My husband and I love the Bricktown Brewery in downtown OKC but this location might be our new favorite! We didn't have to wait, the food was delivered very quickly and the wait staff was great! I always order the yard bird sandwich because it's amazing and my husband usually orders the meatloaf. We decided to try the apple crisp dessert with vanilla ice cream and caramel... We came in to eat this weekend for the first time and I was totally impressed. Our waitress, Dakota was great, helping us by describing foods etc. She suggested we try the fried curds and we fell in love.. had the catifsh and it was delicious. Well this place is usually pretty decent, tonight my wife got food poisoning following our lunch time visit, only thing we can figure is cross contamination on the guacamole... It's the only thing she ate that I didn't. Check this place off the list as another terrible Shawnee food establishment... I sat in the bar area and the bar tender was fabulous. Service all the way around was great! I had a burger which was yummy and I tried the taste tester of beer which had one of each of their brewed beers. The seasonal beer was my favorite followed by the blues brew....I even liked their wheat beer which I normally hate. I will be back! read more

I was pleasantly surprised by Bricktown Brewery. It was nice to see some different, more interesting options on a menu for once in Shawnee! One word of caution, the portions are *huge*. Two could easily share any meal the 5 of us ordered, including the child's meal. I had the chicken fried chicken, which was great. The mashed potatoes were a little overcheesy, but not bad. I was completely envious though of my companion that ordered the bacon something burger. The one with the bacon actually IN the burger....I really wish I had gotten that! Overall a nice night out. This restaurant is a great place to enjoy a meal. Good vibes. Great foods. Friendly service. I am not a fan of Pepsi products, which I mentioned in passing to the waitress, and they do serve them here. However, on her own volition, she brought a free appetizer to the table because she wanted to make sure our visit was as pleasing as it could be. Needless to say, it was. The craft beer is good "if" they have them. They have really delicious burgers and fries. Their cheese curds aren't made correctly and come out as a greasy pile of mush. Cheese curds are not supposed to be melted together and they should squeak while being chewed. The wait staff is alright and leaves you alone unless it's to fill your drink. I love this place, the atmosphere, the beer, the pulled pork nachos, the trio dip, fried okra, fries, mashed potatoes and the steaks have been wonderful every time!! I love their beers!! My friends have had the burgers and they always enjoyed them also. So glad this place came to Shawnee, we needed a brewery! It gets pretty crowded on Friday and Saturday nights, but if you wait till about 8pm, its not a big problem. There has been a time or two the service could have been better, but I love the beer so I didn't mind waiting a bit and drinking a good cold one! Great Steaks!! read more

I come here for the 2 dollar brews after work at least once a week. The service is really good and the bartenders and wait staff are polite and attentive. A good clean place to get a drink opposed to the bars that Shawnee has to offer. I'll continue coming here until I move or the place doesn't exist anymore :) read more

Bricktown Brewery. A Shawnee landmark. After living here almost two years, I thought I should give it a try. The first thing I noticed was the atmosphere. Loud, dimly lit, exactly what I expected from a gastropub wannabe. So far, so good. After being seated, we had to wait about 10 minutes to put in our drink orders. It wasn't crazy busy, but there weren't many waiters out on the floor, and the ones that were out there were running their feet off. A friend had recommended the fried Watonga cheddar curds, so we ordered a basket of those. Good lord, I may never taste anything so greasy, so irresistibly melt-in-your-mouth delicious again in my life. It's the kind of appetizer that you know is undoing all the dieting from the past year, but you don't care because it's puffy crackly golden cheese dipped in house ranch. As my partner and I raced to scarf down the whole basket, I noticed one of the cheese curds looked...funny. I tentatively bit into it and found it was a piece of fish. Ewwww. Not that it was bad, but I don't like to order cheese and get s mouthful of unexpected fishiness. Whatever, maybe I'm being picky. After the app and a 25 minute wait, our burgers came out. Were they good? Yes. Were they worth the price? No. They were disappointingly average after the cheese. I think I would go back...maybe try some of the signature dishes that change frequently, like the brisket mac and cheese. We shall see. TL;DR: get the cheese curds. They'll change your life. Don't go if you're in a hurry. The service is slow but the waitresses are so sweet. read more

Wow, great place to eat! After a strike out at a Steakhouse across the highway this place was a delight. I enjoyed a local craft beer, it was some kind of stout, can't remember the name and a great buffalo wing appetizer with what tasted like house made chunky blue cheese. For the main course I went with the house branded burger 1/2 bacon, 1/2 beef and it was very good. My only complaint is they were a little lazy with the sauce as it was a silver dollar size on my bun which I spread myself and there was too much lettuce. Both minor and easily fixed in 10 seconds. The flavor made up for all of that! I paired it with some sweet potato fries that were as you would expect and no desert. I give 5 stars for the knowledgeable and prompt wait staff and truly great craft beer and FLAVOR! read more

And I love that they have quinoa as a side item...it's great if you're trying to watch what you eat or just don't want something fried.
