He did a memorial tattoo on me for my favorite dog Bugsy*. He captured the image perfectly and added some extras I wouldn't of thought of. *Bugsy didn't die but his owner (my ex) doesn't let us be in each other's life anymore. Back in April I came here to get a memorial mom tattoo done after my mom passed away. She was my best friend too so I wanted it to be perfect. The tattoo artist, Chris, did a very nice job and I was very pleased, but in my nervousness I didn't notice that the 'o' looked like an 'e' until a friend asked me why I had 'men' tattooed on my arm, trying to be funny. Unfortunately I was not amused and pretty bummed to now see that too. Since Chris charged me $150 (plus I tipped $30), I figured he wouldn't mind fixing it. I wish I could give this place 6 Stars... Especially Adam. At 64 years old, I wanted to get my first tattoo. My youngest son and his fiancée were killed in a high-speed DUI chase last year. The anniversary is APRIL 2. I shared with my family that I wanted to memorialize them with a tattoo. They all laughed and thought I had lost my mind... maybe I did a little but I knew this was something that I really wanted and it was really important to me. More important than there are words to say. If I am blessed... It will be my one and only. So I persisted in asking my two surviving sons to help me with this. My middle son Joshua recommended Bridge City and my oldest son Sean went with me. I had no idea what I was doing or how to go about it. ‍ We walked into Bridge City Tattoo and noticed right away how clean & neat it was. Later we found out that the health inspector was there that same day right before we came back to actually get the tattoo done. I'm sure they got an A rating. We were met by Adam and shared the type of tattoo I wanted and the basic design of it. Two hearts with an infinity and my sons initial & birth year and his fiancé's initial & birth year plus a hummingbird. Adam asked us to give him some time to put together the design. He did a wonderful job. It was everything I wanted. It was beautiful, Perfect. The whole experience was interesting and very good. I was so nervous but Adam was very gentle and kind. He took the time to explain everything to me and continued to explain the whole way through the tattooing. Originally I wanted it on my wrist but then changed my mind because Adam explained there are less nerve endings as I go a little higher up on my arm. The placement ended up on my forearm. I was grateful for the information so I could weigh out my pain to placement ratio. From 1 to 10...I would say pain was about a three or four for 99% of it . Adam had a light touch and I deeply appreciate it . As he was tattooing, my son and I were sharing why I was getting this tattoo. Adam has a compassionate & kind heart. ‍ My son kept me laughing and Adam explained & chatted with me. Between the two, the time went by quickly & my nervousness melted away. I left with a precious gift. Between the Lord's help, my sons' help, and Adam's artistic expertise & technique, I found it to be an amazing experience. Adam gave me aftercare instructions that were simple and easy to understand...No this, that, or the other...but the one that really made me laugh was...NO GARDENING! The owner took the time to chat with me as well. These are really good people. If I want to add to my tattoo or get another, this is the place I will go to. I highly recommend Adam.
