I did get to view other otters from a different angle and they were so happy and silly. It made me smile. Loved the frogs and that you can see different exhibits in a multi-level way. The rainforest area was also really cool. Saturday in May was BUSY!!!! Frequently super crowded areas, felt a little trapped at times. I tried to stay outside and on lower levels for better viewing. Even with timed entry it was still pretty hectic. Would love to return on a quieter day. Wasn't super impressed with the food options, but I also don't see why you would need to stay long enough to eat here- go back into the city!

The Center is run by volunteers who have consistently been upbeat and eager to answer questions while caring for the animals. Touchtanks are currently closed due to a sickness with seastars but there are still several small aquariums to peer into full of local marine life. They sell all manner of items for various animals, from salted chew toys to bird cages, but no actual pets. They sell fish, but that's it. And not the kind of fish you want to see swimming around that expensive aquarium you bought, either. You have a better chance of finding an exotic-looking fish in Salish Pond. The staff also appears to be completely uneducated on the subject of their own merchandise, frequently claiming that they have to "go check that out" when asked even the simplest of questions. Avoid this pitiful excuse for a business at all costs, unless you prefer to treat your pets like POWs in a third-world country. Don't confuse the single star for even minimal support of their scam. They only get it because they didn't get hostile and defensive towards criticism like that place in Abbotsford, which will remain un-named.
