We booked this hotel after looking at reviews. From the outside it looked like an old motel but the inside looks like it was just remodeled with nice modern furnishings, it was very clean, and comes with a nice breakfast too. We heard that the independent owner does a project upgrading the place every year. This year they put in a fire pit, which unfortunately we didn't take advantage of. If what you see when you pull in the parking lot is representative of the "charm" in the rooms, prepare yourself. I'm not sure if there are remodeled rooms that other 4&5 star reviewers stayed in, but the room we had was dated & in need of ... demolition? Mold in the bathtub/shower caulk; the tub faucet had been caulked, recaulked, was wobbling, & ready to fall off; no tub mat or any safety strips in tub for showering; one bathroom electrical outlet; no operating bath fan (the ceiling grate was rusty & disgustingly dirty); very few operational electrical outlets in the room; doors don't close easily; cheap window curtains barely fit the window width & get blown up & open when the loud heat/AC unit is on; thin walls with scattered holes (TV's & convo's in neighboring rooms easily audible). Breakfast was meh, no better than typical free breakfast bar at a chain hotel. If all you want is a decent bed/mattress, hot shower with clean towels, & a tv - this place is for you. read more

We loved this place! The motel was right in town so it was a close walk to the shops and restaurants. The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff was so nice and friendly. And the breakfast was wonderful. The owner makes everything herself even homemade cinnamon rolls. They even called me the day we arrived to verify our stay and to see if we needed anything. This motel exceeded our expectations in several ways. It is located at the foot of Main Street, making all the shops and places to eat a short walk away. Before we arrived the desk called to make sure our reservation was clear, and made us feel welcome. When we arrived the desk person was polite and quick, and gave us two rooms adjacent so that we could have the two beds we requested. It was a bonus we did not expect.c The rooms had been refurbished, as it is an older motel, but they were comfortable and clean and ready. Everything in the room worked. The room rate was excellent plus it included breakfast. Most older motels have problems, but this one did not. It was great. read more

Fantastic little motel! It reminds me of places I would stay when on road trips with my grandparents in the 80s and 90s but even nicer. Very kind hotel staff, the room was spacious, clean and far exceeded expectations (loved the lamps and accent chair). The shower was Perfect, especially after a long drive over the mountains and there was a nice selection of items for breakfast (the instant oatmeal was delicious and healthier than typical oatmeal options offered). The pet area was great too. We had a room with 2 queens and the beds were in separate sleeping rooms and each had its own bathroom - which the teenager very much appreciated. I highly recommend this place! We will be staying here again the next time we drive from Seattle to visit relatives in Boise. read more

My Aunt & I were on a road trip to Hilltop lakes, Texas. She was moving on with my cousin and his wife, and I was staying a couple days then flying back to Portland, or. During into this place No one would ever think by looking at the outside of this place could ever look like it does.. so pretty inside the refurbished rooms. READ IN ENTIRETY BEFORE BOOKING Made the reservation on my phone while headed across Idaho, on Labor Day Saturday. Took a chance because reviews I saw were very split. Actually glad I did. Had to use booking.com because that's what the hotel website uses. Room options are confusing. After booking they called to confirm and asked if I had pets (no) Apparently I had booked a pet room. When I checked in a few hours later someone was at the desk complaining about their room and asking to move. My hoped faded. However when it was my turn she told me that she had upgraded my room to one of the updated rooms. Now the split reviews made sense. About 1/2 of the rooms are updated. And they are absolutely adorable. Super comfy bed. Pillows are soft (too soft according to my husband - I travel with one so can't comment) I have no idea how to confirm you're getting an updated room (booking.com does not clarify) so would highly recommend making a reservation over the phone. Breakfast was limited but good. And staff very friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. LOVED the location. Clerk gave me a list of recommendations for dinner and we walked a few blocks to check out all of them. SO close and convenient. There is also supposed to be a trail nearby but we stayed at dinner too late to locate it. This is a vintage motor lodge. Rooms are NOT ADA accessible for anyone in a wheelchair as halls and doors are narrow. But they do have walk-in showers. read more

The rooms are newly updated, the staff is very friendly, the free breakfast is very good, the rooms are aways very clean, the location is great - a block from downtown so you don't need to drive to get to everything downtown has to offer. My wife and I travel a lot and we both agree that the Bridge Street Inn is the best value today. read more

I was in Baker City for an Elks convention, and I stayed here the three nights I had to be here. Lots of positive points from my stay here. First, everyone working here was super nice and helpful, from the evening front desk people to the morning staff. Second, and most importantly, these rooms were half the price of the hotels belonging to the national chains! Third, the rooms were quiet. Every four rooms have a shallow, interior corridor that offers access to those four rooms. They also put earplugs on the room desk, just in case. One more thing -- I stuck around flor an extra day, so which motel did I choose for another good night's sleep? Bridge Street Inn, of course! read more

Horrible. Reviews must be fake. I reserved through Expedia, it says newly remodeled 500 sq ft room with 43" tvs, tub/shower combo and great grass area. Yeah, no. Our room was maybe 12' x 14' ( looks like they split the room because you walk down a hallway and take the back room!!) The room is so small with a 32" TV broke on a wall mount....it just faces down, a 36" fiberglass tub with black mold running up the outside wall, no tub (wouldn't fit in the bathroom, a table with tiny unpadded chairs and a heater that is so loud you can't sleep. This is our go to halfway point between Portland and Salt Lake City. It's very clean, comfortable and safe. Our room has a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker with options of herbal tea also. A simple quaint older motel located at the end of downtown. After staying in hotels from Denver to Green River and all the way to the western coast, I cannot express what a relief this place was to find. Not only does it boast pet friendly rooms and a fenced back yard area for those of us with canine companions, but the continental breakfast was incredible for the price range. I have a sensitive stomach, particularly in mornings; I'm also hypoglycemic and have a tricky time finding foods during long trips that will fulfill my need for protein without making me nauseous. The options here included toasted bagels with cream cheese, bacon, eggs, cereal, clementines, oj and organic milk. It made me almost weep with relief to know that I would feel properly nourished before hitting the road again. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming; and the rooms were clean. A great inexpensive place to stay. I was taking a motorcycle trip and ended the day in Baker City. Bridge Street Inn came up on Yelp. I decided to give it a try. The place is great. I stumbled into the office and was greeted by a friendly gal. They had a room, asked if I wanted to be towards the front so I could keep an eye on my motorcycle. She even offered to set up a 'bike wash station' if i needed to clean up the bike. All that, plus a clean room, hot shower and great recommendation for dinner. For me hospitality is important, the Bridge Street Inn met and passed the mark I rise early and was greeted with the same hospitality when seeking a coffee in the morning. The gal that greeted me pointed me to an urn of coffee, which I enjoyed as the sun rose behind Baker City. The rooms are small, clean and well kept. The people are friendly and the Inn Is walking distance to "downtown." If you are heading through and need a place to stay this is worth a look. read more

Excellent value in Baker City. We purposefully look for small motels relying on reviews and often the outward appearance of the motel. This establishment is tidy and clean both inside and out. Our room had simple furniture, a comfortable bed, and other standard amenities. The bathroom was small, but had a full-size tub and lots of towels. The real bonus was the complimentary breakfast and coffee bar -- so much more than expected and better than many large "chain" establishments. Friendly staff, too, and cookies at check-in! read more

We didn't get to take advantage of the little picnic table in the back by the creek due to the time of year, but it looked like it would be super cute! To the person who gave this 2 stars - are you Zagats? Or Michelin? The stars aren't if the place has a golf course and a 5 star restaurant, the stars are the value, cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. Bridge Street Inn deserves at least four stars. Great price, very clean and the beds and pillows were quite comfy. We were quite surprised. The bathroom was clean and had a lovely boutique style bar of bath soap that smelled amazing. There were complimentary ear plugs in the room but honestly we didn't hear anything from the road or the other guests. The layout was different in that there are several "hallways" with just a couple of rooms in each hall which is nicer than opening your room door and being in the parking lot. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area. read more

We were supposed to stay in this hotel tonight as we made our booking from the pictures in the advertisement. The pictures in the ad in no way reflect the property. When we pulled in, we were nervous but since we had paid, we decided to give it a fair shot. Once we got in the room, what was concerning on the outside was awful on the inside. These pictures are fake and management/ownership should be ashamed of themselves. Whoever wrote the positive reviews must have a relationship with ownership/management. We asked for a refund and were refused so we ate it and went down the street to the Best Western. I wouldn't say the Best Western is the Ritz but it's 100 times better. I hate eating $100 but I would have rather slept in my car on the side of the street. read more

Awesome Motel. Extremely clean. Quiet. Bed was very comfortable. One block away from Main street which is full of shops and places to eat and drink. I'm from Seattle so being in a quaint little place like Baker City was a welcome break from the chaos. Checking in and out was a very simple process and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very simple but satisfying.....and more importantly free. I'm usually a bit leery about staying in motels because some of them are disgusting. Bridge Street Inn was Amazing. do not stay here, they scammed us $80 for a key they claim we never turned in, when a maid clearly saw me put it in the key box drop. I think they scam people in this manner and you have no recourse but to pay their lost key fee. why have a drop box for the key and then say it was never turned in? read more

Very good rates and a quaint room makes me give this place five stars. Sixty dollars for a queen bed, a fridge and microwave. Most places don't even have that much and they charge 100+ dollars.
