I used to always shop at this Kroger location so how did I miss it? This was my first time at MINT. Their office is really nice. I love the modern decor. The young ladies at the front desk were very friendly. One of them handed me an iPad so I could easily fill out the required paperwork for new patients. When they called me back, the first thing they did was take x-rays. It was quick and easy. Next, we went to a room for more x-rays. And then the dental assistant did a mold of my teeth for the free whitening tray new patients receive. Nice bonus! Then the dental hygienist came in to do my cleaning. It was rough. I'm not going to lie. She warned me it would be uncomfortable and she was right. But it wasn't her fault at all. It was my fault for letting the tartar build up so much. Next time I'll be back in six months so it won't be so bad. I'm sure most people don't look forward to going to the dentist. I know I was kind of dreading it since it's been a long time. But everyone was friendly and they put me at ease. I like how they let you listen to Pandora or watch Netflix. But it was hard to watch my movie while they were in my mouth! Overall, this was a very positive experience. I plan on returning in December. My appointment has already been scheduled!

She ripped down between 2 of my teeth on the top row in front. When she was cleaning them, she split the bottom edge of my tooth. Not long after the visit I began eating. The tooth edge where she split it chipped off. I now have a chip located on the outer bottom edge of the tooth. Also, last year this same dental hygienist chipped off one of my lower front teeth in the back with a dental probe while also cleaning my teeth. This now causes me distress, because I can feel the tooth damage every time I run my tongue against my teeth. I won't be coming back again to Castle Dental on Fairmont parkway. Castle Dental has a good dentist Dr. Craig Mclure at this location, but not a good dental hygienist. I will be going somewhere else to have my teeth cleaned. Even if it means finding a new dentist somewhere else, I refuse to let that same dental hygienist clean my teeth.

I sure hope you started reading the lowest rated reviews on here first. Please avoid this place at…read moreall costs. The intake staff are very sweet and really know how to reel you in. They try to get everyone to do Invisalign but if you're going that route you may as well go to a pop up or online company for that because you get the same product and service. My child kept losing his aligners so we switched to traditional braces and they were very accommodating with my request. We had more trouble with the braces than I've ever experienced. He was the first patient to do this new type of procedure where they take a mold of his teeth, make the braces according to the mold, and then apply them using a mold so it's quick and easy. It was anything but that. There was even a sales rep there overseeing the process and so many employees kept coming over to take a look and a couple of different techs had to glove up to get the job done. After it was finished he had brackets pop off the same day and other times the next couple of months. Then this happened... It proved to be the biggest mistake of my life and I feel so bad for my kid. His regular dentist and a periodontist both said he needed a gum graft from the braces moving his bottom teeth so much that the roots were exposed. He had to undergo surgery using cadaver tissue to repair the missing gums and 4 months later it's proven to be a waste since the teeth have moved so much. He will need another graft soon. He also started treatment in September 2022 with no gap in his front teeth and he now has a 3/8" gap!!!!! I tried ceasing treatment in September 2023 but was talked out of it. I called two days ago asking to have them removed and they couldn't schedule us until January 24, two months from now. I took him in the same day because we needed the teeth to stop moving and they told me they couldn't remove them. I told them that was fine but at least remove the wires so the teeth stop moving. It took about 30 minutes for them to finally agree to do what I asked. They tried talking me out of it again and had to confer with the intake person that it was ok to do it. Then they had to "advise" me that the teeth may go back to their original position. I said that would be amazing because I never had to deal with exposed roots! Also, the intake/sales person tried to tell me that gum tissue regenerates on the teeth that move. That's not true. I was supposed to receive a call today too to settle and schedule the bracket removal but that didn't happen. I referred two of my colleagues there and they also had numerous problems and ceased treatment. If there's anything you take away from these reviews I hope it's to choose a legit orthodontist and avoid these quick service providers.

(AGAIN, no issue, I understand) Then they say I have to call Insurance set this "office" and doctor here as my "office" - even though I did that before setting an appointment.
