0 stars if i could. This place is a joke. They're trying to pay their monthly rent with 1 item they sell. I tried returning a pair of shoes that ripped because all they do is glue shoes together for a quick sell. I bought another pair of leather boots that they sold me for 35 dollars. After 2 days the heels started crumbling. I tried to return them with the receipt and they just looked at me like im crazy and just found the shoes in the dumpster. Now im having yo pay a shoe cobbler 60 dollars to re sole the boots. Stay away from this hipster hole dump!!!!!! read more

I was excited when they first opened to have another thrift store. That turned to disappointment when I saw the ridiculously high prices they are charging. Sadly, many of the thrifts have gotten so expensive, you can buy it new for what they want for used. read more

Awful store. They take donations from you but they won't give you a receipt for taxes that's first of all. The items in the store are pure garbage and are overpriced beyond retail. Considering that they are getting items for free they turn around and they sell them around boutique and retail putting money in their pockets. Outrageous! Pretty decent selection of stuff and cool that you can now hit two thrift stores in one go with Goodwill right next door. Had lots of VHS tapes, which are increasingly difficult to find these days. Bought a few at $1 a piece. Biggest issue with this store are the prices. Saw a cool LEGO set in the front display, but saw that it was $40, which was right at/just over eBay prices. Store also had some bobbleheads, but they were all $8 or so. The fun of thrifting is finding deals on stuff you want and if you just match eBay prices, that pretty much sucks all the fun out of it. While they might get some solid items, you're unlikely to get much of a deal on it. They also have colored/dated price stickers but I asked the cashier and apparently they don't even run any sales so not really sure what the point of that is... read more

I was really hopeful and excited about a new thrift store in Clairemont. It's large and bright and very clean. Extremely friendly workers and great customer service. Lots of parking and easy in and out right off Clairemont dr. The disappointing part is the inflated prices on very pedestrian average clothing labels. I'm not sure who is advising them on pricing but, wow they are totally off. The Goodwill is next door and although they have gone up in price, it's a much better option. better labels and lower prices. I'm not giving up on them. I will give it another try. Just an FYI, I just tried to return a three dollar household colander that wouldn't fit in my pan and they refused to take it back. They were rather rude about it. things in there are rather expensive. just watch the return policy you can only return clothes and electronics and the clerk when I bought the stuff said things were returnable within five days but on the receipt, it is clear that they won't take everything back. I would avoid this thrift store manager was no help at all. read more

Great selection of furniture for cheap prices. I often find the best pieces here, which only need a few coats of fresh paint to come to life. The dresses are priced too high, but they make up for it with the low prices of everything else. The staff has always been friendly and energetic. Love this store! read more

This store sucks the management is terrible. The customer service is awful and the prices are sky high.

Overpriced. Way overpriced. There is no reason why a used plain black generic no brand T shirt with a company event printed on it should cost $14.99, nor should an off brand of used swim trunks be $19.99. And I asked if they offer a receipt for donations and was told no, then asked why not, and was told I don't know, then asked who does, and was also told I don't know. So I donated my things to the Goodwill next door. Why would I pay higher prices for something I could get new with tags at full blown retail prices that is used and has been donated to a thrift store? Not coming back. Don't waste your time looking for deals here. You won't find them. read more

I asked my handyman to take 10 large 33 quart bags of mostly new ladies skirts, tops and shoes to a specific charity that I normally donate to. He instead took it to this nearby for profit thrift store, Bridge Thrift Store. I was definitely not pleased. So I went to the store to request my items back. The assistant partner Andrew said there was nothing they can do about it even though I told him that I had already identified a few of my items and I would be able to identify more. He flatly refused to assist me in this error and got away with over $2,000 wholesale worth of what I will label as dishonest and "stolen goods". read more

The customer service is good when it comes to it for the most part... but the prices are insane honestly how are you going to be charging 10 bucks for a crew neck beat to the ground that smells horrible and then turn around and charge 10 dollars for a shirt completely faded for the same price. Clean, good furniture, too expensive! Most women's blouses were $8.99. Shoes $15.99. Left empty handed after finding a few things because I couldn't justify the cost for used clothing. read more

My husband & I stopped at Bridge Thrift just after we'd visited the Good Will store next door. He bought a golf club, I bought a pair of lovely, unusual silver candlesticks -- but the real prize was a gorgeous ash sideboard -- buffet -- not sure what to call it. It has two lower shelves and three drawers, and the top is made of narrow panels of wood, which just match our light, hardwood floors. It was inexpensive, and has made a beautiful addition to a room in our home. Bottom line, we went in to browse, and came out feeling we'd won the lottery! read more

This is the store for you, if...you want to pay for a used item at triple the amount of retail prices. We asked to negotiate the price of an item because it was more than triple the price of its new counterpart. After consulting his so called "production team" he would not lower the ridiculously inflated price. It's fun to treasure hunt, but it isn't fun to spend your whole treasure on the experience. read more

My review is on the donating side of this business.. Having a family member pass away and a whole house of goods to donate i have been a frequent flyer thru their donation center. Everyone i have dealt with has been very friendly and very expressive in thanking me for my donations. I even had the pleasure of talking with some of the sales staff at the jewelry counter and sharing the story of some of the donated items.. they were so genuinely happy to know more back story.. they took the care to actually get many of the items appraised.. i felt like they took personal interest in the items received. The store is well organized, clean and well stocked. I also like their mission in that the proceeds received go back into community programs . you can go to their website to learn more.. don't be fooled to think that if an organization is not for profit that they aren't making profit for the management.. Goodwill is one of the biggest examples of a not for profit that overwhelmingly puts money into the managements pocket. I would much rather give to an organization with the mission of Bridge Thrift. If you are strictly interested in thrifting and finding the cheap deal while you wade thru junk... then go next door to GW... but if you want an organization that is doing something and treats you with gratitude for your donations .. then look into Bridge Thrift. read more

I was so excited when I learned that a thrift store was opening at this location. I love to support small, family-owned thrift stores, both by donating and buying goods. Before it opened a neighbor of mine had met the owner in the parking lot and she shared that all proceeds were going back to Clairemont. Unfortunately, I either received bad intel or the owners were not being honest. This is a FOR-PROFIT company. I learned this when I donated several bags of clothes and other household items. When I requested a receipt, the employee said they were unable to give me a receipt because they are not a 501c. Their website says that they fund changemakers; however, it says nothing about giving back to Clairemont specifically and since they are not a non-profit, there is zero oversight if they donate any of their profits. Also, they have another location in LA. I understand that thrift stores don't have to be non-profits, but I feel that they are not being transparent and it just rubs me the wrong way. With this knowledge, if you want to still donate your items to them, great; it is better than going to the landfill. However, I will be choosing to donate my items to a charity. read more
