He continues to stare me down rudely and explain he does not have an appointment for me. I call my mom and she tells me it is the wrong location, not the man's fault but a simple "I'm sorry, I'm not seeing an appointment for you" instead of upfront rudeness would have been nice. The place I used last year - no longer does it, the place I used the year before - no longer does it. I had to search & make a few phone calls before I found a place. Quick and efficient, the state does not seem to pay facilities to do these emissions testing enough for them to continue from year to year. It pretty much brings folks to establishments, which in turn, brings awareness of the business. My vehicle is not that old, still under warranty. I would love to support this shop, once I don't have warranty coverage. Next time I need emissions they probably won't be doing it. Our state needs to support the effort better.

I found Rick's Car Care on Yelp and saw they were listed as open until noon. When I arrived, there was a sign on the door saying they were actually closed on Saturdays. I decided to knock anyway, and I'm so glad I did! To my surprise, a gentleman named Jimmi answered the door. After I explained the situation, he graciously offered to take a look at my tire, despite being closed for the day. He quickly assessed the damage and was able to fix it with a simple plug. Not only did Jimmi go out of his way to help me, but he also treated me fairly and didn't try to overcharge me just because I was from out of town.
