The stylist recommended she also try on a couple more which she did, however decided on the one she originally decided on. Our stylist was amazing, and made the experience really great for my daughter. We came for the first appointment on a Sunday, so it wasn't busy. A lot of your experience is going to depend on who you end up working with during your appointment. When I was a bride, I actually had 3 separate appointments at this location (2 to try on dresses for me and one for bridesmaids options) my first appointment was great. Fun, low pressure, it wasn't busy. I didn't find my dress but it was a good experience overall. My second appointment was terrible. I knew more about stock, pricing, brands and styles than my stylist. She wasn't particularly interested in being helpful and actually wandered off for a while during our 1 hr appointment (both rude & unprofessional) leaving my girlfriend to help me in and out of dresses (and even clipping me in) The third time I didn't have an appointment and was there sort of on a whim (was shopping at Anthro and had some extra time on my hands-decided to do some bridesmaids research) I went in and started looking around. There wasn't an appointment in progress and wasn't one for a few hours so they helped me out and it was a fantastic experience. I tried on almost everything I wanted to. But that's was luck. Otherwise I would say this location is pretty small and a bit loud due to its proximity to the Anthro store and their fitting rooms (it is inside of the store and located sort of in front of the fitting rooms). You will be changing the the Anthro fitting rooms, there's not a separate area for brides. It also seems smaller than other locations (I've been to one other in NYC a few years prior to my engagement season) so they have less stock on hand to see in person than what other locations may have. I think your experience can vary so much here based on who your stylist is and how busy Anthro is which. read more

The dress of my dreams found me. I loved my whole experience. I'm a very straight the point shopper so I knew instantly what I wanted. This was only my second stop; I was getting married in less than a month so this place was exactly what I needed. My girl, I suck with names but I do remember she had beautiful pink hair, assisted me (i want to say her name was April, like my birth month). She had my online selections pulled and ready to go when my mom and I arrived. She also gave me time to look at any extras on the rack before going to try on my options. I chose my second try on and instantly knew it was my wedding dress. You will have to have you're own seamstress to alter the dress if need be. I know included alterations are be a must for some brides so just keep in mind they have a recommendations list, but the pricing does not in use this Long story short, this hidden gem is perfect for the bohemian minimalist. I wouldn't recommend this experience to anyone who is looking for a wedding dress. Shopping for your gown can already be stressful, and the added stress of this environment wanted me to get out of there as soon as I walked in. There were multiple stylists yelling "EXCUSE ME LADIES!!" to get their way around the shop. One literally elbowed her way past me as I was looking at the dresses. On top of that, I had to share my mirror with another bride and her family. I barely wanted to show every dress to my own family, let alone squeeze past another bride, have her family looking at me, and have a time limit for how long I could look at myself in the mirror. THEN, when I asked if my sister could try on a bridesmaid dress, we were told that she would have to use the normal dressing room because this spot was reserved for brides. Like hello, I am here to buy a thousand dollar dress from you guys and 1. I can't even get my own mirror, and 2. You kick my sister out to try on a bridesmaid dress even though we were still in the middle of my appointment time? I was super excited to try on these dresses because I liked a lot of them online, but I couldn't get past the awful experience I was having to even give any of the dresses a chance. The samples were also busted to hell so it was hard to see what a new, unworn one would actually look like. DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR WEDDING GOWN FROM THIS STORE. The experience at the salon was great. Stylist was helpful and I found a dress I absolutely LOVED. That is the only positive thing I have to say. The dress was shipped to me and I was so excited to open it! Unzipped the garment bag it was shipped in to discover a hole in the lace, front and center of the dress. Immediately called customer service to see about getting the dress exchanged and I was informed that my size was sold out. Then was told that the dress itself was unavailable. Then was told that they do have it, in a size up or size down. Prior to ending my last phone call, the rep said that a size down would be shipped to me at no charge for me to try and send back whichever gown I chose not to keep. Instead of that dress being shipped, I received an email once again claiming that the dress is no longer available. However, the dress I want in the color I want and in the size I want is available online!! But..they offered a discount on the damaged gown if I chose to keep it. A pitiful discount that will not cover the cost of alterations to fix BHLDN's mistake. After many phone calls, many holds, and ZERO helpful staff I now have a wedding dress with a hole in it that I can't exchange. BHLDN and their terrible customer service has ruined this experience. If you found a few dresses on their website that you love, def come here to try them on! They had the dresses I was looking at online so it was nice to be able to try them before purchasing. However, if you're looking for a "bridal" experience, I wouldn't recommend this place. It didn't feel like a bridal appointment really. With it being in the back of Anthropology and the bad lighting, it just wasn't a great environment for wedding dress shopping. I didn't visit the Atlanta store but I wanted to give a shoutout to Brynn, who helped us at the trunk show in Nashville. I am NOT into bridal shopping -- and I really wanted a relaxed experience where I could find something great to wear on my wedding day without a bunch of hullabaloo. First off, props to BHLDN as a whole because I was expecting the trunk show to be a cattle call in a hotel conference room -- it couldn't have been more opposite! The trunk show was held in a suite in the Kimpton hotel -- I only saw two other brides while I was there and we had a private hotel room the whole time we were trying on gowns. There was champagne, snacks, and just a beautiful, relaxing environment. I swear this was better than going to a bridal boutique. Brynn helped us and she was AMAZING. She asked thoughtful questions and made subtle comments that helped you think about what you liked without pushing you in any particular direction. I came to the appointment kind of all over the place in regards to what I liked and she was totally patient in helping me articulate what I was looking for. She was prompt and made the best use of our 45 minute appointment but I never felt rushed. and to top it all of -- I found an AMAZING dress to wear on my wedding day. I would like to first echo the reviews about dresses. They are beautiful and well priced! They also have a variety for brides who do not yet know their preferred shape or style. Despite the lovely dresses, I would like to comment on my bridal experience that I had there, since I had not read reviews like this online, and I would like to let future brides know. The changing room was not a private experience. You share space with the regular Anthro changing room and sometimes, a mirror with another bridal party. It was very warm with all of the people and dresses. I felt very overwhelmed with how crowded it was. Additionally, some of the sample dresses have seen better days. It can be hard to imagine what the dress looks like in its full splendor. My consultant, Sharon, was wonderful and kind! She made me feel heard and appreciated during the entire experience. Their consultants all know everything about the dresses and are very helpful! Although I did not purchase a dress from there, I did love many of the dresses. Came in to try on/pickup a bridesmaid dress I had called earlier in the day about (the bride had put it on hold for me that morning) - I walked into BHLDN and asked the first woman I saw regarding the dress (her name was Mary Beth), she responded very curtly that all the stylists were very busy and that she was about to be very busy and that no one would be able to help me or help me try on the dress. I didn't ask for help, I had just asked them to grab the dress from back for me. Wasn't a great first impression at all and left a sour taste in my mouth - however Hannah and everyone else I encountered in the store were lovely as ever. read more

I had a bridal appointment with Reilly on 8/7 and I can't say enough about how lovely the experience was. A very relaxed environment, unpretentious and all employees I encountered were very welcoming. She knew all the details of each gown and she wasn't selling a dress, ever. Anyone who has been to several bridal shops knows that many don't have patient, knowledgeable, personable consultants and often you feel pushed to buy something when it may not be the one. Reilly made me feel at ease, and I would highly recommend making an appointment and asking for her. I found THE dress and although it was the first of 8 I tried on, and I knew I would likely gonna back to it, we still tried them all. I got my wedding dress from BHLDN and had a great experience despite some things I wish were done differently. 1. Small space - you definitely can't take more than two people with you. You'll be cramped! I went on a Friday morning and it was crowded and I felt like I was a part of three other brides appointments. Our moms were crammed together in the tiny sitting area by the one large mirror. 2. Timing - you only get an hour with your BHLDN stylist. That's not nearly enough time. I'd have been happier with 90 minutes. Luckily, I found my dress in an hour but i felt very rushed and having to wait your turn to get access to the large mirror in the fitting area can cut into your appointment time. 3. Alterations - there is no alterations department at BHLDN. You're on your own there. If you have a bridal alterations person, great! If you're like me and do not, bad news. The place I ended up going to butchered my dress and I had to get it fixed four days before my wedding. It was really stressful. HOWEVER, all that said I still would highly recommend BHLDN to anyone. Background: This was my second store to look for wedding dresses and I'm so glad it wasn't my first place! In my opinion, I think your first experience should be what you see in the movies.. More intimate, champagne, etc. The first store I went to was more intimate, I got a fitting room and got my own mirror space with my mom and sister sitting right there on a couch. I came out and got to spend an ample amount of time twirling, twerking, whatever to make sure the dress was right. I didn't feel rushed at all and I didn't have to worry about other bridal parties because they had their own space too. Anyway, I had a great time here and I will definitely recommend BHLDN to other brides-to-be! However, there are a few things that I think people wouldn't like about BHLDN so here is my review! Prices: You can see the prices online and they are on the affordable side. I caught them during a sale so I got it even cheaper than expected! Yay more $ for booze! Hehe. Fitting rooms: You basically share the fitting room with Anthropology shoppers. The front of the fitting room layout is for the shoppers and the back few rooms are for BHLDN. There are just chairs and one mirror space that allows you to see yourself in the mirror. I had an appointment at the same time as another bride-to-be so she and I had to share the mirror.... Her guests and my guests were sitting on the chairs along the fitting rooms, parallel style. So I was coming out in dresses to total strangers and my friends. If you are shy or more of a reserved personality, this would have been totally uncomfortable! Also, if you don't want other people's (stranger's) opinions on the dress, this would have been an issue as well... Because as soon as you come out, the other bride's guests are looking at you too (you can't not look as a guest... the space is small and of course they're gonna look) and you can just tell based on their facial expressions what they think of the dress and it was kind of awkward for me hearing some of them whispering things about the dress I have on to their friend or something. But, I was like, yolo whatever. Words can't bring me down. Jk. I was uncomfortable. Time frame: You only have 1 hour to find "the one". Quite frankly, I hate shopping in general and looking for a wedding dress was so stressful. I was sweating the entire time I was trying on dresses.... You get hot... And the time frame... It was making me nervous because I wanted to make sure I had enough time to try on all the dresses that I requested so I don't have "what if's" or whatnot. Ultimately, I was thankful for the one hour limit because it pushed me to make a decision (I was very determined) and I'm very happy with that!!! YAY NO MORE SHOPPING! Alterations: They don't have an on-site alterations available but they do have their recommended places around the area. Shipping: Unless if the dress is like backordered, it only takes 5-7 business days for your dress to come... So if you need something quick, this is it! (Most places say dresses can take up to 5 months to come) Conclusion: 1) You have to share the fitting room space with strangers (not intimate) 2) You only have an hour (may feel rushed) 3) Prices are affordable (more money for flowers, booze, food, all of the above) 4) Staff is amazing (and trendy) 5) Jeni's ice cream is across the street (treat yo' self) Good luck finding a dress! read more

Customer Service at its BEST!!!!! I purchased a Bhldn dress last June for a wedding I am in this April. In that time I became pregnant and the size dress I bought no longer fit. After a month of stressing and trying my best to get back to my prebaby weight I am still about 15 lbs from fitting into the dress. The ladies at Bhldn were more than accomodating to let me exchange the original dress for a larger size almost a year later. This is so far past their normal 30 day policy. I ordered my dress over the phone with a lady in the Atlanta store, last Friday. She said shipping would be 2-3 days. On Wednesday I called her since my dress hadn't arrived. She looked at her computer and said shortly after submitting the order, it was rejected. (No one called me to deliver this news). She said let me look into it. (Thank goodness I called). She said I had to call order processing. That gentleman said my account was flagged which automatically caused the cancellation of the order. It was flagged because 5 years ago I refused a delivery of a $14 item from Anthropology. I don't remember that. Nevertheless it seems someone should've called and told me they cancelled my order. The man said they don't have time to call 1,000 - 2,000 people a day to tell them their order has been rejected so they send an email. They did send an email. I've had 7 emails from anthropology in the last week but most were promotional advertising so I just didn't look at each email - I'm swamped with wedding planning and I don't look at mass marketing emails. The clerk at the Atlanta store knew I was getting married in 15 days and didn't follow through with managing my order or communicating with me. The man said they'd give me free expedited shipping and apologized and removed the hold on my account. So I asked if the dress was still in stock. He checked and said it's now back ordered. I just bought a dress from a store I could walk out with. Very weak follow through or thoughtfulness for the bride at a special time in their lives. I'd rather deal with a boutique shop that builds a relationship with their client. read more

Prior to my appointment, a dress caught my mom's eye and Austin helped get her quickly set up in a dressing room and brought beautiful additional dresses she might like. She was great at helping me narrow down my favorites based on my desires for my wedding day, and I ended up saying yes to my BHLDN dress that day! My bridal consultant, Abby, was very nice and so helpful with picking out dresses and getting them on and off (which proved to be challenging for some, as I tried on mostly ballgowns). This BHLDN location definitely loses points when it comes to space for your guests and mirror time. 1. The bridal fitting rooms are in the same area as the regular fitting rooms for Anthropologie, so that is a bit weird. 2. If another bride is trying on at the same time as you, you have to take turns for the ONE mirror, and show your dress not only to your guests, but to hers as well. Awkward and not at all the private, special experience you receive at other bridal shops. I did end up liking a couple of dresses here, and the lack of space and privacy wouldn't have deterred me from purchasing I guess (thought I still found my dress at another store), but once I went to another bridal shop, I realized how much BHLDN felt like a budget experience. read more

Where do I even start? I made an appointment a month and a half in advance, and drove six hours to try on these dresses. In making the appointment, I listed about 15 dresses I wanted to try on. Most were bridal, but maybe 3 were bridesmaids dresses I were looking at as "alternative" wedding dresses. When I arrived, my consultant told me they only carried FOUR of the dresses I wanted in the store, not including the one dress I was desperately in love with, which I indicated when making the appointment. There was no indication that the retail location wouldn't have everything they had online. They didn't bother to call me and tell me this, and my consultant told me they could order it to the store to try on, but it would take two weeks. I think that would have been a great thing for them to do BEFORE my appointment, since they had so much notice and knew what I liked! Again, I don't live in town so waiting two weeks was not an option. Since I only had four options now, I walked around and pointed out a few more dresses I kinda liked. I told my consultant that I DIDN'T like: poofy skirts, strapless necklines or belts. My consultant spent the first TWENTY MINUTES of my appointment pulling dresses into my dressing room. Why even list the dresses you want online if A.) they aren't going to have them at all and B.) They aren't going to have them ready when you arrive? The appointments are only an hour long so that is a HUGE chunk of time. When I got into the dressing room, I only recognized one dress! She didn't pull any of the dresses I pointed to, and instead pulled three others: a poofy skirt, something random, and a strapless dress. When I asked about the dresses I pointed out, she said they were bridesmaids dresses and I wasn't "allowed" to try them on during a bridal appointment, but that I could try them on afterwards. Whatever. I tried on the one dress I liked, and when I went to go look at it there were two other brides crowding around one mirror. The consultants' office was right next to the mirror and people were scooting in and out, so between the office space and the other brides I felt like I was constantly in the way of someone. This "bridal area" is literally just a dressing room it shares with the anthropologie its attached to. I felt like I was in a mall. It's really stupid, honestly. Next I tried on the strapless dress, because I was trying to keep an open mind despite hating it, and I also didn't want to hurt the consultants feelings. I finally get a space in front of the mirror and she says, "now, I know you hate belts but I think this one looks really good with a belt..." and starts putting a belt on me! Not one belt, but TWO BELTS! Jeez louise. At this point I'm totally done with this appointment and I know there's no way I'm going to find anything I like, so we cut it short and I go grab the "bridesmaids" dresses I want to try on. I am told I have to wait for the bridesmaids room to try on the bridesmaids dresses. You don't need an appointment to try on these dresses, but I guess you need the one room? There are literally 8-10 other dressing rooms open, but I wait 20 more minutes to try on the dresses in the bridesmaids room, which is literally exactly like all the other dressing rooms. The dresses feel cheap and won't zip, but at this point I'm just kinda pissed off with the whole experience so maybe I was just biased. I am so thankful that this was my second bridal appointment and not my first. If it had been my first, I probably would have cried and given up, honestly. I did not feel special at all- in fact, I felt like an inconvenience. There was no consideration given to what I wanted- what I indicated online or in person. Their ridiculous policies made the experience twice as long as it should have been, and fighting over mirror space as a BRIDE is absolutely ridiculous. If they want you to spend $2,000 in the store, they need to give you a $2,000 experience, not a cheap, poorly lit crowded, super rushed time. read more

My experience here was very good! I didn't end up getting my dress from here, but it was very close. I ordered 3 dresses from here, knowing I could return them if needed, so that I could check out the dresses I loved in my own size (the default sample sizes are always too large on me to truly tell how something would look if I chose it), which was a HUGE help with choosing my final dress, all three that I ordered looked wonderful and were so hard to choose to send back, even though I knew I wanted a dress from a different boutique by the end of it. The dresses are youthful and beautiful, the consultant I had (I think it was Lauren) was very helpful and sweet and patient. Some of the sample dresses weren't in amazing condition but it really change much of the experience. There weren't any other brides there at the time, but the mirror area wasn't totally private and I could see how it would be a little annoying to have to share that little area with another bride. Overall it was very very nice and I would definitely recommend to a friend, great dresses, great staff, and great return policy if needed! read more

My bridal consultant, Alexis was amazing! She was so personable and made me feel so special. I visited the boutique two times; however, I purchased it a couple months after my first consult. The second time I went back to try on my wedding gown and explore purchasing a reception gown with my entire bridal party and event planner. Alexis remembered very intimate details about me, my fiance and son from my first consult with her. It blew me away when she inquired about my son's first year of college. Although, she appeared significantly younger than me she was able to relate to how important and special this experience was for me and how I would have these memories forever. I had the best time at my BHLDN appointment. I was running a little late, but when I got there Alexis was waiting for us right at the entrance. She was so accommodating to my family and myself (I brought one more extra person than I was supposed to be allowed). I honestly wasn't planning on finding a dress at BHLDN, I only went because I thought my MOH would like it. I found a few dresses at other shops, but fell in LOVE with my dream dress at BHLDN. It was the same price as some of the others that I had really liked elsewhere and was actually less than some of them. Everyone working there was so nice and got me measured and my dress ordered quickly. My dress was mailed to my house in LESS THAN A WEEK (which is virtually unheard of in the wedding world). They gave me recommendations for where to get it altered. I went with one of those (RL Couture) and she did an amazing job. So in love with this store and the experience(s) I had here! My first appointment was last week, and I tried on so many gowns with Brynn. She was awesome, and was so helpful. We found a set of separates that I really liked, but I wasn't sold on it. Brynn didn't push me to buy, and I had been really worried that my consultant wouldn't be open and honest with me and would just try to get me to buy something. That was not the case with Brynn at all! She could tell that I wasn't 100% committed, so she asked me to sleep on it. I did, and decided to schedule another appointment for the following week to try on some other dresses. Fast-forward to today, when I had another appointment at BHLDN with Claire! She was great from the start, and all of the ladies were so sweet and loved entertaining my 5 month old while we waited for his grandma to join us! Claire had my choices waiting in the room for me, and we got started! She really understood what I wanted, and was honest with me when I asked for help. The final dress I tried on was THE dress! I have a hard time rating BHLDN because I found the dress online and tried it on in store and it was so perfect and easy to find the perfect and beautiful dress... but that's basically where my good experience ended. I ordered the size in store that the assistant sized me too and it was way too small. Thinking I could just go up a size to fill the gap in the back didn't help anymore and I even called up to helpline to ask them what I should do. The gap in the back wasn't even very large so I thought going up just a size would've done it. I then proceeded to guy and return the dress 4 times before I just gave up and ordered a overly large size so I would have time to get it in and ordered before my wedding. The whole process has taken months and I finally am getting the dress altered which I won't get back but 9 days before my wedding so we've really cut it to the wire with them and everything that could've been handled if there was more time taken at the store assuring the soaring was correct for the dress style. She sized me the same size as other bridal shops I went to but because of how this specific dress cuts low I wasn't able to clasp it together. They've definitely made it easy to receive and return so I could get my refund in but heaven forbid I would've needed this dress on a closer deadline I wouldn't have had this dress to wear, thankfully I started this process months ago when I ordered the first dress but it's been disheartening ever since. With the amount of money I'm spending I would've love my dress experience to be a little bit more possible from the beginning instead of it being this huge looming cloud over my whole experience. At this point I barely remember what it's like to want to even wear this dress and have that magic moment feeling of excitement but I know it'll be beautiful for the wedding. Hopefully this fifth time buying this dress will be it. I just don't understand how I was sized for a 4 but ended up settling on a 12 finally fitting when my normal dress size for years is a 2/4. Can't deny how gorgeous this dress is but I've angry cried over it not fitting time and time again when they've told me it will. read more
