I'm extremely disappointed by how a serious privacy issue was handled. A private personal matter involving me was discussed outside of the salon based on third-party information that was inaccurate. I had no involvement in what was being said and no opportunity to correct it, which made the situation even more upsetting and unfair. I reached out directly to the salon and the owner to address this respectfully and provide clarity, hoping for a professional response. Despite multiple attempts, I received no reply. Ignoring a concern involving client privacy and misinformation shows a lack of accountability and professionalism. Clients should be able to trust that personal matters and conversations connected to a salon visit remain private and are not repeated or acted on without verification. That trust was broken here, and the complete lack of follow-up made the experience even more disappointing. read more

I recently visited the salon for the first time to get a balayage done. I really liked the work I saw on Jeanette's ig and she contacted me beforehand to discuss all the things about what I was looking for. Let me tell you, she understood the assignment! I've been going here for hair services for a while now. I thought coming to your salon was a nice atmosphere and the hair services were good quality but I definitely felt that it was already on the pricier side to begin with. This round of my visits was a whole different experience than it had been and I'm sorry your business seems to be experiencing some challenges but I have always cancelled my appointments in advance and been respectful of your policies. When I booked my appointment this time it was a bit much reminding me several times that I had an appointment and pushing the three day cancellation policy. Again, fine, maybe you're not having customers with the most respect on that. I was scheduled for a root touch up, partial highlight and dusting to the ends. During my service, my main stylist took another client so essentially I was left with someone in training to complete some of my services. They missed some of the coverage at the root...so not great on that front and put in a couple highlights in my hair to face frame, not a partial highlight. Then, after I went to pay for my service today, I was asked to sign three forms essentially signing away my rights not to have a card on file, etc. Also, the price was easily $100 over what I should've paid for what I received. I will say the service has definitely gone down and the price was frankly outrageous for what I had done. read more

My experience at the salon today was wonderful. Front desk staff was very friendly, salon is going through some renovations but it was still very cozy and comfortable. I was checked in quickly and my stylist Jeannette was very personable She did a quick consult of what I wanted to get done and then made some helpful recommendations. She informed me of all the costs up front so I could make my decision to get cut ,color etc. While I waited for my hair color to process, staff provided me with snacks and drinks. Jeannette provided tips on hair color maintenance and how to use leave in conditioner to prevent damage to my hair. Overall this is the best eexperience I have ever had in a salon. Don't get me wrong, my hairdresser was wonderful and gave great customer service throughout my appointment. The salon was clean and super cute, and they offered snacks and drinks to clients. The before and after hair photos were a cute added touch. All that being said, they completely gouge their clients with their "a la carte" menu prices. I swear my heart almost fell out my butt when I paid my bill - $485 (before tip!!!) for a partial balayage and trim. In total, I was not at all anticipating paying $600 for my first hair appointment postpartum - made me never want to treat myself again lol. **This was also for a newer hair stylist at the salon - you'd think her prices would be less but $485 feels like absolute insanity to me.** All in all, my hair looked great but it was so dang expensive. read more

I stumbled upon Culture ATX IG and thought that I'd visit after reviewing some of their posts. I decided on J(aka Jeannette) after researching her professional IG portfolio. Before my appointment , I emailed my inspo pic and emailed photos of my hair in its current state. J and I consulted prior to the cut and color. I have to admit that I appreciated her honesty and integrity with regard to what was best for my hair as my ultimate goal was to change it up, keep it very healthy, maintain some length while removing most if not all damaged ends. Had a big chop here... my hair reached my mid-abdomen and I cut to my shoulders. I asked for a wolf cut and it just was not giving. My bangs and layers weren't very uneven as well. Truly a wonderful salon experience! From the moment I stepped in to Culture, I knew I was going to have a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and the decor/ambiance was trendy yet inviting. I was offered coffee in an ACTUAL coffee mug (such a nice touch) and given a robe. Natalie and her assistant (forget name) were absolute gems and truly so lovely! They took time to listen to the type of color I was looking to achieve and worked collaboratively to lay every foil! From the extra care shown when brushing my wet hair after a wash, to the sweet treat (cookie) given towards the end of my service, everything was perfection!
