Be prepared to wait hours in the office, only to be told they scheduled your appointment incorrectly and you'd have to come back the next day, then leave reeking of the pot scent that permeates from their waiting room/office area, and when they call you that afternoon to confirm the appointment for the next day (the one they errored on) they are rude when you tell them you cannot take 2 days off of work in a row. We drove 47 miles one way to get to an appointment.  When we arrived, the office was closed.  No one from your organization called to cancel the appointment.  I called your corporate headquarters and they rescheduled our appointment.  I called the local office the next week to discuss what happened and express other concerns. The manager had a rude and defensive tone from the beginning.  When we discussed the new appointment that corporate headquarters made, she informed me that they do not work during those times.  The appointments were made by corporate for 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m on a weekday.  The office website states that they are open until 6:00 p.m. on weekdays, as do the advertisements on the window. This is a bait and switch. The manager also told me that I had to contact the local office to make appointments, which I have never had to do before.  I told her I would be happy to do that, but I seldom have anyone answer the phone. She told me that I had no idea what was going on behind the scenes. She said they only had two staff members because they had a complete turnover. I also relayed to the manager that in previous appointments, I had been allowed back with both children for treatment.  I was informed that I would no longer be allowed in the treatment room because of HIPPA laws regarding office layout.  If it is against HIPPA laws, then what about patients overhearing what is going on in another's treatment area? At the most recent appointment, my daughter was very uncomfortable when she walked into the treatment room without me and was presented with a new male doctor that none of us were informed about. I also expressed another concern that at the children's most recent appointment, the technicians informed them that they were now going to be charged for broken brackets.  The way they delivered that information made them feel uncomfortable.  I expressed my concern because information like that should be shared with the financially responsible parent and not a minor child.  During that same appointment one technician asked the other if they were performing the treatment correctly or not, which made my son uncomfortable.  The reply I received from the office manager was that we "needed to communicate like two women and figure this out."  I found this reply to be very offensive and unprofessional, as I never raised my voice or used any inappropriate language at any time during this conversation.     I told the manager that I wasn't looking for rudeness and excuses, but for a remedy and an apology for the missed appointment and my other concerns. To which she curtly replied that she was looking for sympathy and empathy.  When I expressed my displeasure at her tone, the manager told me that she had other customers, so losing us wouldn't really matter all that much. As a customer, I was wronged in this situation.  The moment I called this office, I was made to feel like I was the one that was wrong. When I told her that the way I was being treated was wrong, she told me, "Well, I won't be disrespected by no customer." She went on to say, "You're being so....I don't know what the word is."  I was being professional, firm, and correct.  A customer is well within their rights to complain when service is not acceptable. This manager dismissed every concern with an excuse and a "Well, that's just the way it is, deal with it!" attitude. At the end of our conversation I told the office manager that the way we were being treated was not good business practice.  She replied, "This is a corporation and not a private practice.  You let me worry about the business."  That is an unacceptable response and reflection of an unfortunate corporate culture. Since I do not live in Waco, I have called them everyday throughout the day for two weeks in order to get a refund for remaining treatment and our records sent to another doctor. My very next call will be to my attorney. My children are too uncomfortable to return to this office. They've lost trust in the providers, as have I. We will not be back. read more

I've been coming to this place for about 2 years. Mostly for cleaning but a couple months ago I had to have a tooth removed. I was charged 3,000. I started making payments and it took 2 months to get an itemized statement after continually calling until it was sent. I had 1,000 remaining on my balance and magically it disappeared. After looking at my itemized statement it said I owed -900. Thank God after calling multiple times i was able to get that money back. I highly recommend you find another place to go. read more

I made an appointment for my son. When we showed up after taking off work and school they told us they weren't ready for us amd we had to reschedule. They claimed their answering service had no idea what was going on in their office here (even though the number I called to make appointment was my area code 254 AND the only one on their google website. Why is this the customers responsibility to know their job or fix their problems. Im out time, school, gas, money for nothing now, but to make it worse they are still getting their hourly wage for no training, resolution, or customer service. My 80 yo mother has Parkinson's disease. She went to Brident in January of 2020 to have an upper plate made. They told her 2-3 week. Four weeks later they called to tell her to come get fitted. The soonest they could see her was 2 week out. We went to this appointment and were told they didn't have her teeth. They would call us when they were in (again). In late February they called again to say they had her teeth, but the soonest she could come in to be fitted was March 25. We go to the facility on March 25 to find it closed due to Covid19. In May, when everything started opening back up, we called the 800 number to make an appointment. After being on hold for over an hour, I was able to get an appointment for May 25, yes they said they would be open on Memorial day. We got to the facility on May 25, and they were closed. Back to the 800 number, I called and again was on hold for 1:13 minutes by Oceen. I finally hung up and called again and Oceen answered again. I was put on hold again, this time I hung up after 40 minutes. Not wanting to give up, I called a third time, the lady put me on hold for 20 minutes, came back on and was able to get an appointment for 10 am on June 3rd. We get there at 10, she is screened for covid19. I asked if I could go back with her and was told that the rooms were set up in a way that didn't accommodate for another person. They told us that her actual appointment wasn't until 10:30. At 10:45 they finally called her back. While I waited, a man and his 17 yo daughter came in and he asked if he could go back with his minor child. He was told yes, he could. When I asked why he could go back, but I couldn't, the girl behind the counter was real quick to explain the Covid protocol and she would refuse my mother service if I didn't like it. I strongly recommend not choosing Brident Dental. Can't see how anywhere else could be worse than this place. read more

I went to this dental practice when my company's insurance changed. It was different than any other dentist experience I've ever had. 1. The dentist told me I had "more than 10 cavities" that he wanted to fill. I've never had more than one cavity at a time. 2. I was not given a cleaning. They just x-rayed me and wanted to start drilling and filling cavities. Needless to say, I left without my fillings or a cleaning. I went back to regular dentist, but didn't tell him about my Brident "diagnosis". He said I didn't have ANY cavities. Basically, Marivel told me that I could not get the x-rays that I needed until the orthodontist signed off on it. When I called on Aug 12th they told me that they would send me the x-rays by the end of the day. Now, why was I told that, and then the office manager said another thing? When she did she told me I needed cleaning, gums flushed, fillings, and wisdom teeth out for a flat $2,400 without even looking at my insurance. I had originally called my insurance and was told I had full coverage on cleaning/fillings and when I got there they told me my cleaning would be $150 AFTER insurance. My Medicaid Transportation ride picked me up at 8 am instead of 930 am. Then, I got to Brident Dental, in Waco, at 10 am for an 11 appointment. I didn't get to go back to see the dentist til 1145 am. My Medicaid ride home came and went twice. So, now I have to wait to get fit in for a ride home. This will be another wait of 1-2 hours. I'm not impressed with anyone today. This is not normal. After taking an X-ray that showed that my wisdom teeth were growing towards the front of my mouth, they tried selling me a tooth replacement for one of my front teeth and never mentioned that there was an issue with my wisdom teeth. I had to look at the X-ray myself to find out. I went to Scott & White Hospital for a second opinion, and they said that the needed to be removed as soon as possible. They were already pushing the other teeth forward. They are greedy and will risk your health and your smile to maximize profits. read more

I went for a check up ended up paying double than a non insurance client. Felt like cattle being brought in and out, could not understand the denist due to his accent. Was told I needed to get my wisdom teeth removed by a oral surgeon. Paid 900$ with insurance for a deep cleaning(don't really know what was done) would not help reduce cost in any way. Almost a year later I called back to get the refural to an oral surgeon , 3 phone calls later (different days) due to them not answering the phone, was given a fax number of a surgeon that I had beg for because i dud not know any oral surgeons. Called back today to get the xray sent to the oral surgeon I found ,almost an hour later after being transfered 3 times from California to texas I got the person that helped me as well as she could (not waco office because they never picked up) after talking with her wanted to talk to whoever I could file a complaint to and got a voice mail. Still no xray sent. Even went to office .. noone there. Don't go here if you want to get good customer service. Also the denist that worked on me had already left before my follow up date. Bad service. I can't find how to reply to the commit from the customer care. I'm glad to see someone in this company is in top of replying. Still no contact from the main office to follow up my call or from the office in waco. If I could give less than one star I would. This was literally the worst dental experience I have ever had. It started with the phone call to schedule the appointment. This office won't schedule new patients so they send them to the corporate line. I was told by the person I would not be needing an x-ray since I am 25 weeks pregnant. He said 12 weeks 3 times which I wasn't surprised about since it sounded like there was a raging party going on in the background. I told him my insurance which he for whatever reason put me down as self pay. I go to the office on Monday. They proceed to tell me that no patient is seen with out an x-ray and I need to call my doctor right there in order for me to be seen. Every time I have been to an office that needs to speak with my doctor they call them and get what is needed. Obviously this girl was not willing to do that. Since my insurance was not in the system she needed to call them. I waited for over 30 mins to be taken back to get my x-rays. I was speaking with the x-ray tech and she informed me that multiple people had been in recently being told they didn't need x-rays when they did. I was then moved to a "room" which is an open floor plan office. I over heard the patients before me. They were covered under dual dental insurance and still needed to pay $250 a person out of pocket. I waited there for a least 45 mins. Then the doctor came up. He started his exam. During the exam process he told me that I would need a "total clean" which from my understanding is a more in depth cleaning than the routine cleaning covered under my insurance. I said "I will not pay anything out of pocket today can I just get a normal cleaning." He stated "I don't do that." I said "You don't do that? A normal cleaning?" He said "No." I said ok well my insurance only covers a routine cleaning so lets stop this exam now. He said "No, let me finish my exam." Putting his tools back in my mouth. He poked and prodded and made me bleed till the point were I needed gauze. After he finished my exam he sent the girl away to price my mouth and he finally went over the x-rays I didn't want or apparently need. I then waited another 20 mins and she returned with a $1,200 price quote which included what my insurance covered. By the time I left there I had spent for two hours and had such a terrible experience by the time I got to my car I was crying out of frustration. To top it all off I woke up this morning with a cold sore on the right side of my mouth. I have never had a cold sore before. Please stay away from these people!! read more

It was my daughter's 1st appointment ever. We had an extremely pleasant time being patient here at this location.. They are very compassionate and are willing to go the extra mile for everyone! I love the way Mabree handled my daughter , she made sure all her needs are met and was delicate in handling the little one. If I could give this place less than one star I would. I scheduled an appointment with Brident for a regular cleaning. A regular cleaning is what my health insurance covers and since I am pregnant it is all I am able to do (unless it is a medical emergency). The dentist that I was scheduled to see already knew this information, as she was the one who requested a medical note from me doctor. Furthermore, knowing I am pregnant she requested for me to have x-rays done before she worked on my teeth. After waiting for an hour and a half after my scheduled appointment ( I was on time), very nonchalantly I overheard the dentist tell one of the receptionist to reschedule me and my boyfriend (which also went through the same ordeal) for the next day. As you may imagine at this point I am furious. Shy of 8 months pregnant and having wasted all morning waiting to be seen is unacceptable and unethical. After I expressed my frustration to the temporary manager on site, the dentist (Karan Y) agreed to see me. Karan Y said to me that I would l get a cleaning after she takes pictures of my teeth (which is why I agreed to wait once again). Another 20 minutes wasted as she then stated I need a deep cleaning and she would not be able to do so. There is a problem with the organization at this office and a lack of human decency is evident. TO BE CLEAR the receptionists at the front desk are all very helpful and NOT to blame, as they are simply following orders from the dentists at this place. It seems that the dentists that work here like to take x-rays and keep their chairs occupied even though they can not attend to them...probably to bill insurance companies. So far my daughters appointment was scheduled for 8 am. We are currently waiting on the dentist to get here. Fill out a mountain of paperwork and even a debt arbitration paperwork all of this before your even to see the dentist. Then we're told she won't get a cleaning today because their looking for problems first. Really!! Then they finally called her back for x rays and that is when we are told that they are going to take 10 X-rays and one panoramic x ray. I questioned why so many X-rays and they could not give me an answer for it. Then she made the comment you have not paid the co pay yet and I told her the front desk told me to wait till the appointment was over then they could charge everything at one time. I asked for explanation of benefits of what our plan would cover and I was told they could not answer that but there was a co pay for each individual thing they did. MY BILL WAS IN THE 400 BUT WAS CHANGED LAST MINUTE BECAUSE THEY HAD TO ADD A FAKE BONE AND DID NOT EVEN TELL ME WHEN THEY HAD MY XRAYS FOR A MONTH AT LEAST IT WAS THAT EXACT DAY THEY TOLD ME THEYLL BE ADDING 1,000 TO MY PAYMENT!! So I'm in the Military and we just move to Waco on orders. My wife makes two appointment for her and my son for cleanings. First, they told her to fill the paperwork in Spanish because they heard her talk Spanish to my son. Well, we're bilingual, and she wasn't surprised because there's a lot of non English speaking people in the area. So cool... BTW, I'm not going into full details, I don't have time for all that, but I think it's important that the community knows at least a little. A few more things that what I'm about to write happen today but the main problem was... When the doctor was explaining my wife of the procedures she had to do on her, she started asking "comprende?" to her like they weren't speaking the same language and like if she didn't understand. This is the epitome of unprofessionalism and it made her feel like crap. We've been all around the world and something like this has never happened. Not even in Europe or Asia. I am not saying everyone in that office is like this, but the fact that this happened tells a lot. Very disappointed and will never return. read more

I will never go to Brident Dental again. I had an emergency appointment to have a wisdom tooth removed that had cracked and was causing me pain. I figured while I was there that I wanted my teeth cleaned as well. When I showed up for my appointment which was supposed to be for the extraction, they ended up cleaning my teeth first, then told me I would have to come back in 1 month to have my wisdom tooth extracted. I don't even have words for how irritated I was. I scheduled an appointment for a emergency tooth extraction and if possible a teeth cleaning, but I wanted the tooth that was hurting gone ASAP - not in a month. That's not even the worst of my experience here. I paid cash for the cleaning and they billed my debit card as well. Yes, that means I was billed twice for the same service when I explicitly told them to not charge my card. I have been patient for two weeks with their corporate office and the physical location to rectify this situation. I just want the money back on my debit card as I already paid cash. I was told it will be 6-8 weeks to get my money back for their mistake. This is unacceptable. If you want to do business with a company that will double charge you and then ignore you like the problem is not there, then go to Brident Dental. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and possibly a lawyer. DON'T GO TO BRIDENT DENTAL! read more

The dentists and dental assistance were ok, although I think they missed a deep front cavity that they should have found sooner since I go regularly every few months. I'm very disappointed and frustrated though with there incompetence in figuring out how much I owe them. The last time I went, they told me I owed an additional 30 I and would be getting a bill in the mail. Instead I got a bill for an additional 300. I had extensive work done including a crown and a cavity and they gave me a quote for what I owed after insurance. I paid them but they were 300 off.
