A nice relaxing old school type of craft brewery with a cozy tap room and an outdoor patio that has about 4 or 5 tables. They have a good variety of beers on top, each beer I had in my flight tasted great. Stopped in at this sweet little brewery with my date last weekend on a hot Vancouver day. A pint of their delicious kolsch was the perfect antidote to a sticky summer afternoon spent doing all the things in the city. My date and I enjoyed our beers on their small outdoor patio, and it was the perfect place for a few cool sips before heading back into the city for some dinner. One thing I really like about their beers is just how cold they are! My kolsch seemed a few degrees cooler than your average pour, which made it taste just that much better. I look forward to heading back to Bridge next time we're in North Van. read more

We've been coming to Bridge since it was a nano brewery. Bridge has consistently good beer and tasty tacos, and, when, they keep them, good staff. There is an extremely high turnover and I'm not sure why. This is a red flag. Also, the merchandise is tired and needs an update. Unlike many breweries, Bridge does little to nothing to foster community. Lastly, the headache inducing air freshener used in the bathroom permeates the establishment. Bridge should be awesome but the ownership appears to have become complacent and more interested in expansion. read more

Haven't been to any of the breweries in North Van so after a pit stop for ice cream, we headed over to Bridge Brewing Company. They're located in a random industrial area. We dropped in on a Saturday evening (around 6:00pm) and the place was packed. Both the patio and bar were busy. They have the cheapest glassware I've seen at a brewery. Debated to get one of their IPA cups. They were only $5.00! Lots of other merchandise including hats, sweatpants and more. There was about 10 beers on tap to choose from; majority of them were IPA's. For the non-beer fans, they have cider, kombucha and ginger beer options. Their snacks looked delicious, especially the cheese. They also have tacos (3 for $12.00). - Flight ($6.00) - one of the cheapest flights I've come across. We went with the wunderbar kolsch, bourbon blood orange wheat ale, chocolate coconut milkshake IPA and Uganda sipi coffee. My favourite was surprisingly the coffee (using beans from Moja Coffee); smooth, coffee aromas. We've had the bourbon blood orange before but this lacked flavour. Kolsch was unremarkable and generic. For non-IPA fans, the Boys to the Yard was respectable. It's a chill spot to grab a few brews but the beers themselves are of the commercial, mainstream variety. read more

On Valentine's Day, before going for cocktails at Sons of Vancouver, we stopped off at Bridge Brewing Company for a bite to eat. (SOV may have a few snacks on offer, but they don't have a kitchen, or the staff, to serve proper food -- so if you want something to eat at SOV, you'll be out of luck.) While the seating area was small, there were a few high-top tables, and we had no problem finding seating -- in fact, we were able to get a small table all to ourselves, despite the small space. Their specialty are tacos, three for $12 (or three for $10 during happy hour), and they also have various bar offerings available, such as chips and salsa, pretzel sticks, and the delicious, keto-friendly Buffalo chicken dip. Being a brewery, of course they only serve beer (I assume), and as a non-beer drinker, I just stuck to water (besides, I was going for cocktails after at Sons of Vancouver), but both my husband and friend ordered small flights. As I don't like beer, I can't recommend this place for drinks (this is not a comment on the quality of their beer -- I just don't like beer), but it's a decent place if you're in the area and want to grab a quick bite. This place is tiny and tucked away in the middle of nowhere, but it's quite the happening place. Parking is available in the lot in front of the building (a few spots), as well as on the street. The patio faces S, so during the summer ones one will get plenty of UV radiation. Personally I preferred the inside, but there aren't very many spots in there. It got pretty packed. There's also a kitchen in the back that was making tacos the day we showed up. The staff looked like they were actually preparing for a catered event. The flights are among the more original designs. I wasn't sure how one could make the carrier bridge-themed, but they managed to do so here with a piece of wood and an eye bolt. Pretty funky I must say. The one beer that stuck out for me was the Bourbon blood orange. Blood orange anything is good, so it would've been surprising if this beer wasn't. If I were to go for beer in this area, it would be a toss-up between this place, Hearthstone, and Deep Cove. Recommended. read more

I'm a 4.5. The beer was good. A flight for 7 bucks is insanely cheap. I got the Bourbon Blood Orange Wheat Ale, Side Cut North East IPA, Side Kick North East Session Ale, and the Pie is the Limit, a blueberry pie sour. I usually don't really like wheat ales but this one was wonderful and surprisingly hoppy. The session ale was also floral, herbal, and a whopping 7.5% abv for a session ale, but tasted light and refreshing! Food was solid too. Pulled pork had a nice smoky taste. Tacos were close to as good as they could get this far up north. Flour tortillas looked not store bought, which is rare around here. I'm a total meat eater but surprisingly, the veggie tacos were the best. I ended up getting round 2 for tacos. Staff was friendly. It was one guy working and was fine. Covid-19 considerations looked good enough too - hand sanitizer in a couple of spots, staff wearing masks, staff sterilizing table tops between customer changes, plastic barriers between some seating areas, and signs stressing social distancing. The outdoor patio area was very nice. Definitely coming here again. read more

I'm between 3 and 4 stars. Came here on a rainy afternoon around 6 after going to Lynn canyon park. The interior is small, so it was pretty crowded inside, but there is outdoor space. I ordered a pale ale and my boyfriend ordered an IPA. I would rate them a 3.5/5-beers are better than ones you buy at a grocery store but not as good as IPAs I've had in Seattle, Portland, Bay Area. read more

5 stars can't accurately describe how much I love Bridge Brewing. I love hitting craft breweries on my travels, and have come across alot of them I love for different reasons over the years. I would estimate I have hit in the neighborhood of closing in on 100 by this point, and Bridge is my all time favorite when you factor everything together. First off, the beer. I LOVE their beer. They make so many great beers... I have literally never been disappointed by a beer choice from them. Where to start? The North Shore Pale Ale is my old stand by and where I start each visit. The Milkshake IPA's are incredible ("The Fuzz" peach one last year was especially delicious). The Lemon Gin Saison just tastes like summer. And the Bourbon Blood Orange Wheat Ale is as good as it gets. Oh, and don't miss out on the Pumpkin Porter if you have a chance... We love the tap room each time we visit North Van. It's small, but always packed with great people and awesome staff. Our rental vehicle has had a sleepover at Bridge one night on each of our last three trips to Vancouver, so that should tell you we enjoy ourselves here. The food is great... the tacos are tasty and the cheese and meat sticks (apparently a Vancouver area thing? Wish that was an Edmonton thing too...) are a great snack while enjoying beers. I search out the Bridge big bottles here in Edmonton, often grabbing their seasonals at Sherbrooke Liquor. So getting to go for fresh pints while in North Vancouver is like Christmas morning for this beer fan. This place is the best. read more

I really enjoyed this brewery for a few reasons. It's a small tasting room, but the size I expect a tasting room to be. I enjoyed the selection of beer I tasted, especially the lemon gin saison & the bourbon blood orange. They have typical options of beer types as well as unique brews. I also appreciate that they have a good selection of food to go along with the beer. There's a nice selection of tacos as well as sausage sticks & a few other sides. What a gem. Hidden in an industrial park, a block away from Seylynn Park (where I play slopitch). Parking is a bit nuts but it seemed to be more of a place where people came to refill their growlers. And it's TINY but they have this cute little patio (max seating is 8). Service was great. This is a place where the staff love what they are doing and are passionate about their products. I got the Bourbon Blood Orange (not too orangy), Side Cut IPA (higher percentage to get the party started), Lonsdale Lager (a classic), and the Amber Ale. I also tried my friends Rye and Ginger which I really enjoyed. Also, we met the loveliest people. We talked about our love of breweries and we even got several recommendations. I was very excited for their new location, new tasting room, new brewer and Bridge did not disappoint! I'm just not sure why I haven't come to check it out earlier now that it's even closer to the bridge and the rest of the city. Apparently we came on an unusually quiet evening but they have quite a following on social media and certainly don't need my help to promote their beers. They speak for themselves. Our favourite of the night was the Wee Tipsy Scotch Ale - they took a risk with the peaty-ness but if you like single malts you will like this one. You just can't have a bad beer here. This pains me so much. I used to love coming to Bridge after a ride. Simple. Beer-focused. But I just feel like they are trying to do too much now. The taco menu, offering wine and cider. I mean I get it. You want to accommodate more people. But what I love about the craft brewing scene is its simplicity and focus on beer. No fuss no muss. The space just feels crowded now that they've added a mini kitchen in the back to serve tacos. The beer fridge takes up valuable customer space. The line up is even more squeezed and i really wish there was a growler/offsale place vs a 'by the glass' till. I dunno. I will probably still come. But some of my favourite beers now officially out of rotation (ambleside, razza, sipi) i'm a little eager to see someone else fill the gap of a simple craft beer spot in NVan. read more

I've added this on my brewery list on March 6th. I little out of the way, however, came last month to celebrate a friend's "Happy Divorce party." Yes it is a thing to apparently celebrate a divorce complete with a pinata of the wife (broken later at his place). We did a car cab situation since this was a bit out of the way and all my other friends wanted to drink. The place was super super busy and it was hard to find seating for 6 people, however, something uncharacteristic happened in Vancouver in which we all spread out and started randomly sitting at other people's table where we could find a seat. We made amazing friends and had a good conversation. Word got around about the intent of the celebration and all of a sudden everyone wanted to be a part of our party. read more

First stop of our bike brewery tour, this spot is a hit hidden and being in North Van, it's probably not as busy as the other breweries in Vancouver. Great selection of beer, and I can definitely see this being a awesome summer spot, even though I don't think they have a patio. Great place to grab a growler fill and then head to a nearby park/hike. Or a spot between bike rides. They offer a couple interesting beers, like ones with lemon/gin and oranges which I thought were pretty neat. Will definitely return. read more

Great beer, loved that actually. My concern is I was not sure why a table of 2 of us were refused service after 3 drinks each. I think it will be easy to say that 3 drinks each were enough, however, there was no reason for this judgement call by the server other than he was "uncomfortable". I had to question why he was "uncomfortable"??? My friend and I had just had dinner. The server did not state he was "uncomfortable" because we hadn't consumed food at that restaurant. If his discomfort had to do with us not eating, he simply could have stated that fact and I would have disclosed I had just had a burger and fries down the street. I was at the Lonsdale location btw. I guess, if you're thinking of having more than 3 small beers here, and you're unsure about what of your personal/ethnic "qualities" might make the server "uncomfortable", possibly think twice about this place?. It disappoints me to write this review as it was recommended by a friend. If you're there only for the beer, it seems to be a good place. read more

They have a great selection on tap and in bottles! They have tacos and snack foods there too in case you get hungry.
