I've been here several times over the years, with my most recent visit last week. The location is conveniently located off HWY 10. The food is OK; nothing memorable, but expected bar food. I had the Cashew Chicken Salad, I found the salad toppings sparse, and the dressing overly sweet. There was an over abundance of iceberg lettuce, and the salad greens : other ingredients ratio was off (too much greens, not enough salad toppings such as mandarin, cashews, etc). My table mate had the Coconut Chicken Tenders with Tater Tots, which was generous in size and tasted great. The service was fairly good, which is an improvement. My one criticism of this joint in the past was that the servers were inattentive and slow, so it seems to have improved in that regard (at least on my most recent visit). read more

We were passing through town trying to get home from a camping weekend up in Lake Itasca. We were hungry and traffic was slow and frustrating. We decided this are was a good place to look for something to eat. We saw this place, it looked decent and occupied so it looked like a decent place to try. We pulled in and i pull up Yelp. Not too much going on but worth a try. I liked the patriotic theme of this place. Being a veteran, I like to see that. I was greeted by a crabby lady that asked me if i wanted a seat. I noticed they had a large bar area and an even larger dining room. We were looking for for a more relaxed, low-key lunch. The place looked to be fairly clean. There seemed to be local business which is a sign of a place the locals like to go to. They even had a cute little patio on the back overlooking the river. I took photos of the menu for your viewing pleasure. They have a large selection of items. I was greeted by an older lady and with the entire dining room open, she throws menus down on the table closest to the door and the hostess stand near some kiddie arcade games. I wanted something more quiet and not in the middle of the entryway, I asked to move to a table farther back and she said "fine" and walked away. I moved myself, the silverware and the menus while my wife was in the bathroom from the long drive. I felt that was pretty rude. I was hoping she wasn't our server and thankfully she wasn't. My wife and I eat multiple small meals a day and we also split meals if they seem to be too large or not the healthier items we normally try to stick to. Sometimes bar food is all greasy and deep fried. We settled on a french dip with cheese and mushrooms. It was a decent sandwich, nothing crazy, just as expected. The service was spotty, we finished, no drink refills (water) and we were waiting for the bill. I hate to ask but our young waitress stopped by to see how things were and I asked for the bill, we were done. She said that she had to run food out before getting the bill for us, of course, I said okay. It must have been a lot of food or she may have forgotten for a bit. We finally got it and I handed her my card right away to get going. We still had a drive ahead of us. This place is decent but not raving. I would like to try again. I eat here more than I'd like to admit. It's time to refresh the menu with some refreshing summer salads! Strawberries are in season, how about a spinach and strawberry salad, topped with Brie and some honey roasted almonds, and add a vinaigrette dressing? Or bring back the cashew chicken salad! Pleasantly surprised, as they only had 3 stars. We just had quite the yummy lunch! The Bloody Mary's were very good too! They have your choice of a Ruben or a Rachel, yay for them! This is your typical "divey" bar near Crosby Minnesota. Plenty of parking, and a cabin-like updated interior with pull tabs, TVs, plenty of seating, and a nice deck overlooking a lake. The beer list is typical - your big breweries and a few other rotations, I'd like to see more of a true IPA vs all the lagers and lights. The burger was decent, the chicken tenders were so-so. So use common sense when you come here for food - stick to the typical burgers and sandwiches and bar food. But we were hungry and even though we wouldn't seek out the food, it was a good value - large portions at a fair price. read more

Awesome little find! The food is delicious and the pricing is reasonable. In fact, I've already gone back 3 more times! The service is fast and efficient. I've never had to wait long to be seated or to get my food. The pork chop was incredible. Perfectly cooked, juicy, flavorful. Everything always seems to be fresh. We stop here frequently on our way up north. The food is decent and they are always accommodating to my son's nut allergies. It's always steady with people but never crazy crowded. I would suggest staying away from the burger menu as they are ok but nothing more delicious than anywhere else. We live in the area and had heard the food was good so we had been looking for an opportunity to stop in. We got that opportunity on Saturday afternoon on our way back from St. Cloud. We walked in about 4:50 and got seated right away by the hostess who left us with menus and she said a waitress would be right with us. We took about 5 to 7 minutes to look over the menus and decided on what we wanted. No waitress yet. Waited another 10 minutes without anyone coming to table. Tried to get two different waitresses attention and was ignored. Fifteen minutes after being seated and no service (not even water), we got up and walked out the front door. There was no hostess or manager to talk with on the way out. Not worth the frustration. There are plenty of quality bar and grills in the area that know what customer service means! read more

I have been here many times, and the food always comes out hot. The portions are always larger than I need, so you never leave hungry. Normally, I get their broasted chicken, and that stuff is the goods (that's the opposite of the bads). Today I got the chicken tortalinni. While this place is the antithesis of a fancy Italian joint, it was pretty good. Of course, it came out really hot, and there was more than I could eat. My friend got the all-you-can-eat mystery fish special. We asked what the mystery fish is, and we were told "Alaskan Pollock." I probably spelled that wrong ... Anyway, the mystery fish was breaded and in the shape of an actual fish - forked tail and all. Said mystery fish was average. "It is what it is" was another quote about the mystery fish. My mom orders their broasted chicken here every week and loves it. We loved their cheese curds, too, and kept ordering more. My boyfriend ordered a London Broil and thought it was good (it was cooked to the correct temperature, too). I ordered a Chicken Parmesan Sandwich and it was very lackluster, almost no marinara sauce and blah chicken; however, when we stopped in there a few days later and spoke to the manager, she gave us $5 off our order that day and also told the kitchen staff about it so they would correct the problem, which is about all you could hope for. My husband and I went with some friends of ours one evening and it had been my first visit. It took quite a while to get our drinks. ( no mixed drinks, just water and beer) and the place was not anywhere near "full". My husband and another person in our group ordered all you can eat fish dinner and us ladies ordered burgers. These 2 guys were pretty hungry and got 1 piece of fish each and it took forever for our server to come back and ask if everything was ok or if we needed anything and of course the guys had long since finished there 1 piece of fish. So of course they asked for more. Again the second round of fish was quite a lenghty wait. By the time it came us ladies were completely finished and out of drinks.
