 5 medium sized skip laurels at 159.99 a piece...a competitor with a fantastic selection as well, selling the same size same variety was $79.99 a piece. I called and inquired and was told sorry we don't price match. No offer to discount, no money back, no nothing. This equals no more visits from us. What a shame!!! We've worked with BCG on two large landscaping projects at our house. From the design process, to landscaping, to follow up service...everything has been phenomenal. Amy is extremely creative in her designs and takes our ideas and builds them into a beautiful plan. Ben and his team are great doing the work in our yard. Each project has been multiple days and every time they are extremely courteous, easy to work with and open to last minute changes. The plants are nice, the prices are high. It's a beautiful nursery with a boutique home-shoppe inside. My complaint is with the staff. They give-out misinformation (in my case about types of plants), depending-on with whom one speaks. I asked three different staff about one type of plant and all three people gave different answers (two incorrectly)... If I hadn't Googled the correct answer I would have bought inappropriate plants for my garden. I ended-up buying from another nursery who knew the answers to my questions. read more

This is the perfect place to go if you want to overpay for everything. They have a nice assortment, but not at those prices. Now onto the staff, they have the attitude that they are above the customers. We are nothing but a bother to them. Let me provide an example. As my family quietly walks in the front the cranky lady at the desk comes out to tell us to make sure our child does not touch anything. What a way to greet customers. We were looking for a bird bath and were wandering around the fountains outside. I asked the worker who was pricing items where the bird baths are located. Her response was "You are in the wrong section" and just walked away. I will never set foot on this place again. Here are a few words to describe this place: Rude, stuck up, entitled employees. My first visit (I wish I had more time to shop) and love this place! I walked into the gift area and was wow'ed! Top notch items so close to me in Tinicum. I dont have to travel into Doylestown.. The staff I spoke with, 3 of them, were all friendly and helpful. Yes, the plants are a bit more money but the pachysandra I bought had SO many units compared to the ones I bought at KMart for 5 dollars less. It is a huge business. Plan on time to walk around.. I will def. be back for more lavender and window box plants :) read more

I've come here for the past two years in the spring and just this year for fall decorations and have found everything I was looking for. We have been to Bucks Country Gardens many times over the years for shrubs and plants. We even got help with our soil issues by their experts. We have come to know they are on the expensive side but they usually provide good service. Recently, we purchased an outdoor table and 2 chairs from their tent sale. While I do realize purchases from the tent sale are final, we would not have expected to get 2 chairs that are different heights. We did not realize until we got home. After speaking to the manager, we were advised they will not allow us to return anything purchased from the tent sale but they would give us a 25% card off of anything full price. Why would we have to buy something else when we were trying to return the item! Shame on us for not thoroughly inspecting the merchandise, but shame on Bucks Country Gardens for not allowing us to return or give us a credit for the store. I would have expected much better service, especially with their prices. I will have to think twice about making purchases here anymore. Maybe they don't care that they have lost a customer, but customer service is a large part of businesses like this. read more

My wife and I have shopped here for years. Excellent quality products and they do stand behind their plants. We had plantings that did not take and they were quickly replaced free of charge with no problem at all. The staff is very knowledgeable and we have always found them to be very helpful and very nice. There are probably places that are cheaper but sometimes you do get what you pay for. Will be going there soon for our Christmas tree. Great place to do business. read more

I think the staff at Bucks Country is top notch - especially David Jones. I have been buying plants/shrubs/trees/outdoor furniture......for 15 years there and ever since he was an employee there he has been the most helpful, knowledgeable, hard-working employee working at Bucks Country Gardens. David is so kind and conscientious that I missed him when he left BCG for a while. I felt the place was not the same, nor was anyone as helpful as David (Davey) Jones. I hired Bucks Country Gardens to repair some fire damage to the entrance to my house on both sides of the driveway. The work was OK, but there were some issues, such as throwing grass seed on unprepared soil which mostly washed away. The problems started when I got the bill and they charged me for top soil and rototilling those areas. I looked closer and they charged me for 2 days of rental on a "stump grinder" that they had never even used on my job. After further investigation, now that my hackles were up, I found they had put in plants half the size that were specified and billed for. I've heard of this kind of stuff happening with lowballers, which is why I went with what I thought was a company of good reputation. Apparently, they've done the same to others. I still have no resolution after a month of back and forth. In fact, they want to charge me MORE to fix it! read more
