Bridal Veil Falls is a fantastic quick stop to stretch your legs if you're driving out to the…read moreOkanagan or BC Interior. It's a short, 15-minute walk to the falls. The trail is shaded under the forest canopy, though it is entirely uphill, so be prepared for a bit of an incline on the way up. The waterfall view at the end is gorgeous! There is plenty of parking and washrooms available on site. It can get quite busy, a large tour bus pulled in right behind us. Overall, a highly recommended road trip stop.

We arrived there a short time and drive after our early-morning breakfast in Mission, and like our last visit, did a self-guided tour of the grounds, taking in as many of the sights and sounds as possible. I was not expecting to see much activity - it was too early in the year to see any returning adult salmonids - but like our last visit, at about the same time of year, preparations were being made to accommodate this year's fry in the outdoor rearing troughs and ponds. Still did not see sturgeons in 'The Lagoon' (suspect they're long since gone?), but sure enjoyed catching all the 'early-spring' sights and sounds throughout the grounds at this time. It's such a lovely spot. And the drive in to the facility, winds through one of the most beautiful valleys in the Lower Fraser Valley area. Now to make a point of planning to get there in the fall, when adult fish brood stock collection/sorting 'action' should be taking place.

Came here with Kwoky & Christian to check out the Frasier Valley Bald Eagle Festival. I was super…read moreexcited to see a hatchery, so this was pretty much a check off the bucket list for me. This place is pretty awesome, it's open every day for visitors and during the right time of the year you get to see the salmon jumping up inch lake to get to spawning grounds. We didn't get to see the fish mating, but they showed us the fish in holding tanks and we were able to identify coho and chum salmon. The volunteer guide we had was really fun and though she admitted to not knowing much she tried to be as helpful as possible and made us enjoy our trip there even more. They even have a pond in the back that holds two giant white sturgeon fish (well, one was white the other was apparently sunburnt) over 8 ft long! The last thing to see there are the baby smelts that they're growing. They plan to release them in the Spring, but we could see a whole cluster of them at the hatchery, so that was neat as well. They had two large tanks at one end to show baby and adult cohos so you could compare the difference. And the washrooms here are super clean. Thanks Inch Creek for the fun Sunday! :D

There is free parking as long as your park in front of the Golf course near the Chevron. Even though we weren't at disneyland it felt like we were at disneyland. I'm not sure if it was the 3D blue candy cane waterfalls or the life like tree stumps, by I reckon, we will putting around this mini-golf course again REALLY soon!

Update: went 2 years later and did the extreme course with my 12 and 14 year old kids after the…read moreclassic course. It was really fun, and it's quite the workout if you're not usually climbing. Friendly staff who are helpful and great and explaining things. We had booked, paid, and filled waivers ahead of time but checking in took 15 minutes, as they only had one window open. In the harnessing area, we were there on a weekday morning and we were the only ones in our own group so there was no wait. We started with the classic course. There was a staff who stayed with us for most of the first half, and he said we finished the first part fast and caught up to a slow family. So he suggested we do the next course and then come back, which we did. He left us after awhile so when we went to the extreme course, no one was there to show us what to do and it's a different lock system so I had to go find someone. The extreme course is pretty challenging in my opinion, and this was our 3rd time at WildPlay. I'm a middle-aged mom who doesn't work out and managed to do it! My arms were sore after but it was fun !! There was an overweight kid who had a hard time just climbing a ladder on the classic course - so you have to be someone fit to do it but I think for the majority of active people it's doable if you have an open mind, like challenges, zip lines and climbing. Do it! YOLO!

She has already asked to go back for a week in the summer. Yeah! She says that she had a great time and that everyone was friendly. Also the newer cabins have bathrooms built in so no walking to the communal bathroom. (I had to use the communal one that was a few minutes walk away when I was a kid and it always reminded of Camp Crystal Lake) *play Jason creepy music here* Overall, I wish I was a kid again and could go have fun like this!

My daughter stayed at Timberline Ranch for one week. The ranch is Christian which was fine with us,…read morethough we aren't religious. We thought they'd say Grace at meals and perhaps have a few Sunday school type activities throughout the week. We attended a tour prior to the camp and the information given there was very different from what my daughter experienced. The camps primary goal seems to be to convert the kids. They had 1 hour plus each morning of 'Chapel' and each evening a few people gave a testimony about how Jesus saved them. Virtually all the songs the kids sang were religious. On one day, if the kids misbehaved during a meal, first their utensils were confiscated, then their chair, them they were made to eat on the floor. My daughter wasn't given an opportunity to bathe all week, the schedule is so tightly packed between activities and indoctrination. She told them she wanted to go home, she wasn't permitted to phone us even though she was very upset. No one called us on her behalf. Essentially she was a hostage.
