Which makes it harder for me to shop and takes a longer time to look at what I want. For the woman clothing section I felt that 90% of them were out of date, and mostly stained. You are definitely paying the lower price for these, but I didn't find anything that I liked. Some of the major namebrand were still affordable, but they are behind the counter, so you might need to get some help to look at those. I do believe the store is more for older generation because I feel like my mom/ grandma would love these style of clothes.

These items are donated 100% free of charge, yet many are priced as if they're brand new--or even more expensive than buying them new on sale at a retail store. The whole purpose of a thrift store is to make secondhand items affordable while supporting the community. Instead, it feels like someone with no understanding of value is pricing these donations based on wishful thinking rather than reality. I've seen chipped home décor, worn clothing, used kitchen items, and damaged furniture with price tags that made me laugh out loud. At these prices, I'd rather spend a few dollars more and buy something brand new with a warranty and the ability to return it. Goodwill has forgotten what made people love thrift stores in the first place. Until pricing becomes reasonable again, I'll gladly take my business to local thrift stores where donated items are actually priced like donated items.

You can drive up during their business hours to donate. Sometimes the parking can be challenging. If so, the staff will happily help you tote your donated items from your car parking spot. They ask if you need a receipt for tax purposes as well. The inside of the store is very well organized and they seem to always have furniture available. They arrange the displays well and they are very reasonable about negotiating prices within reasonable constraints. Keep in mind that they are mostly volunteers so when they say that they cannot go lower on a negotiated price, please respect that as a patron. Good people, great thrift/resale store, and good donation site.

I'm giving it 3 stars because workers are meh here. I recently came to try and sell some items to make extra cash and declutter. I came 15 mins prior to their opening. When the worker finally came and opened the door, I walked In with one bag of items (I had more in my trunk but wanted to see if they wanted anything first). Literally I'm one of three other potential customers in that store and there are two workers and I stood waiting for them to ask me for assistance. But they were talking about something I wasn't listening to ( it was not work related). Finally they asked to look at my items and informed me I could look around the store so I did. Finally I went down and I guess the lady was done looking through my bag so I asked if there was anything she wanted and she said no thank you not this time. Cool!-I was kinda annoyed because I looked at their website the night prior to see what they would take but it just says to come in and bring your things. So I had to ask, why wouldn't you take anything and what do you look for. Something she could've informed me...she stated they look for things like free people and topshop. I'm thinking can't you post this on your website so ppl know and don't come in with a bag full of items that won't be accepted. I had Guess, Elliot Luca, Victoria's Secret, Zara items. They do not accept those, which is fine but the worker seemed like a snobby hipster. I guess it's better to buy from there then to try and sell.

Bonus points for two other good thrift spots that I can hit in the same area. Parking here is a breeze, as there is a nice and spacious lot. Setup is similar to the Sutherland Amvets, and the store is large. Things are sorted by clothing type, not size, so be prepared to spend a good amount of time going through the racks. I have found many gems here, though there is also a good amount of Shein and stained/ripped items. Prices have been creeping higher but it's not as bad as other thrift stores in SD. They do military discount and 50% off on certain color tags daily. Overall this is my go-to thrift store and I look forward to discovering what gems I can find here.
