I will try and make a long not so long. I ordered a dress in April that was never ordered until two months later and not sure if it will come in on time. When I ordered, I was told it could take up to 10 weeks but usually doesn't take that long. We are now working on 16 weeks with at least another weeks according to the shop. When I called I was thanked for reminding the manager who said she was out on vacation and someone else helped me is why there was a mixup. Bottom line is they want to give me someone else's dress. The world is different today with supply chain issues and high cost of keeping inventory on shelves. Learning that the hard way by going store to store and being told that they only have each dress in one size made knowing which dress was "the one" for my daughter challenging. There were some dresses she literally had to hold up in front of herself and look in a mirror because they were made for a street size 4 or 6 and having curves makes it hard to see if the dress will be flattering on your particular body shape. Every store we visited prior to Bridaltown was happy to charge us $100 per dress to bring a sample dress in for us prior to ordering but that's expensively ridiculous! So...I remembered Bridaltown in Collegeville from when I bought my own dress 31 years ago. I had no problem then, and my daughter and I had no problem so far with Linda or the store. We'll update again when the dress comes in which is anticipated for between April and May 2024. I will say that it's never easy to hear someone guide you to the appropriate rack where dresses that will fit your type of body reside. You also immediately need to get used to hearing sizes that are literally 2 to 3 sizes bigger than your regular street size dress. Get used to that. This is how wedding dress sizes go. The women in my family have tiny waists and curvy hips. We know we need bigger sizes to go over the hips and then they need to be altered; it's fact, not mean, fact. It's all in the way your are told what looks nice on your type of body and how you are directed to those dresses. Bridaltown was the only store we visited that had multiple sample dresses in fit and flare and Aline styles in sizes that my daughter could try on in the store. They even had her particular dress we wanted to see in not just 1 size, but 2 sizes she could try. What was impressive was that their sample sizes were not the usual street size 4 or 6 dress size we had grown accustomed to everywhere else. They had 2 sizes of this fit and flare dress in stock in the store in street size equivalent of an 8 and 10. This meant my daughter COULD say yes to a dress right there and didn't have to spend $100 to order in a sample. On a few side notes, Bridaltown sold the big old pink building several years ago and downsized to a smaller store in a little strip mall. It is sparkly and clean, clean, clean inside. They have ample inventory, but not nearly as many dresses as back in the 90's, but who does? Linda and I discussed the many bad reviews which were mainly about people being offended by being told which rack to pull from for either what they were looking for or for their body type. I personally would rather that my daughter not be wasting her time and the store's time trying to get dresses on that a) aren't going to fit her, b) won't look flattering on her, or c) will make her feel bad about herself if they don't go over her hips. Linda was not mean about it; she was just instructive and very knowledgeable. One recommendation I have is that they could try to add a nice backdrop wall for the girls to be able to get their "I said yes to the dress" photo because that would modernize the process a little bit for the current social media world we all (unfortunately) live in and make it a little more festive for the girls when they do say yes. They do give you a lovely gift bag with champagne and chocolates when you do say yes, a nice touch! I called to make an appointment and asked if they had dresses within my budget or under $1000 and she said they did. So I went and nope. All starting at 1100. So not sure why they would say they. They used to be a larger place but now they are smaller with limited selections. I wasn't a fan of the customer service. I felt like they had their noses turned up and were not friendly. I don't know what gives someone that attitude by working in a bridal shop but it just was not welcoming and not a comfortable experience. read more

When a bride walks in, maybe Linda you should have started with a "hello" instead of looking at bride (who is a size 12-14) and saying "oh, the plus sizes are over here". Went to Bridaltown because I had gone there many years ago when it was in the large pink building and had a great experience. Well today the experience was awful! Linda was the woman who was working on 6/24/23. We had an appointment for 4 pm. We live an hour away, so we wanted to make sure we arrived on time. We arrived about 15 minutes early for our scheduled appointment. We were greeted, asked to take a seAt and they would be with us. Ok, no problem. So we were then advised we could go to the back of their store and look at two very small racks of bridesmaids dresses. Linda walks back and I ask I'd Morilee is the only designer they carry, that the website had Bill levkoff and there were some dresses that the girls were interested in. Linda says, " oh, that website is not accurate. We haven't carried that designer for about 7 years. ". I said, " well you may want to think about updating your website to reflect what you are actually carrying." She says, "Websites are so hard to up date." She then walks over to my daughter who is the bride and starts to as her the usual questions: when's the wedding, what colors is she Looking at, what style dress. Then she hits her with, " have you bought your dress yet?" Normal question, so my daughter answers "yes, I have" Linda then says oh where did you get it from?" My daughter tells here the bridal shop. Linda then proceeds to say, "oh, well they're brand new. They've only been around for a few years." Ok? She then says," How much did your dress cost?" To which my daughter says, " enough" . My family member was there and was like, " how is that relevant to what we are here for today?" Lind the stammers and asks my daughter this question AGAIN! Now I speak up, I said," I do not feel comfortable with this line of questions and I really do not see how it is appropriate or professional." She say to me,"Why are you so angry right now?" So trying not to-get mad and ruin my daughters day, I simply look at the VERY IGNORANT WOMAN and say, " your line of questions are not relevant to why we are here, I do not appreciate you asking them. Please move on." She then says, well my boss make me ask the questions. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. Ok so the girls picked out dresses, well Linda was of no help. She was to busy talking to the owner on speaker phone complaining about us. And only once my family made a loud enough comment that we could hear her doing this did she take her boss off the speaker phone. We were polite and thanked Linda for her time and left 30 minutes after we arrived. I will NEVER EVER recommend this place to anyone for a wedding gown or a bridesmaids dress. We ended up at David's Bridal and had the best service, got the dresses we needed(that are stunning BTW) and I left with a happy bride and Friday party. read more

In an attempt to understand why a dress was ordered 3 - 4 sizes too big, it was stated that the shop goes by a chart. In examining the chart, in actuality the dress could have ordered to dress size. Then the shop hits the girls w am automatic 90$ hem and a 40$ bust tuck, despite having ordered 7 dresses. When the request went in to speak to the owner, who got on the phone w the shop's manager, he could be heard saying 'I'm not wasting my time talking to them'. Just don't. Even if you think you have the patience and aren't "that girl" who needs the bridal experience, just don't. I went to very few bridal stores, and I ignored the reviews about Bridaltown. I thought "if I get a good deal, I don't care about the experience, good customer service, etc." I ended up getting my dress here, but it was a mistake. I was engaged for a short time: needed to get a dress off the rack. I went to Bridaltown on a Sunday because their dresses are discounted Sundays. No one was ever rude, but very sketchy, manipulative, dirty, lying to cover things up.... I told the consultant I could get into dresses myself. She stood there wanting me to undress. I said again, I can get into them myself. She refused to leave the room (?!?!?!) and started cleaning up other things and said "I promise I won't look." I stood there until she left. Then she would knock on the door AFTER opening it asking if I needed help after I was only in there for seconds??? I went alone. Was texting my mom about options. Consultant (Linda) would look over my shoulder and read my messages?! My phone died and I wanted to go to my car to charge it to finish up my conversation with my mom. She told me if I went to my car I would not get the discount. Because I go out to my car for a few minutes?????? The dress I got was a size 14....I'm a size 6. Absolute massive on me, but they reassured me it would look perfect. I even met with the seamstress, Elsie. They all said it would be great and no worries about the size difference. Elsie had good reviews which made me put everything else aside. I hoped she would be the key to my dress looking how I wanted. I was wroooooong. Very very wrong. Elsie is a very sweet, overworked, very old lady. She was NOT CAPABLE of doing what needed to be done to my dress. I went back so so so many times and barely any changes were made. One day Linda calls me and says the dress I bought was too big, and if I loose anymore weight the dress won't look good on me. She also said "I remember it not being too far off from your size, and it just needs too much done to it now, you really have to stop loosing." I lost my shit. It was NEVER close to my size. She was telling me the dress I paid for in full was not going to work weeks before I got married. I spent hours and hours with Elsie over multiple multiple days. She spent 45 minutes one day working on the left side when it was the right that had the issue!!! You could tell she was sick of working on it because she would try to convince me it looked perfect. BS. It was still way too wide, straps were wrong, puckered like crazy on one side. I ended up making changes myself (I sew a bit, but I do not make clothes) and also went to another seamstress, paying more money, days before my wedding to get some last minute miracle work. The dress was never right. I start miles below the boob cups, the bottom is so large, the straps cut into me all day: my arms are still scabbed, and I got married two weeks ago. The day I went to pick up my dress because I was DONE, they gave me a used garment bag. I told them it was not mine. Mine was brand new and had a pin on it so I knew it was mine. They were seriously trying to convince me it was mine when it had SOMEONE ELSES GARTER AND VEIL IN IT! I didn't have EITHER at my wedding. They were like "yeah that's yours"!???!?! How can you convince someone it's their veil and garter when I had neither? By the by, another bride would not have had their garter or veil if I took the freaking bag. The place is a dump....outdated, filthy, paint falling off, broken furniture.... The heat was broken (this is in January) while we were there one day for 6 hours. Elsie stayed hours past close. No way near done even after all that. We were freezing even with our jackets, gloves, hats, scarves sitting there. We could hear a mouse in the wall making a nest the whole time. We saw his hole and hoped he wouldn't come out. I had already paid in full, and they tried to convince me I hadn't. They lost my receipt and record of my dress. Stay away if you're a plus size bride!!! My friend was getting married (yes, WAS!) and their selection of plus-size gowns were terrible. They are housed in a building towards the back of the main door. ALL of the downs were dated, circa 1989! We tried to take pics of her as she tried on the various gowns and the attendant, with her nasty hacking cough, said it wasn't allowed. Who doesn't take pictures before they buy! C'mon.... I was scared to look here because the pink and lavender building initially scared me(the inside is even scarier), but I ended up finding my wedding dress here. They have a large selection of dresses and many options at different prices. I ended up buying a sample gown for 50% off the original price. I had read some negative reviews and was skeptical about leaving my dress there, so I took it with me and am having alterations done by my own tailor. The dress was in great shape, just wrinkled. But other than that you couldn't tell it had been tried on before. I would say it's worth a look if you are on a budget as they have a large selection of sample dresses at great discounts. After reading the last review I would be hesitant to order from them. But if you're willing to buy something off the rack, I would check them out. read more

Bridaltown of Collegeville has the worst customer-service I've ever experienced, I don't know how they are still in business. My Bride to Be found a dress at Bridaltown of Collegeville, the initial shopping experience was ok, but once they have the dress and your money, forget it! After my new wife bought the dress, she scheduled a few fittings leading up to our big day; she was told the alteration cost would be $150. At the first fitting I received a call from my crying wife because she was told she had to pay $400 up front or the appointment would be cancelled right then and there. After calming my wife down, I told her to ask for a manager or the owner to help get this resolved..."He is the owner" she responded. After a tough day, my wife scheduled the final fitting for a week and a half before our wedding. She called a few days in advance to confirm the appointment and got anything but help or service. The first person said she wasn't in the system and to call back next week, the next person said the alterations would not be done before the wedding. After 4 different phone calls, the folks at Bridaltown "allowed" her to come in for her final fitting. We had a few restless nights not knowing what kind of crap they would pull this time. The alterations got done and she had her dress. An hour before our ceremony, all of the alterations started to become un-done, the dress could not even stay up without someone holding. Over a half dozen safety pins later and a fair amount of stitching from a few friends, we were able to start the ceremony 35 minutes late because the dress FELL A PART. read more

This store has been opened for 40 years and I can understand why! The people there are so helpful and so nice that I left that store feeling very happy and saying Yes to the dress. When I first got to the store I was a bit scared to come in just because the whole store was pink and it looked worn down but never judge it by its cover. You need to come in and give it a try. After my terrible experience at David's bridal I've been feeling very disappointed and I thought to myself " would I find my dress" so anyway. I was helped by this lovely kind lady and took me to the dresses which was located in a different part of the store. The place had two levels of dresses. One for the plus size and one for regular size. They had so many dresses to choose from. When choosing the dresses, I really had no idea what type of dress would look nice on me so the lady was nice enough to make suggestions and got me to trying dresses that I thought I wouldn't dare wearing which I ended up picking out about 7 dresses to try on. Their changing rooms were so big and spacious whereas to David's I was in a very small room where I can barely move around with the dress. The lady was very very helpful with getting me in the dress, and tying it all together. The experience was so different and opposite from David's and I was very thankful for that. I was hopeful again to finding that dress After my third dress I had already picked out my favorite. I tried all 7 but I chose my winner and that was it. I got a good deal on my dress. $2290 down to paying $785. You can't beat that!!! I came out as a happy bride and I can't wait to wear it on my wedding day. read more

I purchased my wedding dress from bridaltown and it was probably the oddest experience I have ever had. When you first arrive at bridaltown it looks extremely run down. The entire building could benefit from some repainting and a good spray wash. When we arrived we entered the main office and I was surprised to see how outdated much of their merchandise was. The bulk of the accessories sold look like they haven't changed for twenty years. Not much in the way of modern items. Most of the carpeting is old and looks like it could use a good cleaning. We met with our stylist and talked a bit about what kind of dress I was looking for. Now, I am not a small woman. I am about 5'10" with some serious curves. I was really alarmed when we were first lead outside of the building and down a path to what I would call "The plus size barn". It was a tiny building detached from the main building in a similar state of disrepair with exclusively dresses for larger women. Honestly, it was a really embarrassing place to be taken to especially since the bulk of the dresses were huge on me. After striking out in the barn, we went back to the main building and were taken upstairs to the normal collection of dresses. The stairs are old and creak loudly. There was a large selection of dresses at varying price points and I was able to find the dress for me which was heartening! We ordered the dress and it arrived faster than expected. The odd part was the dress arrived with a sash and flower that I did not even know came with the dress. When we went to the first fitting even the stylist was surprised which makes me suspect they do not keep their floor dresses organized or have a good understanding of the dresses in stock. It was certainly odd. When we returned for my first fitting, I must give credit to the excellent seamstresses at bridaltown. The seamstress who took my measurements and did my alterations was excellent! She knew exactly how to alter the dress to fit me and was delightful to work with. However, one thing we were not expecting when we arrived was the manure in the front flowerbeds. It was honestly not a place I was comfortable taking my beautiful wedding dress into and smelled and looked horrible. We asked the front desk representative regarding this and she seemed honestly upset about it, however when we came back several months later for my final fitting the manure was still there. I would not recommend purchasing your wedding gown from bridaltown after the experience I had, at least not until some serious renovations are done. read more

Ok I admit I was scared to look based on previous reviews, but I had no luck finding a dress so far and since I live local I figured I had nothing to lose. My consultant was amazing. She pulled so many dresses for me!! I tried on dresses that I never would have picked and ended up looking amazing in. I bought a dress right off the rack since they have so many styles in actual sizes not just sample sizes. I will admit that based on prior reviewsi did not want to order a dress and I did take my dress elsewhere for alterations but the entire experience at bridaltown was so nice. I went in with no expectations and left with my dream dress at an amazing price. Ladies- get over the ugly pink decor and give the place a chance. Like other posts have stated - STAY AWAY FROM BRIDALTOWN! I had the worst experience there. Period. When I went to try on dresses, I had a woman by the name of Linda as my consultant. She was rude, seemed bored, and could barely zip up the dresses that I did try on. After a few dresses, my friend who was with me started helping me with the dresses instead. Sadly, I did find a dress and it was the worst decision I have made. It was a dress that was on the sample rack and it was really discounted. It was originally priced at $1499 and I bought it for $740.98 which included a bustle and cleaning. After I bought the dress and went for my first fitting, I was called by Linda telling me that I had to bring my dress bag down right now. I was a work and live over an hour away; needless to say, that wasn't happening. I was also very angry because she and another employee of Bridaltown told me that I could bring in my dress bag when I went to pick up my dress for good - not when it was going to the dry cleaners. Linda was informed of my anger since I was just there on Saturday for my fitting and on Monday she called. I informed her that she would have to wait to send my dress out to the cleaners because I could not bring in down that day. When I took my dress bags down (one clear under a colored bag) and my wooden hanger, I had no problems. After a few weeks, I called to see if I could pick up my dress because I was worried at this point. They lost my dress! They told me that they would call when they found it! They did find it, but I had to call them to find out! When I went down to pick up my dress, it was only in the colored dress bag and on the original plastic hanger. The owner told me that he did not know what I was talking about when I asked about the clear dress bag and my wooden hanger. After that, I left with my dress, a used clear dress bag, and without my wooden hanger. After I got home, I tried my dress on and some of the beading began to fall off.; they were supposed to tighten all the beading after it came back from being cleaned. Obviously, they could care less. Since then, I have made alterations to the dress. It is poorly made and I spent far too much money on it at Bridaltown. It was supposed to be a $1499, but it is made worse than a $149 dress. Brides Beware! Avoid Bridaltown at all costs. Heartache will ensue if you don't heed the advice. read more

BRIDES: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!! Do NOT waste one moment of your time, energy or cash at Bridaltown! This is not a review about the decor choices or the aesthetics of Bridaltown. That shouldn't matter anyway as long as there is a basic level of customer service and decency shown to those who have paid good money in exchange for your services. That does not exist at Bridaltown. I live on the west coast but wanted to buy my wedding dress in the east since that's where I'm getting married. I went to Bridaltown at the end of December when they had some kind of sale going on so I got the dress, which is made in China for them, at a slightly discounted rate that they said would only be good for that week. (Side note: while we were there, the power kept going out repeatedly. Ever try on wedding dresses in the dark?) They said the dress had to be ordered and would be in by May, which worked fine for me because I planned to be in town at the end of June for a week in order to leave plenty of time for my first alterations for my September 1st wedding. May came and went and there was no dress. My mother called every few days to see where the dress was. Nobody knew and nobody offered her help or went out of their way to take care of a customer who'd paid well over $1500 for their product. Finally, the dress arrived, four days before I was flying east. THEY HAD ORDERED THE WRONG DRESS. When my mother said, "That's not the dress," the saleswoman accused her of not knowing what the dress even looked like. It turned out our original saleswoman had wrote in the wrong dress number and apparently there's no kind of system to doublecheck the order, she just handwrote it in once and that was it. My mom asked for the owner, who, when he finally came out, yelled at her until she cried, waving around my signed receipt saying he didn't need to get her the dress until 30 weeks after ordering it. 30 weeks is 7 1/2 months, which is an absurdly long amount of time, especially when we were told when I ordered it that it would only be 5 months. But apparently it was somehow OUR fault... My sister then called the owner, William Titze, who behaved appallingly to her as well, screaming over her on the phone and refusing to EVEN APOLOGIZE for the mix-up. How is this man in the wedding business?! She finally got him to agree to send me the dress when it came in to Los Angeles where I live so I could get it altered there and then reimburse the cost to send it to Rochester, NY where I'm getting married. When I called Mr. Titze the next morning, I could barely get a word in edgewise. I'm not even saying that this man is a talker, he literally would SCREAM over my words when I tried to say anything. He NEVER apologized for the mistake on their part, he never offered to help in anyway, he never even attempted to work with me, he just yelled at me, the person who spent their hard-earned money at his horrific business, screaming that he had 30 weeks, 30 weeks, 30 weeks to get me the dress. It was as if I was the one who had written down the wrong dress and he was the one who was owed something. Then he had the nerve to say he was "disappointed" in my sister who was supposed to email him my address the night before, and how dare I have other people talk to him (like my mother and sister who were trying to protect me) because his contract is with me, the bride. As I tried to get him to verbally agree that he would get my the dress, he just shouted over me until I finally just screamed back at him, and, furious and shaking, told him his error was wasting my entire trip back to PA to get this dress and try it on. He didn't even listen, he finally was just screaming at me so loudly and so stubbornly, I hung up on him and cried. I have never been treated so callously and offensively by someone whose SERVICES I PAID FOR. When I emailed him my address and a transcript of what we "discussed" (I'm not sure how much of a discussion it could be with him yelling over my voice) he wrote back to say that he refused to reimburse me to ship the dress from LA to Rochester, like he had told my sister. After consulting with a lawyer, I decided to drop it, because this man is SICK. There is NO WAY to talk with him, no way to work with him at all, and honestly, I just couldn't get back on the phone with him. He shipped the dress USPS and it arrived not on July 28th when he said it would, but July 30th. At this point, I'd like to never think about William Titze and Bridaltown ever again, but I absolutely HATE THE THOUGHT OF ANY OTHER BRIDE GIVING THIS MAN ANY OF HER MONEY. Please please please do not support this business. They take your payment and then treat their customers like dirt. A wedding is supposed to be a happy, wonderful time of life but planning the big day is difficult enough without an unprofessional, incredibly rude and shamefully indecent business treating you so horrifyingly bad. read more

***WARNING*** - PLEASE READ REVIEW BEFORE GOING HERE!!!! My mom went here to buy her mother of the bride dress for my wedding. My mom went and found a nice dress and ordered it on Aug 15 2008. The receipt clearly states that she would receive the dress on Dec 15, 2008. Needless to say you see where this is going... She called on Dec 16, asking about it and was told to call back 1 week later as they "aren't sure of its location and we will have more information then..." Again a week passes now my mom is getting upset, and very nervous as the dress is unaccounted for. Went ahead and called again and was given the run around that we're not sure and that we need more time to find out the story. Finally I called last Friday. Went ahead and talked to the store manager, who is clueless. I said the wedding is 1 month away and you can't locate the dress what is the problem, and where is it. Manager said that I was being rude and that it will be here. I gave him until 330pm to call me with when EXACTLY it would be in. Needless to say I got a call at 430 saying he wasn't sure but would have more information in another week. I called my credit card company and disputed the charge and my mother went elsewhere. PLEASE be very careful with this company. In today's economy and economic times anybody could be going out of business at a moments notice and this activity looks suspicious to me as either they are having $ issues or their vendors are not sending them what hey ordered. I bought a dress from DB, and it just didn't fit like the gowns here. We came in on a Saturday, they saw us immediately, they helped me find the dress of my dreams and I am completely thrilled. I am going to get right to the point with these people...I am unable to get my refund back from them. I have made many attempts since July 2009 to call and constantly get a runaround either being told that someone doesn't work there anymore or that the owner is not (ever) in. I have even gone so far as to file a complaint with the better business bureau! I ordered a dress from these people and was precharged for alterations and pressing (which they even agreed should not have been done and had been advised that the sales associate who wrote me up doesn't even work there anymore). After I picked up the dress in July I asked to have those monies refunded to me and was assured that is would be done by the end of 30 days as the owner goes over refund request and such once a month. Since then I had called several times and always received a clueless sales associate that would take a message for Mr. Titze, the owner. I never once received a return phonecall. I had even called once, spoke to a woman in accounting, left my CC info for the refund, was told it would be complete by weeks end and ...nothing. That is when I filed my complaint and still nothing has resulted from that as they had the nerve to state that they issued the refund!!! I had an awful experience here. Gave them a $100.00 deposit for a dress that never arrived. Even wrote on the check - refundable deposit. After no satisfaction from the owners, I went to small claims court. I got back my $100.00 deposit PLUS the court costs. i have never had a worse customer-experience in my life than at bridaltown. like any other bride-to-be i was excited to go in and look for wedding gowns and bridesmaids dresses. we finally order bridesmaids dresses, and TWO MONTHS after they are supposedly ordered and paid for, i get a call saying that the dresses can't be made in the colors i wanted. so i would need to choose new colors. NO REFUND is going to be granted, no store credit, nothing. after DAYS of me calling relentlessly, (because NO manager in there will return a single phone call) I finally got a hold of Mr. Titze myself who talked to me for 30 seconds, put me on hold LITERALLY for 5 minutes, then transferred me back to the woman I had been arguing with all week. saying that their staff is disrespectful and rude would be an understatement. i don't even understand how they still have a business. it was APPALLING. do not buy from there. it is nothing but stress and a hastle. if you want to be stress-free planning your wedding, your prom, etc, go anywhere but bridaltown. it was truly a TERRIBLE experience. read more

Just the worst! Outside is dirty; inside is dirty. My daughter picked a dress from stock and had it altered. The staff did the worst, most amateurish job of alterations I have ever seen. They ruined the dress. I demanded to see the manager but had to make an appointment. Then he didn't show for the appiintment! Thank goodness we got our money back through our credit card company. Don't waste your time our money here. It's not worth the aggravation. PS I can't leave a rating without giving them a star. They don't deserve even that much. read more

I REALLY HATE TO EVEN GIVE THEM ONE STAR! LET ME FIRST SAY... READ THE REVIEWS! TRUST THE REVIEWS! THIS IS NOT A NICE PLACE TO DO BUSINESS! MANAGEMENT IS HORRIBLE. SEE MY PICTURES!!! So here's my story and experience: First visit 01/25/2015 My first impression of this place was not good... the buildings are very run down and falling apart. The experience was a little uncomfortable, they had me getting undress in the same room as another bride to be... and another salesperson. The inside of the building is disgusting as well (mold, dust, mildew smell, spider webs ETC.) But I tried on this dress and fell in love with it. The sample dress off the rack though had red lipstick stains on it though - gross. I ended up buying the dress there because I fell in love with the dress, not the BridalTown.. I was told it could take 4-6 months to arrive - ok. We had to pay in FULL for the dress ($949) My mother and I had to call about 30 times to get updates on my dress, got the run around from the rude receptionists in the office that automatically forwarded my call to the owner, Bill Titze (who only returned one of my calls - out of 30+!!!) They kept telling me different dates of when my dress was being shipped. Long story, short.... I got confirmation that my dress was in.. So I had to make an appointment to pick up my dress on Sunday, July 26th at 3:30pm (exactly 6 months 1 day from when I ordered it) I got there on time, they couldn't find my paperwork, then they just sent me upstairs to meet with Elsie, a woman who was about 100 years old and didn't speak a word to me. On the way up to the balcony, they had it all blocked off because it was falling apart!! There was mold growing on carpet and every wall, paint chipping everywhere. They handed me my dress to try on in a tiny dirty closet. My mother in law had to help me put it on and lace up the corset. My dress was SO wrinkled. Then I asked for a bag to put it in, they said I had to purchase one for $17.99 and they have to ORDER one. I was very unhappy about all of this. After I took the dress off, I went back downstairs to get a copy of my receipt. I also wanted to talk to the owner, Bill. I had to meet him in another building (where the bathrooms were - across the parking lot) As I greeted him and shook his hand and said Hello, he said "OH, I KNOW WHO YOU ARE! YOU HAVE QUITE THE POTTY MOUTH!" I said excuse me? I have every right to be upset with you and your service. We went back and forth and he was very rude and disrespectful to me and my family. Then he told me that I was wasting HIS TIME! I had it with him, I stormed out of there promising him I will make sure he will NOT be getting anything good out of this sale. I CAN"T get my money back but I CAN warn others! This place is going down hill. It's more than halfway there if you ask me. The place smells. The gowns are shady. My tag was ripped off but I didn't notice it until the gown was already home. They couldn't help me to find out who the dress was made by. The woman who sold it to me was gone within the same 2 weeks I purchased the dress. The alterations were terrible. My bustle was already unhitched for my first dance with my husband. My bridesmaids were trying to pin and sew it after a few minutes of it going up! The veil I picked was different than the one that came in for me. They were supposed to refund the difference but every time I called the manager was "out." I was never refunded. The mother of the bride selection is a JOKE. The fitting room was embarrassing. Luckily my mom & mother-in-law had a sense of humor as they were literally trying on dresses in a CLOSET! STAY AWAY FROM BRIDALTOWN!! I'm sure you will get a much hospitable experience anywhere else! To say that our experience with Bridaltown Boutique in Collegeville was a disappointment is an understatement. My mother, the bride-to-be, fell in love with a handful of dresses on the store website and made an after-hours reservation for a Thursday evening. (A note on hours: Bridaltown is only open 10am-5pm, so anyone hoping to visit the store after regular work hours must make an after-hours appointment.) Unfortunately that appointment coincided with the first massive snow storm of the season, and so the store called to reschedule. This is completely understandable; however, the woman on the phone was unhelpful and rude, which would set the tone for the rest of our experience with Bridaltown. She tried multiple times to persuade my mother to schedule her appointment for the weekend (during normal business hours) and then on a Wednesday night instead of Thursday night. Eventually my mother was able to reschedule for a Thursday evening two weeks after her initial appointment date. The day came and we arrived a couple minutes ahead of schedule to find the store closed. We waited until our appointment time and when no one arrived, called the number on their website. No one answered and the messaging system looped so that we weren't able to even leave a voicemail. Finally my sister got in contact with the store through Facebook messenger, only to be told that the receptionist had rescheduled my mother's appointment for November of next year. We were then told the owner lives 20 minutes away and would treat us to free pizza if we waited. Having already wasted over a half an hour trying to get in contact with them, we declined and left. Unfortunately, our experience with them wasn't yet over. As I said earlier, my mother had fallen in love with some of the dresses on their website, and so we returned to the store nearly two months later on Saturday afternoon (aka, during regular business hours). Immediately we were put off by the consultant who greeted us, Linda. Linda was at turns rude, defensive, and aggressive. She did not apologize for the Thursday mix-up, but made it seem like our fault for rescheduling. Throughout our appointment, she made multiple insensitive comments to my mother. For instance, when my mother, who is in her early fifties, said that she did not like a dress Linda suggested, the consultant replied, "Too young for you?" She also suggested my mother order her dress in a larger size. When my mother explained that she would be dieting before the wedding, Linda asked if she really thought she could lose fifteen pounds by the summer. During the fitting itself, Linda remained defensive and sullen. Rather than listening to our critiques of the dresses to suggest something in the inventory we would like, Linda brushed aside our concerns or said nothing at all. She did not close the dressing room door entirely, did not knock before entering the dressing room, and at one point unzipped my grandmother's dress (who was there for a bridesmaid fitting) in front of the glass window storefront because she was on the phone and did not want to leave her desk. None of the dresses had prices; Linda had to call to find that information, meaning that the dress my grandmother would have purchased was far above her price range. The inventory was tiny and many of the dresses my mother would have tried on were too small to do so. None of the dresses my mother had fallen in love online with were in stock. (Linda suggested purchasing the dress and assured her she could return it if she didn't like it, for store credit.) Finally, we were treated to a hard sell at the end of the fitting wherein Linda strongly encouraged my mother to buy the dress she sort of liked or else risk incurring rush shipping fees (the cost of which she then listed week by week). Bridaltown's website reads, "We strive to provide a relaxed bridal experience with the support and experience only a personal bridal consultants can offer" (grammar mistake theirs, not mine). All I can say is, you better strive harder. I can forgive the limited stock and the misscheduled Thursday evening appointment, but Linda was blatantly rude to my mother and ruined what should have been an exciting and relaxing experience. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere when shopping for bridal gowns. read more

****WARNING**** DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!!! I went to Bridaltown due to the rave reviews I read on their site, which should have been a red flag, after seeing these reviews. Firstly, they never contacted me to confirm that I would be showing up for my bridal appointment. When I arrived, I came a little earlier than my 4pm appointment, along with 4 members of my wedding party. The service was just as horrible as the place looked. When I walked in I was not greeted very friendly and the woman at the desk barely acknowledged me. She looked at me as if I did not belong their and asked me how could she help me. I stated to her that I had a bridal appointment at 4pm and she simply just told me and my guest to go and have a seat. I watched how attentive she was to the other patrons who came in the store who were not AA and there was a considerable difference in how she treated them and how she treated me. My appointment did not get started on time and Linda, who I had chosen based on her reviews was not pleased to be working with me. From across the room she asked me some information and never came over to greet myself or my guests and she spoke in somewhat of a condescending tone. She asked me my size and outright answered her own question stating that I was a size 16. She was very wrong and I was offended by her comment. When I told her my correct size which was two sizes smaller she stated " we'll see." She took us over to another part of their building where the wedding gowns were and showed me to the racks that had dresses in my size. She disappeared a few times and I was wondering if she was going to help me with the dresses. My sister ended up staying in the room with me and helping me to try on the gowns. I hated every gown that I tried on and she was not very helpful as far as describing the styles or helping the dress to fit better. I tried on 8-10 dresses in total and the last dress seemed to be what I was looking for. When I told Linda that I liked this dress and so did my wedding party she immediately perked up and offered to give me her card. She became very talkative from this point on and even came out to say a few things to my bridal party. Needless to say even though the dress was 50% off and within my budget I would not spend any money at a place that does not value my business. They get no stars in my book. I must start off my review by saying I'm very surprised to read these other reviews. I had an excellent experience at Bridal town. The building is older but they offer a great selection of dresses. I was lucky enough to have one if the owners help me with my fitting as she is not normally on the sales floor. Susan was very personable and helpful. She did not pressure me into buying my gown or veil. She was very helpful in finding me my perfect dress. I went to a couple of other bridal shops who had nowhere near the selection that Bridal town has. If your looking for an affordable dress, good selection and excellent service then this is where you need to go! read more

I went there for my wedding dress. Phyllis was the person who helped me. So sweet and helpful. Tried on a couple dresses. Found the one I wanted. She gave me all the options. Worked within my budget. Ann Marie in tailoring was amazing. I recommend this place all the time. I had been to other places. Most were just too expensive. The reason a 4 out of 5 is the outside needs work. The place looks like a dump and could use remodeling. Please don't let the exterior stop you. They are great. read more

Ladies, listen to Yelp. Don't go here. It's not just because of the hideous building, nor is it because of the dresses. It's because these people are not an honest business. Go elsewhere, like I did, and give your money to someone who does business the right way. First of all, I was charged $25 to come in for an "after-hours" appointment at 5:30 for my wedding dress. At the time I booked it, I was OK with the charge, because I thought it was a busy place where I needed some personal attention. But this is not a busy place. They should be begging people to come in "after hours" to shop. When I pulled up, the outside decor was horrible - looks like an abandoned amusemet park. The accessories in the lobby are all from the 80's - long gloves and feather pens for guest book signing. The mother of the bride dress samples look like they have been there for decades, they are so outdated. Some of the dresses, as it turns out, were actually kind of pretty. I looked through a bunch that were outdated, but I found a few I liked. I was actually starting to think that I had misjudged this place based on its decor. But then I made the mistake of asking the employee who was helping me, Linda, what brand the dresses were. After all, the price tags on the dresses I liked were $2,200-2,600, so I figured they must be reputable brands. She offered me 50% off of the dress. But the tags were removed and replaced with "Romance by Bridaltown" tags. She said that the dresses were all made exclusively for Bridaltown. THIS WAS A LIE. When I got back to my house, I googled a description of the dress I had liked at Bridaltown, and I found that it was an Allure dress. The exact same dress (and it was distinctive). I found a fantastic bridal shop in Wilmington, Delaware (Claire's Fashions) that sells Allure dresses. The same dress at that store was only about $1,000.00. Also, the sales pressure is unprofessional. I said that I wanted to come back with my mother. Linda tried to book another appointment with me right away to come back, and I told her that I was not in a rush and would call her another day to make the appointment. Her boss (I'm assuming the owner) then called up to the office where we were talking and I could hear her reassuring him that I would come back and would buy the dress, and telling him that I needed to come back with my mother. At his request, she then asked me whether I could call my mom immediately and ask her when she was available so I could book another appointment. I declined. At the time, I thought this was just an interesting experience and I was not upset. But once I realized that they lie to their customers about the brands of the dresses, and that they jack up the prices to 2.5 times the actual retail price, I was pissed. Claire's was a breath of fresh air after this place. Don't go. There are plenty of good businesses out there for you to give your money to. read more

Management, staff, building, dresses.....all of it is awful! Please stay away and buy elsewhere. Their advertised low price and huge assortment is a farce and even if it was true the terrible customer service and lack of respect for customers makes the whole ordeal of buying a prom dress or wedding dress a terrible experience. I purchased my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses 20 years ago from Bridaltown and it was a horrible disaster! Dresses arrived and they were the wrong color and the wrong dress and somehow they thought that was my fault!! "You don't remember what you ordered" they said! I can't even believe that after that I was willing to drive through the driveway again...but I did, and so sorry for that. My daughter wanted to go and see prom dresses and I agreed to go. I was shocked to see they haven't painted or weeded in over 20 years! The odor of mildew could knock you over .... but she did find a beautiful dress...it was pricey and needed repairs and some jewels replaced...she looked stunning and her smile made me melt and I agreed to put a deposit on it to hold it until she was able to save up enough money to pay for the part above and beyond my budget. Unfortunately 2 days later she found out that her boyfriend couldn't go to prom so we called and explained that we would not be purchasing the dress and asked for our deposit back. She was rudely told NO! She asked to speak to other people and the answer was still NO NO NO! I figured I could speak to them and get them to find it in their heart to help us through a tough situation. My results were the same. More NO's. I was getting married myself and had a dress that need alternations so I asked if I could apply the deposit money towards that....the answer was NO! My fiancée needed to rent a tux could we use the deposit money towards that .....the answer was NO! Not, I'm sorry I have to say no....just NO! Finally I talked to a gentlemen who was very nice. He said we would have 6 months to spend the money at the store, on a dress. So we made an appointment and went back hoping to find a simple dress she could wear for New Years or the holidays. We were told when we arrived that if we wanted to use the deposit money for another dress it would cost $30. They still tried to convince us to spend the additional $137 and keep the dress that was torn and missing jewels. Then the story changed when the manager arrived and said he couldn't find the dress and if we wanted to spend the deposit money we had to purchase another dress that cost at least the same or more than the original dress. He was just down right rude and everyone's story is different! At this point we were yelling at each other! I can't believe they are still in business for how they talk to people. Sounded just like they did 20 years ago!!! Please stay away...and tell everyone you know to do the same. Finally it arrived at 8-1/2 months and it was WRONG! 5 INCHES too long (not able to be altered!) and they tried to blame ME for their mistake! They had to order it AGAIN - and again more broken promises. It FINALLY came in TWO weeks before my wedding! I was also terrified to look here because the pink and lavender building (it looks like a creepy life-size dollhouse), and the service solidified my initial thoughts. The sales consultant only showed me five dresses, after trying on three, she declared that I would NOT find my dress there because of my price range and dismissed me. She didn't even say goodbye. I found this ironic, considering this was my fourth bridal store, and at every other location, I had my choice amongst bridal gowns. The consultant barely paid attention to my friend and I, and instead focused on a previous customer who were trying on bridesmaids dresses for fun. Unfortunately, I didn't see these reviews beforehand but for anyone that is looking for a dress....think twice about going here! They are very shady. 5 reasons why you should not shop at Bridaltown: 1.) Misleading Merchandise: I found a dress that I thought was perfect and purchased it. The sales consultant mentioned that a new order would be ordered at no additional costs. When I received the dress, it was something completely different! Apparently, they use the designer dresses as samples within the showroom for the soon to be brides to try on. They in fact order cheap dress replicas in China that are made with low quality materials. 2.) Fake sales: I was told that my dress was 50% off the original price but I guess previously customers were given the same pitch. It's not a true discount if everyone is told the same thing! 3.)Hiding information: I noticed that all of the dresses didn't have tags on. (first red flag) When I asked about the dress designers, the sales associate mentioned that the staff doesn't keep that information. 4.)Poor Staff: My sales consultant was barely there to help me find a dress. I eventually found a dress on my own and she expected me to right a good review about her! When I ordered my dress, the seamstress verified the dress size that they were going to order for me based on the size chart. When I picked up my dress, my dress size was in fact 2 dress sizes larger then what I was told. Apparently, the store manager/owner changed my order without my consent. (very shady!) 5.) Poorly maintained building: The building looks like it hasn't been painted since it was originally opened. During my visit, the heater and power were out in some of the buildings and my friends and I had to wear our outside jackets indoors during the entire visit. The previous reviews are legit so don't waste your time. If you do decide to go, make sure that they fill out all of the details on your contract before they make a copy for you.
