Going to Hanans for my alterations was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. To preface, I've had my dress for a couple of years and have lost a lot of weight since I originally purchased it. My dress is very intricate, it has 5 separate layers of fabric, beading, lace, appliqué, boning, you name it. I was incredibly nervous about finding a seamstress that would be able to make the needed alterations in 4 months, while keeping the integrity of the dress, and making sure it fit perfectly. I found Hanans through various reviews on Google, Yelp, and my favorite place to get the real reviews, Reddit. People love this woman. And I 1000% know why and couldn't agree more. I'd go to battle for this woman. I think I had around 11 appointments with her total? Which is absurd. She was able to work around my travel-heavy job, addressed every little concern or question I had, and gave me the most perfect dress that I could have ever hoped for. I could not be happier with the end result, we ended up going down quite a few sizes or so from the original and it still looks like the dress I bought, just one that's been custom fitted to me. She brought my dress out of her office in a crumbled pile like laundry. I also got home today to find ink stains all over my silk dress. Everything about this place was rushed, not thorough, & not what I asked for either. My dress was a custom made, mikado fabric, 30 lb Cinderella dress made by Albanian wedding designer, Lena Berisha. Hanan took such care with hemming the dress. She is careful not to make mistakes so I had to come two times to ensure the dress was measured properly before she removed the lining but that is EXACTLY what you want. Someone who cares about your dress as much as you do. Hanan hemmed my dress all the way around and steamed it. She even helped me plan how to get it from her shop to the hotel without getting it wrinkled or damaged (the mannequin trick ). I recommend her hands down. After seeing the great reviews for Hanan and her skills I knew it needed to bring my wedding dress to her! I had a very specific idea in my head of how I wanted my dress to look (think cottagecore bridal) and Hanan was able to perfectly alter the dress to match. My dress originally had a deep v neckline with mesh cutouts, which didn't fit my vision. I asked Hanan if she could get rid of the mesh and adjust the neckline to be more sweetheart. She was able to do that and so much more! We changed the neckline, adjusted the strap length, removed all mesh, created better fitting cups and bodice, hemmed and bustled my dress. I cannot express how much I LOVED my experience with Hanan. I had a short engagement period and was rushed to find a dress as a plus size woman. All other boutiques were super closed off on helping me one shop even made faces behind my back when I told them my wedding date. Hanan altered it to be my dream dress in less than one week. She totally rebuilt the top to just what I wanted. She actually listened to me as well. PARKING/LOCATION: Plenty of parking in this shopping center! Great for getting your dress in and out of your car with no hassles. ATMOSPHERE: Beautifully decorated with good mirrors and plenty of windows for natural lighting! PRICE: Very reasonable pricing! She was willing to explain what I would be getting for the level of service and price she provided. OVERALL/CUSTOMER SERVICE: To start off, I could not get my dream dress closer to my size due to the company's bankruptcy (Alfred Angelo). Hanan had posted that she used to work with the company in a facebook group and that's how I found her! I wanted someone who knew my dress and could work with it, and she did a wonderful job! She took my two sizes too large wedding dress and altered it to fit me like a glove! She was able to explain all her alterations preferences to me (why the inner layers are fixed first then move to outer layers, or why the dress should be at a certain length). These explanations helped me feel more reassured that come the next two or three fittings, I would see the effort of her changes in time! Overall, I had a total of 5 fittings over the course of 2.5 months with the last fitting being the final try on! Hanan did a great job and I can't wait to wear my dress on my wedding day! Update: I did find my dress a bit long on the day of, due to my slouching. I was worried about it during my fittings and should have taken maybe another inch off. Hanan suggested I keep the length and explained how it would photograph better. Ultimately, I did decide to go with her suggestion. We had waited until 2 weeks before my wedding to get my wedding dress hemmed and everyone we spoke to in the Roswell/Alpharetta area was extremely rude to us, basically telling us that we might as well cancel the wedding because it wasn't going to happen. Hanan, however, told us to come in and she'd take care of it. She worked day and night on this dress. And this was an 8-layer dress! And yet she got this done in less than 2 weeks! We picked it up Friday, the wedding on Saturday. She had steamed the dress and the veil and gave me a hug before I left. Not only was she efficient, but she was such a wonderful person to be around. She was like a mother to me while I was in her shop. She always asked if I needed water, if I was too hot, if I needed to sit. She asked about my life and how nursing school was going. She asked how my wedding was going to be; my colors; my theme. She was so sweet that when I took the dress on Friday and hugged her, I was sad that I wouldn't be seeing her anymore. It had become so common because I had seen her at least 6 times within the past 2 weeks and she was just so nice.
