So happy to try this place finally! We had each only eaten Bricktown Brewery food at banquet style parties so far & totally enjoyed ordering from the menu. "Echo" was our server tonight, and she was 100% sweet & attentive. She had lots to say about the menu (made it hard to choose, haha!) and NEVER let our drinks go empty. Fun casual atmosphere! Love the local companies featured throughout the restaurant (MIO Coalition has a great presence), and the lighting fixtures are especially nice. Great prices and value! And so many specials on different days, plus happy hour menus. We shared the 3-dip appetizer with bottomless tortilla chips. Excellent guac, salsa, & cremay queso! I ordered a chicken protein bowl and was thrilled that it was so generous. So fresh too. My husband loved his 10" pizza. Excellent soft crust, seemedike hand tossed. Had a wonderfully relaxing date with Mrs! The service was super friendly and we were luckily able to be seated immediately. I big high point was the super comfy booth! True, it had been an unusually busy day so I may have noticed comfort more than normal. The cheese dip and chips were the highlight! The cheese was so creamy and delicious! We got hungry heading east to go visit family and stopped in to satisfy our hunger. Sarah our server was the really super fantastic on our dine in experience. The Trio appetizer she suggested really was a bit hit. (Quest,Salsa, Guacamole) chips were fresh and hot. The beers were served ice cold and super tasty. My taste buds were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the micro brew. The main course showed up and was hot and in huge portioned. I have only had one thing here before today: the Boom Boom Shrimp. SMH, because that is the same everywhere. So today I decided to be adventurous. I started with the Matua Valley Sauvignon Blanc (2014). This is a crisp white, with high notes of apples. Then I ordered the Blueberry Poached Salmon, which is a salmon fillet served with blueberry salsa and steamed broccoli. Word, I was so nervous waiting to see how they did it. I was extremely apprehensive, because all too many restaurants overcook fish, so I ordered it medium-rare and it was almost perfect. Still flaky and breaking gently apart. The salsa was a true fruit salsa, which was sweet and spicy. If it were up to me I'd have used more blueberries and less apples as the salsa. The broccoli was cooked mostly correct, but with too much salt. Airy was a great waitress. Ask for her. read more

Decent food, great service, mediocre beer. That about sums it up. Frankly, I was surprised to find anything like Bricktown in Shawnee. It's not exactly brewpub central. I understand there's a Bricktown in OKC. Sitting at the bar, I asked my bartender for their hoppiest beer. This seemed to confound her at first and with good reason. Bricktown Brewery doesn't make a hoppy beer, at least not at the moment. She brought me a pint of 46 Star, which reminded me of an American mass-produced beer. Very little hoppiness and too 'fizzy'. She also offered a taste of their Remington, which wasn't any better. I gave up on hops and ordered a Brown for my second pint. It was more balanced then the other two. They compare it to Newcastle, but I think the English ale wins that matchup. Chicken fried steak (huge) with fried okra and coleslaw provided a much better meal, although the coleslaw really needs a kick. Very bland. Maybe some malt vinegar or mustard would help. I liked the steak and okra. As I mentioned, the service at the bar was great. I noticed my server frequently checked on how i was doing without saying anything and asked if I needed anything a few times. The other two working the bar also pitched in, and they were all fairly busy. A well-run bar with pleasant bartenders. They got a good tip. I think the Bricktown brewers need to take a visit to Oregon, Colorado, the California North coast or even Atlanta. Or several other places. There are much better beers being brewed in this country and they need to step up their game, in my opinion. Still, this place beats what was previously in the location. read more

I came here during a work trip. My boss and I wanted a decent place to eat after we got in town and saw good reviews for this spot. As we were seated everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly. I immediately got a flight of their beer because... well.... It's a brewery. I was pleasantly surprised with their selection and the quality of the drinks. We ordered the boom boom shrimp appetizer per recommendation and it was fantastic. Tons of sauced and seasoned shrimp over a bed of Cajun fries. For the entree I got the steak and blue cheese with sides of fries and Mac and cheese. The sides were the delicious and the steak was cooked perfectly medium rare. We were so full we didn't even look at the dessert menu. If I'm in the area again or another city with one of these joints I would definitely swing by. read more

My husband and I come here for lunch quite often and we are always sat in Loegrin's section (I really hope I'm spelling that right). She is the absolute best server we have ever had. This is going to be a live review. It's Sunday evening and I came in with 2 others. The hostess told us that the wait was 15-20 minutes. There were several empty tables, including 5 in the bar area. We asked if those were open seating and were informed that they were on the wait but the bar top was open. There were three people at the bar, so we decided to try it. We sat down, and Jade studiously avoided acknowledging us while moving at a moderate to slow speed...check that, it was slow. Once I was able to beckon her to come over, we managed to order some beers and bantered a little. It was disappointing banter. Jade told us that she was the only one of three bartenders who came to work tonight and she was really busy but would "do her best". She basically told us service would be bad. We ordered our food about a half hour ago. Right now, I'm thinking this is a 1-star review, but I'm hoping it will get up to 2 or 3 stars. Well, the food came out. 1/3 was wrong. Jade was hanging out at the hostess stand, so I went over and asked her to correct it. She was a bit miffed to have to do that. The roast beef French dip was probably a 4 out of 5. The sweet potato fries had been dying on the line for probably a half hour before they got to me. 1 out of 5. The chicken nachos (both the other people got them) are a solid 5 out of 5. Big Disappointment. We ordered a starter of the three dips and chips : guacamole, queso, and salsa. The chips were thick and cold and tasteless. The queso was a runny flavorless sauce. The salsa was just blended tomatoes with no hint of spice nor heat. The guac was mashed avocados with some watery tomato chunks, no lime or jalapeño or cilantro that could be discerned. The worst part was that what appeared to be a generous serving was actually a cup two thirds filled with a chunk of iceberg lettuce covered with a couple of tablespoons of guacamole. Really? This is a $10'app which with a full bowl of guac would have been an ok value; instead I felt like a victim. Defrauding your customers is just bullshit. I ordered a blue ribbon burger. I should have asked how big the burger was but for $12 I expected a bigger patty than this. Or maybe it started big but it was so well done there wasn't much left. It was dry and crumbly. There was no mustard or mayo just a ridiculous thick slice of lettuce, a single transparent slice of watery tomato, some pretty good blue cheese dressing, some tasteless fried onions, and some bad pickles. All on a tiny toasted bun. It was the worst burger I've had since Covid. The fries were just ok. Wife got a Cobb salad. Some tough balls of chopped grilled chicken, watery tomatoes. It wasn't good. Son got the specialty meatloaf. Said it was just ok. Just ok for something on your building. DiL got a chicken and berry salad. She didn't like it. Expensive disappointing bland food. Won't be back. Super helpful employee who seats the customers told us they were slammed; so it would be quicker if we went out into the car and called in our order, versus making the order in person. Ok... 45 min quote versus 20 min quote! Food was fantastic (we both got burgers). A few things were slightly wrong. The chili was cold. We think it was put together when our order first hit the kitchen, and then bagged it last? But they kept saying they were waiting on the chili? And then a minor pet peeve, since we were going to a hotel, we asked THREE times for utensils and ketchup. And...we didn't get those items once at hotel. Having been to the one in Oklahoma City I had decent hopes for this one and that was my own fault. We ordered their chicken fried steak with okra and meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy. Well I knew this would be interesting from the start when I asked what the waitress would recommend. She recommended nearly the entire menu including things that she doesn't eat which was odd. How can you stand behind a food that you don't personally eat? Still chicken fried steak should be hard to mess up even after being told how massive it was and how I wouldn't be able to finish it in one sitting it was lackluster at best. It dad have an absurd amount of extra breading so while that gave it the appearance of being a big portion it wasn't. The oddest part about it is for some reason they had it on a bed of fried okra which made it insanely difficult to cut. My friend got Big Mike's meatloaf which was supposed to be famous and if it was ever voted to be famous everyone who voted for it should have their voting privileges taken away. It was subpar at best, it had bacon on the exterior to add something unique but it didn't really work. Now his order should've been meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, and mashed potatoes and gravy. There was no gravy and after attempting to flag down a server multiple times one finally came over and brought him some as though we were an inconvenience. Instead of standing at the bar goofing off maybe you should focus on your clientele as you were not busy but there were plenty of uncleared and unclean tables. Our original host had to clean off a table for us to sit down when we got there. They were not slammed nor was there a rush it was just people being lazy. Now we make it to the drinks. I ordered a whiskey sour which is one of the most basic of basic drinks that any bartender should know how to make. What I received was a glass full of small ice cubes and what they tried to pass of as a whiskey sour. It was obvious that the sweet and sour was from a bottle which seems to be the norm their and that's just lazy. I was your only drink order the only time we were there and you couldn't make it properly? This makes no sense at all, the bartender didn't even come check on if I liked the drink. Met up with some friends from out of state for dinner here. Our server was training a new guy and both were great. We did have a couple of issues; steak was ordered medium and it came well done and a burger was ordered with a gluten free bun that came hard as a rock. The manager, Blake, took great care of us and had the orders replaced and gifted us with vouchers for food and drink on our next visit. Honestly it wasn't necessary or asked for but he wanted to make sure we were taken care of. We will definitely be back! Solid service and amazing customer care. read more
