I would strongly caution anyone against using Bridal Sense for alterations. My experience was nothing short of a nightmare. They completely botched what was supposed to be a minor alteration and ties for a French bustle incorrectly. When I tried on the dress, the poor workmanship was glaringly obvious. When I attempted to explain the issues, the staff there were dismissive and rude, treating my concerns as if I was making them up. They left me standing there alone with the dress while they attended to other customers, despite knowing I had a scheduled appointment. To make matters worse, my dress was dirty and unpressed at final pick-up, contrary to what had been agreed. I had to seek out another tailor to fix their shoddy work which was immediately noticeable to them, which caused unnecessary stress and expense just two days before my wedding day! I did send an email requesting a refund for the failed alterations in an attempt to resolve this directly, but have yet to receive any response from anyone at the shop. I cannot recommend Bridal Sense for alterations--they clearly lack professionalism, skill, and customer care. read more

I said yes!!!! I worked with Cathy and Kathy and they made my experience awesome. It was like Cathy B became a second mom to me in the matter of moments. We clicked instantly and almost without me saying much she knew what I wanted. To be honest, I'm the least bridal bride ever, didn't really have this big vision for a dress, but had a general idea of what I wanted. Cathy showed my mom and I a variety of dresses and made suggestions based on my height and body type. She was also very sensitive to my concerns about my body( stupid insecurities). I tried on about 7 dresses and just felt "blah" about them. There was one that was the best out of all, but I didn't feel quite sold on it. Out of nowhere, Cathy came out with this dress that I hadn't seen at all on the racks and it was perfect!! I'm tall and curvy and it fit my body perfectly, sexy, yet elegant. There is little to no need for alterations unless I lose weight ... which I plan to. Even still, the dress won't need much. I was about to give up with Cathy brought this dress out. I was so grateful and said a resounding "yes". Even others who were in the dressing area complimented me on how great the dress looked. Made me feel so beautiful!! The level of care they put into making my day special is without words. I have been dreaming of this particular veil. It is no longer manufactured a certain way. The new ones are gorgeous. But the old design is perfect with my dress. I found 3 in the entire country for sale and one was here. My mother and best friend knew I loved it but the local store was just too much outside my budget at almost twice what they sold it here for. The ladies of this store were contacted by my mom and best friend to try to buy it for me. Unbeknownst to me, they bought it. When I saw it was no longer available online I was heartbroken. Not only did the store wrap and mail it to Florida so they could surprise me, but the store took the time to add a handwritten card and signing it from my mom and Kay. The level of kindness they showed those who mean so much to me is incredible. The care in which they wrapped and shipped the veil as a surprise says everything I could ever need to know about a company and it's owner and staff I never had the pleasure of meeting in person. They truly helped my mom and best friend to give me the veil of my dreams. I did not have a good experience here. I do not live nearby, so I made it a point to be on time for my 10am appointment. The store was locked. Someone showed up at 10:08 and said something about hitting every traffic light on the way to work. I should have left then, but I stuck it out. They knew I was waiting for them, so I thought once they opened the store they would come get me. Nope. I went in at 10:15 and explained I had a 10 o'clock appointment. The lady helping me was nice enough but not overly helpful. She didn't ask me any questions so I just started telling her about my wedding and likes/dislikes, etc. I came by myself and I felt like I was making her do extra work because I was alone. She took pictures for me, which I appreciated, but it was just not a good experience. First impressions are important, especially when you are talking about a place you will buy your wedding dress. Oh my goodness! Let me just say that my experience at Bridal Sense was PHENOMENAL. I am getting married to the love of my life on September 30, 2023. So going dress shopping was sort of like going window shopping for me because our wedding is a year away. I set my mind up to think that today was going to just be a look through. I wanted to see what I like, what I don't like, and just to feel comfortable in a wedding dress because I am a plus size bride and can get insecure about my weight. I did not know what to expect, but as soon as I got on the phone and called them, I had an awesome feeling right away. I was blown away by the professionalism and we we just over the phone. I set up one appointment on October 22, but found out I had a work event to I called them to change it on Friday the 6. Ms. Kathy, who is absolutely amazing, spoke on the phone with me to answer all of my questions and concerns. I was even able to change my appointment to the Saturday the 7th. On my way there, I got caught in a bit of traffic Let me just say that my bridal dress appointment was beyond awesome. My sales consultant, aka my *sings* Ms. CATHYYYY, was soo awesome. First of, she definitely knew how to bring me back center during my appointment. Wedding dress shopping is definitely overwhelming and can make your mind go into different places, especially when you have others around and with such an opinionated family that I have. I knew what I wanted but did not know what I wanted (yes, that sounds confusing, but is true). I showed Ms. Cathy a few pictures of some inspirations, and she literally lead me to my first dress, then had me pin my other ones showed me the racks. Their selection is a bit limited in the plus size area, but I did love the dresses that were there. It was as if Ms. Cathy knew exactly what dresses to put me in. I am a plus size bride and when I say Ms. Cathy was honest, supportive, and informative...I could not have asked for a better consultant. My first dress that she actually found was my first pick..everyone loved it and I felt amazing in it. It felt unreal to have the first one be THEE dress, so I tried on the others...but that first one...was mine. Ms. Cathy was helpful the whole time, helping me into the dresses, adjusting the girls, taming my family and two year old niece. She was amazing. I tried on the first dress at the end and fell in love with it all over again. Ms. Cathy went with me to pick our veils and she knew exactly which ones to show me, and she "jacked" me up with my veil, crown, and everything. I immediately was in shock. I never knew I could look this good..and feel so good in my body and spirit. There are some alterations that needed to be adjusted to the dress to make it mine, and that was when Ms. Nancy came in and gave so many tips and tricks that would be done for it to completely be mine. Long story short, I actually had another bridal appointment set up at another store in January, and I will be cancelling it. Without even expecting, I selected my whole bridal attire for a fair price at Bridal Sense. I came in with ideas and left with an amazing product. Sometimes it is not about the item that you are buying but how the customer service makes you feel. I felt heard, appreciated, catered to, and although there was another bride next to me getting dressed, we both receiving the individualized attention that we deserved. When it came to finding a wedding dress, everyone was incredible. Kathy did a great job and I found the dress of my dreams! Was so excited. My dress was a size 10 so I knew there would have to be quite a bit of work done to get it to fit my size 2 frame. They assured me that 90% of the time after the first alterations that they do in-house, dresses are perfect and require no more work. Sadly, that was not the case for me, as certain details I had paid for had been completely forgotten, as well as others being just plain wrong. I didn't think it was a big deal though. I went back for another fitting after the second round of alterations. Still wrong. I kept explaining what I wanted, they kept trying to convince me that's what I was seeing... but it just wasn't, my bridesmaids that came with me confirmed that, and after the money that had been paid for both the dress and alterations I wanted it right. My final fitting still was not right, but they assured me they could fix it if I could just come back in a few days and pick it up. I was on my way there for that appointment, when they called me and asked if I could come the next day. I was 3 days away from my wedding at that point. Despite my nervousness I trusted them and came back the next day. I wasn't even allowed to try my dress on. I was just given it to-go, in hopes that this time they really had corrected the issues. There wasn't enough time to take it to someone else, so I just had to go with what they had done. To others it probably didn't look as wrong as it felt to me. I still loved the dress itself, and no, my wedding wasn't ruined because of the poor alterations, but it definitely could have been better and looking at my pictures it irks me to see those things that never got fixed correctly. I feel a bit bad writing this, because everyone was very friendly and I do believe that they were trying... but if I had to go back and redo things, I would've just taken my dress to a different alterations shop instead of doing it in-house. TL;DR - great choice in dresses, great experience buying a dress! Not so great experience with the in-house alterations. Dress never got fixed correctly and was returned to me too close to my wedding to get fixed elsewhere. Wasn't too noticeable to others, but seeing how it didn't fit right in my pictures still bothers me. read more

I couldn't be any happier with my experience with Bridal Sense. When I called to set up an appointment I spoke with Nancy who asked really good questions to help her prepare for our visit. Our budget was pretty low--$300 or less--but she never made us feel funny about that. The store is thoughtfully organized and easy to navigate. Even though we were looking for budget gowns, we still had a good variety to choose from. During the process, Nancy was friendly and helpful, but not cloying or hovering. When she could tell that we had narrowed our choices down she gracefully gave us a few minutes alone to quietly talk about which dress we wanted. You can tell that she has been doing this for years--she instinctively knows just what to do or say and when/how to do it! I never felt the slightest bit pressured, only helped and appreciated! We found a BEAUTIFUL gown and enjoyed the visit from start to finish! Prices seemed to range from $100-$2000 (not a typo, I really did see a few dresses in the $100 range) and there are many sizes, small to plus. (Two reviews since I cannot post two individual ones) First review: I had an amazing experience here today! All of the staff members were very friendly, patient, and helpful (especially April). They were not trying to push for a sale but instead they were actually trying to help me find something I loved! After going to 5 other popular wedding dress stores, I found this online and decided to stop by. I was extremely impressed with the huge variety of wedding dresses and with the VERY affordable prices. I spent over two hours here and did not feel rushed or pressured at all. In addition to this, the store was really clean and has a pretty set-up. I bought a beautiful dress for a great price! Second review: My dress needed alterations and straps added to it and April did an incredible job altering my dress. She added straps that looked like they had already been part of the dress and the whole process was so smooth and not stressful at all. In addition to this, April also hand made my veil for me which was beautiful and was complimented the whole night. She was incredible to work with and completely exceeded my expectations with everything. Her customer service was incredible and she single handedly made this experience better than I imagined it to be. She is an expert at what she does and truly has a passion for this. I wanted to consign my wedding dress, but I didn't want to deal with selling it myself on a website, answering a million questions about sizing, dealing with someone who wasn't satisfied, etc. I decided to consign my dress and veil here and am very pleased with the process so far. Nancy was responsive via email and very helpful in determining if my dress was a good fit for consignment, and giving me an estimated price range. When I dropped it off on Friday, July 20, the employees (both named Kathy) were helpful and clearly explained the consignment process to me: my items will be up for sale for six months, and when they sell, I'll simply get my check in the mail for half. Easy as that, which is exactly what I wanted! Nancy followed up with an email letting me know she had pressed my dress and veil, examined it, and identified two tiny fixes that they would make for the next buyer. Overall I'm really happy with the process and the level of communication I've received, and Bridal Sense has made it super easy and stress-free to consign my dress. Thanks, ladies! read more

Bridal Sense is a nice little wedding dress shop next to the Goodwill store in sandy springs. We came in on a Saturday morning and this was my first ever time trying on wedding dresses. Kathy was my person and she explained all the dresses by the sections they are in, and then she gave us a set of clips to find the dresses I want to try on. When I was trying on dresses, Kathy was friendly, super helpful, and organized. She had a great system going on where I can just get in and get out of my dresses and not have to worry about anything else! Even though I didn't end up buying my dress here, I had a great experience! My friend who's getting married in August found her dress here for a great price. This was our first stop with dress shopping. I had no idea what I wanted or what style I liked. The staff was amazing they helped me pick out a few different styles to get an idea about what I liked! They have a large variety of dresses! I found a dress pretty quickly and they helped find a belt that brought the whole thing together. DO NOT TRY TO CONSIGN YOUR DRESS HERE. The staff examined my dress closely and said it looked (to quote them) "in excellent condition and should sell quickly." I received a call from the manager a few days later saying that she saw stains and they are now refusing to consign it (the small stains to the underside of the train were visible when they agreed to take it in). I already paid the money for them to consign it and signed the agreement- now I am having to drive back across town to pick it up. This shop clearly does NOT hold up their end of a signed contract. You will be on the losing end if you consign here. EDIT: I received a very long and angry message from the owner in regards to my negative review- she insulted me (and my husband even!!- Why is he now involved??!) directly and asked me to take down the negative review. These ladies made my bridal experience awesome. From start to finish they did everything they could to make sure my dress looked perfect. I bought a beautiful dress in the consignment section for significantly less than it's retail value of $2600. (I don't understand women that want to waste that kind money on a dress when they wear it for about 6-7 hours). They had a large selection of consigned dresses and ones that could be ordered. Most were under 2K. I can sew fairly well and was able to check the quality of gown. There were no rips or stains. The boning of the dress was in perfect condition. Once alternation time came, Sima only had to take the dress in a few inches, and added a french bustle to the back. Their alteration prices were fair and less than what I budgeted. The shop is some what old looking, but clean and well maintained. Not fancy-schmancy, but they have mirrors, changing rooms, and a stand to play dress up on. Love this place! I found my dress here :) This was literally, my very last stop in the hunt for a dress. I was seriously contemplating just showing up in jeans on my wedding day-that is how SICK of searching for a dress I was. My fiance also came with me to assist! All the dresses are categorized by style around the store and come in every shade of ivory/champagne you could think of. They are also in clear bags to protect each dress. They have sizes for everyone, as well. It's very organized. My most favorite part is how low/no-pressure they are. What I hated most about dress shopping is how much everyone wants you to SPEND SPEND SPEND on a dress you're just gonna wear ONE day. I get it's THE day but it's still ONE day. Gosh. I don't even know where to begin. After a late breakfast with my bff we decided to drive up to Bridal Sense to see what they had after looking at their website the previous evening. I picked out 4 dresses and they all blew me away! What an amazing selection, it was hard to narrow down what I wanted, but when I came out of the dressing room and my friend cried I knew I had the right one! Nancy was extremely helpful with recommendations and letting us browse through their selections. This was the first place I have stopped for my gown selection and am so happy I did! I am not a big fan of the whole wedding hoopla and enjoyed the no-pressure, relaxed atmosphere. There are many different price points to fit any budget; I got my gown for less than $700. Bridal Sense was beyond my expectations. I went kind of last minute not really expecting to find anything. It's in an unassuming building, nothing fancy, but I did not want to go to a huge busy shop and be herded around like cattle. This place was small, they allowed you to browse on your own and they were super friendly. I literally spent 45 minutes there and found my dress.
