Just visited. My Dentist called in (not worried about that even though they didn't notify me - stuff happens). Upon arrival they say they have to see if the other doctor can even accept the same insurance. (AGAIN, no issue, I understand) Then they say I have to call Insurance set this "office" and doctor here as my "office" - even though I did that before setting an appointment. Front desk associate said I have to call insurance and tell them I chose this office again. I must look like a show dog with all these hoops they want me to jump through. I have been going on and off to Brident Dental since they were called south texas dental and out of the 3 clinics I have been to this location has been the best. Dr Nguyen does an amazing job and I love that she takes her time to perfect my dental procedures. I'm still fairly new as a patient to Brident and based on my visits and observations I give this business 4 Stars. The staff is very friendly and helpful upon entry and the dental physicians are very thorough, knowledgeable, understanding and persistent. Before bringing my 18 month old daughter it had been YEARS since I stepped foot in a dental office. But the orthodontist that saw her took great concern not just in the well-being of her teeth but mine as well and she got me to schedule an appointment to come for myself. During my second visit the orthodontist that saw me (my apologize I couldn't remember their names but they were both females) was patient with me as we discussed my dental fears, and dental history. Together we went over all the work that needed to be done, came up with a plan that I was able to work with financially and now I am getting the necessary work that needs to be done. FYI: they also have a financing company they partner with in case you're wondering. Now the reason I give them 4 stars is due to the negative observations I noticed. During my first two visits it felt as if I was in a sauna while in the waiting area, it was HOT. Secondly, they only had one tv on and it was on some infomercial channel and that's BORING!! But my biggest dislike is the appearance, I'm not sure how long it's been there or why it's there but it's definitely an eye sore appearance wise (see picture). Overall, I'm satisfied with Brident and I could see myself being there long term. FYI: I was told they were short staffed at the moment (which is why they were running behind in keeping up with appointment times) so I'm assuming that they may have job opportunities if anyone is interested... but again that's my assumption! read more

I had scheduled an appointment at 3:15 on 02/23/22 i waited for over an hour for them to see me and they never did. I had to reschedule but i'm not going back. The lobby waiting area was literally full with more than 10+ people and some even were waiting longer than myself. I feel like they just schedule people in without having space for all of them, so if you're willing to waste hours of your time waiting for them to see you by all means book with them but me, never again. read more

Made a new patient appointment and was told our 1st visit would be free. Spend 30 minutes filling out our paperwork online only to arrive and be told their system is down and we will have to do all paperwork again. Then after filling out paperwork again the front desk lady inform us the visit was $104!!! The staff was rude, un- professional and sarcastic when we asked questions! We cancelled the appointment and would rather be in pain until another dentist office can see us! I will never refer or go there again! read more

The lady that did my X-rays was very nice and professional. My problem with this place was the estimates I received even with insurance. Over $300 for "deep" cleaning, over $900 for a crown, and over $900 to remove my bottom wisdom teeth. I decided to opt out of the deep cleaning and wanted only a regular cleaning that is covered by my insurance. I was told they could not do that because that was not what the doctor recommended and I would have to pay over $300 if I wanted the cleaning that the doctor recommended. I went ahead and called a highly rated dental office just south of the border in a little medical tourist town in Mexico. My parents go there and have not had any problems with their care. The prices I received from that location are $25 to $100 for cleaning (depending on how much is needed), $770 for a crown, and $100 to $300 for each wisdoms tooth (depending on the difficulty). So I will be going there instead. Brident did offer a payment plan/credit card, which I hate since I don't finance anything other that a car or a mortgage, I wish they would had offered me a cash discount but instead they did not offer to work with me. I would had gladly payed cash if they would offer a cash discount. Overall I feel that payment plans are predatory and catered to lower income people. If I go to a dentist in the states I will avoid these corporate dental locations and I will instead find an independent dentist to work with as I feel that these corporate dental places don't really care about patients but sure do want to make a profit. read more

This should have been a 5 stars. No doubt. I'll explain as briefly as possible. I been going with them for the last 3-4 years. I walk in there and there's a delay of around 45 minutes because there is a child that would not let her mouth be touched, at all. The staff did their outmost service care and all. And I honestly cannot blame them or take stars off for that because they did the most until the family was satisfied and taken care of properly. Anyway, this is my story as far as treatment went on for me: once I walked in to get my x-rays the tech apologized for the wait and took care of me very professionally and promptly, then I was taken to the back, sat down, shown all the sterilized material they will work with and opened it in front of me (this is one of the reasons I keep going back, I believe they are very hygienic and is front and center in their modus operandi).then the doctor took a look at my history, checked a couple of things and asked if I had any questions. Loved her hands and care towards me. She explained every detail on me in a great manner. Once we were done with that, the front desk ladies had to work on my file for insurance purposes, explained my options and costs. Then here comes the cleaning (this is the part that gets you guys 2 stars). The same doctor came back and started to clean my teeth with great detail and care, then she makes me aware that the assistant will finish up. I thank her and she left. The assistant's name is Kacy ( I had to ask her because she had no badge on). Well, the assistant was slow (borderline lazy, she had problems hooking up the attachments to the hoses, asks me to hold one of them, I did thinking it would be momentarily, it became my duty to suction my mouth for the rest of the visit, I had always been in a one person on me and I didn't have to suction myself (not that I mind, but this is part of the whole picture and reason I'm leaving a two star review) The last straw was when after she took so long to get herself set up for this, she seriously sucked at putting the paste on my teeth right, she didn't start in any pattern and she was really just touching here and there, I felt as if she was new so maybe, just maybe is her first day. Then the flouride came, she brushed a bit on the outside facing part of my side teeth,my front teeth and a bit here and there. I do not want to risk getting cavities so I made her aware that she misses the whole lower front of my teeth. THIS IS WHERE SHE SAYS "ohh yeah the thing is gonna come down by itself" that's where I realized that she was doing this halfa** job on purpose, and hoping for gravity to finish the job. Since I was ready to leave, she obviously did not want to do her job and I was really just trying to get out of there I just asked her to put flouride on top of my teeth and leave it at that. Under different circumstances and with more time on my hands I would have managed differently. All in all is a really good experience, just retrain that assistant or find one that is eager to get it done right. read more

The kids had not eaten since they were going to have procedures done. They told us they were running behind 1 hour . 2 hours and 57 minutes later we were still waiting to be seen. When we asked the receptionist what was the hold up she asked me to wait walked off to the back to " check" then left to lunch asking her co workers to clock her out Lost a whole day of work . Didn't get seen cause it was getting late . I am extremely dissatisfied with the front office and how they handle things . On top of that they didn't inform me of additional costs I would incur for the procedures that still haven't been done . Tried to change locations and haven't gotten a resolution yet. They sent me documents that I asked for in July yesterday and they are on one thing I had done in 2019 which has nothing do with now. Several times we have had appointments at this location on a Saturday. The first they rescheduled because they were running so far behind. So they set us up for the first appointment at 0800. We get here on time check in and have been waiting over an hour!!! Seems to be the common practice. Staff is clueless when you ask why? Supposedly it's because new patients go to the back and current to the front? Makes no sense why have or schedule appointments!!! Disappointed: I had my first appointment. When I walked in the staff greeted me professionally and friendly. The x-ray technician was very professional and explained the process. After that is when I felt invisible. I was told of the dental recommendations; deep cleaning, some fillings and bottoms dentures. When I asked about a consultation for dental implants. I wasn't heard or ignored. I asked again about implants. I was told that the implant specialist wasn't going to be in until Jul 23. I asked could I schedule an appoint to see the specialist. I was told to ask the receptionist at the front to schedule it. I was asked if I wanted to have the cleaning done. My question is: Why would they recommend the deep cleaning, fillings, and dentures if my desires were heard. If there is a possibility of having implants done, there is no need to clean and fill teeth that are going to be removed. read more

The doctor came and did exam and told me her recommendations and she was supposed to return to clean my teeth and she went to lunch. Bad service, Show up for appointments only to be turned away saying you not on the schedule....Multiple Times. Only one dentist on staff and no hygienist so if your going in for a cleaning your appointment vanishes because the dentist does not want to do them. Manger is a joke and states there is no one to call and complain or report to yet when you get upset she is own the phone with her regional manager saying she's going to call the cops because I wouldn't leave until someone could explain where their disconnect is. Will never go back.... Was supposed to receive a 500 dollar refund charged to my credit card and still not there after 3 weeks. Really disappointed with todays visit. First i called early to see if i could be seen earlier. Receptionist answers with oh no sorry we havent receive your fax for your benefits So I follow by asking why was this not done yesterday she replies its our policy to verify a day before so I told her exactly which was yesterday so i ask her what if you dont get the fax by the time my appointment comes around she plain told me we will reschedule. I show up everything goes well Doctor did the exam on my sister its time for her prophy(cleaning) and the assistant comes in with a rude face started the cleaning at the end of the cleaning its time to rinse her mouth but she does not have a suction she dare to open drawer and get one out with her infected gloves wondering in my head if this has been done before with another patient and now my sisters mouth has somebody elses germs never going here again!!!!! read more

Brident Dental! LOL, Where do START. I had the WORST EXPERIENCE THERE. Management is really REALLY slow. The manage to mess with your head as you pay for that $1000 toothbrush that breaks down in matter of months. They change assistant and doctors within months. We are still waiting for a refund. My husband took my daughter in for 6 month cleaning. It should have been billed to the insurance which is in network. They found two small cavities and told my husband that our insurance didn't cover anything so he paid them $360 and made arrangements to make another payment before they did the work. When he told me what they said I called my insurance and they called Brident and said Brident said they would refund the money---someone was going to call me back. Never got a call so I went in. The office manager said they had a right to charge for the work done. I explained they haven't filled any teeth. Just a routine cleaning & x-rays covered by insurance. He said someone would look into it and call me. It has been months, I still haven't been called or received a refund.
