We've been several times to Streetcar Brewing and it's become one of my favourite breweries in town. It's located between Lagree West and Champions Martial Arts Academy. The entrance is a bit hidden unless you come from the alleyway. From 1st Street, walk down a flight of stairs to enter the building. Most people are outside chilling on the patio (three tables with fire pits for the winter season) but the inside has 6 tables. One of the tables has arcade games (Capcom featuring mostly Street Fighter along with a few other random games). They usually have 8 beers on tap along with some Northyards cider options. Awesome that they offer beer slushies (in the summer)! Happy hour is offered from Monday to Thursday (2:00pm to 4:00pm) and they've started serving pizza (from Bowen Pizza Company) ($15.00 to $19.00). Trip #1 We dropped in on a busy Saturday afternoon (around 4:00pm). - 2x Flight - we oopted for the citrus wheat ale ($2.25), peach radler ($2.75), apricot smoothie sour ($2.75) and blackberry smoothie sour ($2.75). Nothing particularly memorable about the citrus wheat ale but the other three flavours were right up our alleyway. Peach radler was fantastic and had me reminiscing of my childhood love for fuzzy peaches.Apricot sour tasted like dried apricots. Blackberry sour was smooth and creamy. The only one N got different was the blackberry smoothie sour slush ($3.00) which she said was delightful. Trip #2 We dropped in on a Saturday again (around 6:00pm) and it was bumping. - Flight - we tried the pumpkin spice strong ale ($2.75), blueberry smoothie sour ($2.75), peach radler ($2.75) and simple stout ($2.25). The pumpkin spice strong ale smells like fall baking. Blueberry smoothie sour was refreshing; honestly, any of their smoothie sour flavours have been fantastic. Peach radler is still crushable. The simple stout was just as described; smooth, easy drinking. Trip #3 We dropped in on another busy Saturday afternoon (around 4:00pm). - Flight - went with the Northyards raspberry cider ($2.75), root beer candy cane ale ($2.25), coffee crispy boi collab with Sundown ($2.25) and raspberry porter ($2.25). Raspberry cider was decent but lacked a punch in flavour. Our favourite of the beers was the coffee crispy boi blonde ale; smooth and akin to biting into a coffee crisp bar. We appreciated the experimentation on the other two but not our favourites. Root beer candy cane was exactly as described but we didn't love the finish. Overly minty. Raspberry porter needed something to balance it (something like a raspberry chocolate may have worked better) The peach radler and any of their sours are bomb. Will continue to come back to SB whenever we're in North Van! 4.5 stars.

Looks like this place Wow this place is hard to get to. Besides the rather irregular hours, the entrance is also nice and hidden. Took my buddy and me several tries to finally get here when it was actually open. Parking is available on the street (1st Street), but there is actually a lot at the back (Lolo Lane) instead. The address technically says 1st Street, but basically the brewery faces the back alley, with the "front" entrance basically being an afterthought. Not to mention that the first thing one encounters using the 1st Street entrance is a flight of stairs down. Just go in from Lolo. You can thank me later. The brewery space used to be a car repair shop, so there is a nice large garage door. Inside is modern and shiny. Plenty of bar style seating and high tables. Reminds me of Twin Sails in Port Moody. Staff are friendly and chill. Flights are a wee bit expensive at some $9 a flight. Not as bad as nearby Green Leaf though. As of the time of writing (December 2019) there are 8 brews available. In other words, 2 flights can clean them out. There are also currently no pints or sleeves available yet due to licensing issues. Beers are decent. The peach radler is actually quite pleasant to sip, though 1 taster is enough based on the flavour. The apricot sour is sour indeed, and may be too intense for some. The red ale was more bitter than expected. Still not as good as the Heroica Red from Steamworks. Definitely will be back at some point to try the other 4 beers I missed last time.

Such a fun brewery! They have outdoor seating (some undercover and some with fire pits) as well as indoor seating. They usually offer a wide selection of different varieties of beer, and you can also order Cream Pony fried chicken from to be delivered to your table, as well!

Okay, while on First, you may think it's super sketchy traipsing down the stairs, where there are tanks full of brew in a basement. But then, you're greeted by an incredibly sweet server/bartender/hostess (a little of everything) along with a perfect menu of brew selections. Also, you can order from the local fried chicken joint called Cream Pony. Enjoyed some snacks and brew on a perfect North Van afternoon.

Their patio is in an alleyway. Very cute brewery very tucked away. Their main entrance is not obvious but it's a gem!

This brewery is tucked away and could be a bit tricky to find. But it's right near lonsdale quay. Like a 5-10min walk. The beer is phenomenal. They have a great strawberry kiwi sour, it's amazing.

It was quite busy when we arrived on Sunday mid afternoon Upon arrival no one was really monitoring or greeting people so we stood around for five minutes unsure of what we were supposed to be doing. We stood around and eventually figured we should just take any free spot we could find for two. We got the cruisey juice double dry hop IPA, fresh hop IPA, the chocolate Stout and the sour (not the berry one on tap). All were good but cruisey juice our favorite. I was pretty shocked regarding their prices though! Two beers came out to be over $20 without tip, otherwise good vibes and good tunes. Cool crowd.

Free parking is available in front of the building. The place is quite spacious. Looks like it was once a car repair shop (just like Streetcar). Actually according to the internets it used to be a carpentry shop. Single large area with bay door that can be opened to let air in. Cute little old school fireplace on the side. Wonder if it's functional. Tables are fine but the chairs are the rather uncomfortable stainless steel interrogation room type. Fortunately there are also some cushions lying around. My butt thanked me. Staff are friendly. As of the time of writing there are 10 brews (9 beers and 1 3rd party cider) available. The beers here are actually quite good. Reminds me of Wildeye. Plenty of ales but they also have sours and stouts. Nice mix. Only real comment I have is that the Life Of Riley Hazy IPA didn't seem too hazy at all. Maybe they should change the name. Will be back in the future.

Malted grains we all know as the big ingredient in beer. Honey is the fermentable in mead. So what we have here at Braggot Brewing is a fermented beverage made with malt and honey. The fellow who runs the place is inviting and not overbearing and does a great job talking about what he brews. His bees are in Delta, he's had them awhile, and he seems like an A+ beekeeper. The beverages were great, and ran from mild and dry to strong and sweet. I think the styles change so no point in describing the ones I had other than to say they were well made and tasted great. Get a sampler if you want to try them all. The vibe is good, like the old brewpubs used to be in the 1980's. IYKYK. They have some board games available so if you want to hold up for a while and have a beverage this is your place!

The inside is not well layed out (one bulky communal table) but they have a few random games and darts. 5 beers to choose from along with a small food/snack menu. - Flight ($10.00 for 4) - golden elixir, sunset orange, brown ale braggot and dark ages. Not much flavour. Golden elixir and sunset orange were unmemorable. The brown ale had some honey notes, but one dimensional. Dark ages reminded me a nitro; everyone's least favourite. - Ambrosia ($5.00) - closest to a true braggot (11.9% alcohol). The best of the five beers that we tried along with the most expensive. Didn't love any of the beers at BB.
