Went for the Holiday Tea with my two girlfriends- it's a Christmas time tradition for us. We've been to other wonderful Victorian Tea Houses, and figured we would try Bricktown. I will say the home is beautiful. Otherwise, very disappointing: 1. We were greeted by two young ladies (dressed in ripped jeans and sweatshirts) who showed us to our table - a card table with folding chairs jammed up against an old stove. They took our coats. 2.The tea wasn't brewed - it was a pot of hot water with various tea bags served on the side. 3. It was a preset menu of finger sandwiches (cheese/chicken salad/sliced turkey); 3 scones; Christmas cookies. A Dixie cup sized serving of soup, served with plastic spoons. Water was served in plastic cups. 4. One of us is vegan, the other dairy intolerant; we asked for other menu options- they brought out sliced cucumbers on stale white bread - there was no pumpernickel or other type of bread available because they ran out. 5. After 90 minutes, they started to clear the place out, gave us our coats and the bill ($90.00), and began to break down the tables around us. Absolutely terrible that they charged that kind of money for an experience that was one step up from a lemonade stand. read more

I stayed here when traveling to Bear Mountain with my husband. We had a great time. The house is really nicely done and very comfortable. There is a lot of attention paid to detail. The hosts are not overly friendly, but they are extremely helpful and not intrusive. There was a really nice outdoor area with a Koi pond, but it was too cold to check it out. The food was good. Each morning they serve a hot meal with some bakery item, along with juice and coffee/tea. Cereal was available for those who would like it. Snacks (cookies, and pretzels) were also available in the common room anytime, as well as sodas and coffee or tea. Cream sherry and ice water are placed in the room daily. My only complaint, which is why they received 4 starts instead of 5, was that our mattress was kind of on the hard side. I won't up with a stiff back the second day I was there. The town was interesting. It's has a large immigrant blue collar population, and people were friendly. There were some very good restaurants that our hosts at the B&B suggested and we had great meals. A farmers market is open during the summer and we got to meet some town people there who were very nice. The price was average for a B&B but a little pricey for lodging. We would stay there again. read more

What a horrible experience!! The place itself is actually pretty with nice little fireplaces inside each room. $30 for a prefix menu of crap! The staff are not helpful and offer no type of substitution if you have a good allergy ( I asked for a piece of toast and was told " we have no more of that bread, it's been ALL used for next seating"!!?? SERIOUSLY!! Tea was what you buy from box at Shop Rite and a pot of hot water for table' , plastic spoons for a thimble of soup! Plastic cups for water! We were pushed out by staff breaking down tables and being handed our coats with out asking for them please consider another spot for The Tea experience! I will say I have NEVER written a review before but felt this necessary! read more

What a lovely place to stay! Michelle and Joe have created a lovely inn and they have the perfect personalities to run it. Our room was clean and stylish without feeling cramped. Bathroom was very large. I loved the fresh water and cream sherry in our room. Backyard is gorgeous, as is the front porch. I spent as much time out there as I could. The breakfasts were great. One member of our party thought the trains (tracks run behind an alley behind the property) were loud. The rest of us disagreed. read more

We stayed there while Michelle and Joe were away, but the substitute hosts Bob and Donna made for great company as well. The food was yummy and the coffee was even better ;-) It's super quiet there, except for the trains going by, which didn't bother us at all considering were city folk. It's a nice little location and it was great to only be an hour from home. Our bed could have been a little more comfortable and the quiet was a little eerie at times, but overall we enjoyed our stay. read more

Very disappointing experience. My girlfriends and I choose a special location for our annual holiday get together and thought the Bricktown Inn would be a good choice. Far from a culinary experience, the preset menu consisted of sliced up dry sandwich bread with small amounts of turkey, salmon spread and cucumber. The cookies and scones were not seemingly baked on the premises and the tea was not brewed, but served with hot water and a limited selection of everyday tea bags. The side soup was poor quality minestrone and served in a small ramekin with a plastic spoon. There were no concessions made for those of us with dietary issues. Sitting and enjoying eachothers company was cut short by the staff who made it clear it was time to go by clearing off surrounding tables and shaking out table cloths around us. All this for $30 a person. We have been to other tea houses that were a true experience. Consider other options before making reservations at Bricktown. read more

So this place is beautiful and the proprietor was so friendly and professional. Breakfast was fantastic, and the table was beautifully set. The backyard has a little pond and Adirondack chairs. The bed was comfortable, and the room temperature was good. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because the B&B is right on top of the train tracks, and freight trains blew their whistles all night and woke us up frequently. I guess the actual Inn and the proprietor should really get more stars, but the location is unfortunate, and I think it's important to note. While the Inn is located on a lovely block, the rest of the town of Haverstraw is a bit run down. read more

Michelle and Joe truly know how to welcome you. From the moment we stepped inside, we felt at home and relaxed. We were able to spend some time chatting with our hosts and enjoyed a first class breakfast the next morning. While we live locally and were hoping for a "night away", we were pleasantly surprised to feel as if we travelled much farther than the ten minutes up the road. Truly impressed with how well the Natale's keep the Inn and run their business. Clearly, the guests come first. Would stay again in a hearbeat. read more

April 23rd 2013 I have to be completely honest that I found this Bed And Breakfast on a whim and let me tell you I was meant to find this place for a reason and thankgod I did. They were Amazing the entire weekend and just so incredibly friendly and so, so, so very helpful. Yes the Bridal package comes with the rooms (such cute rooms!!!) and great food (soo yummy!!) and this and that but what I loved most about it was that Michelle went above and beyond contacting my vendors to make sure people were coming on time and everything. She kept us in check and she didn't have to do that at all one bit. I only met Michelle maybe 3 times before the weekend came and instanly that weekend we all felt like we were always friends of their family. My bridal party and my mom and myself felt so welcomed like we honestly knew them for years and years. She truely made my wedding weekend special and I appreciate it so much. I also cannot wait to get my pictures back of the ones we took inside and on the porch. I really hope she promotes her Bridal Package more because she really has something great to offer. I mean she took care of us for everything, even helped me get dressed into my dress and helped the bridesmaids get ready, which I really appreciate!! I KNOW other Brides would benefit from it greatly as I did. My mom just loved it so much she didn't want to leave hehe. I cannot wait to visit in a year. Wonderful place to say. Beautifully decorated, well taken after and great layout. The bedrooms and bathrooms were tastefully decorated and sparkling. We stayed with a group of 8 and had the whole place to ourselves. Michelle and Joe were the consummate proprietors and most welcoming hosts. This would be a lovely place to stay if the train behind the building did not run about every hour or two all night, with a loud blasting whistle. Didn't get much sleep. The owners provided ear plugs and a noise machine, neither of which helped. read more

The woman who answered the phone refused to do a single-night stay for a double-occupancy. "I'm not going to do that on a holiday," she said, with more than a hint of condescension in her voice. "Maybe if you call later in the week." As if any bed and breakfast is worth a risk of a last-minute, second "no." I asked for recommendations of similar beds and breakfasts, explaining that this trip will be my first up-state trip, and she suggested a chain hotel. Don't even consider calling this place unless you'd like to be insulted as I was. I'm a native Michigander who is used to bed and breakfasts being respectful and welcoming, quite the opposite of the short conversation I had with this place. read more

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the inn. The inn had inn sitters Kerry and Rick. They were wonderful. Kerry is a excellent hostess and made us feel right at home. Her breakfasts were wonderful. We had the front bedroom so train noise wasn't too bad. Rooms were well equiped with everything you need, even nice robes. Downtown had some good restaurants within walking distance. House was nice and cozy on a cold night. read more

I called around the area for a bed and breakfast to stay in over Valentines Day weekend 2016. I had the pleasure of speaking to Ken who was filling in for the owners at the time. Unfortunately the only room he had available at the time was a double. Before I could even think of hanging up the phone he decided he could push the beds together and then discount the room for me. I couldn't have asked for a better stay the room was warm, cozy and had its own private bathroom. The breakfast was amazing thanks to Ken's wife. Bricktown Inn is the perfect combination of old warm charm and modern convenience. read more
