I absolutely trust Brett and his mechanics to work on my F150 truck. I have used him several times in the short time I have been back in Milwaukee, based upon a neighbor's recommendation (my postman) as well as recommended him to several others. He has fixed my 2015 truck, that I'm very attached to, given advice on it, done extensive troubleshooting and found a problem instead of charged me 5K. This guy is VERY honest, I just don't feel I have to worry about my truck being there. I can save your life, but fix a simple issue on a vehicle? Nah... it flips me out. Right now, his mechanic has my truck "limping along" so I'm not stuck without, til the crunch man- whom I trust because Brett referred me- can fix it. Brought my car in for a tire rotation and to have them install 2 tires i bought.. i must say i am disappointed with the charge amount. I'd say overpriced. Over an hour work charged for labor just for 2 tires i wouldn't want to find out how much if i had all 4 done. I'd definitely go somewhere else for simpler work to get done. The shop is professional, competitive and transparent in price and work needed. After two visits for work I've been putting off for years, my car is running smoothly again. It's easy to book an appointment, and work was done in one day. I could tell from the short time I was waiting for my ride after drop off, that regulars love Brett's, too. I received a phone call when work was completed, and employees are respectful and seem cheery. The only way Brett's could get any better is to be open on Saturdays (which they're not), but maybe that's why the workers are also cheery- they work hard M-F, and enjoy their weekends. Do not trust these guys with your Honda, they don't know what they're doing, will sell you cheap spark plugs instead of good ones recommended by Honda. They did not complete work for me and sent me on my way to have a Honda dealer complete the job. Would not refund my money paid for shoddy workmanship. Owner went ape in his front office when I politely showed him my bill with documentation from Russ Darrow Honda, for work they should have completed but didn't. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! We took our BMW here for routine maintenance and they tripped a tire sensor and would not fix their mistake to make it right. We now have to go to another shop and pay to correct the mistake they created by working on our vehicle. I have confirmed my original post with another reputable BMW certified shop. By removing the tires, this shop did indeed trip sensors. They had to be reset at a cost to us over $200. read more

It is a sigh of relief to find a reliable auto repair place in your neighborhood and Brett's is hands down that repair shop. I was heading to work when I found one of my tires completely flat and what could have turned out to be a crappy day ended much less stressful because of the great customer service and speed of repair that these guys did! They were clear in communicating the repairs, shared their knowledge but let me choose the price level of repair and I never felt for a second I was being misled or confused about what was happening to my car. Extra credit to All Star Towing who they use for towing also for making a not great experience into a much better one. It was last year I had my car towed in to replace my alternator. I asked them to check my tire that had a thick screw in it. I got my car and paid a normal price for my alternator and because of their honest ways I didn't have to pay for another tire. They just took the thick screw out and said it didn't puncture through it just looked like it I totally appreciated their honesty. I feel any other garage woulda took advantage of the situation. Awesome place. It's close to my work place and my friend recommended me to go here. Brett is professional and explained everything well to me and update me during the time he's fixing and finding other problems. He knows his customers well and all of them know him too. It's busy here. They did a great job with my old car. It used to make so much noises and more as years go by. They wielded the exhaust and changed my tires. When I drove my car I was so surprised how quiet it was. I don't remember the last time it's being this quiet. I went to two other auto places and they never pointed it out and another said they don't have the tools to wield it. I trust Brett with any car. I recently brought in my vehicle for an oil change and a tire quote. I was informed that the rear brakes were REALLY BAD. I had the brakes replaced. When I picked up my car I asked to see the parts that had been replaced. I was told he had thrown them out. When I purchased my tires elsewhere I was told that seeing as my car only had 34,000 miles on it the rear brakes were undoubtedly not in need of replacement and that I had been "taken to the cleaners." So I suggest you shop elsewhere. read more

We've been going here for years (prior to them moving to the new location). GREAT business. This is one of those repair places where you know they are going to be upfront and honest and not do unnecessary repairs. We've actually had them talk us out of expensive repairs. The first time we went we had gotten an estimate from another place for some work that was over $300. Brett was able to come up with another solution that cost us about $30. Brett's is way out of the way for us but we've found it's worth the drive. A couple of times we've been lazy and tried somewhere closer to where we live and we've regretted it every time.
