Must be something about Clairemont thrift stores because this is also one of the worst thrift stores I've ever been to in my life. Just full of absolute trash that is insanely overpriced! I normally don't leave bad reviews unless it's absolutely necessary. But it is time. I've been coming here for a while, the tags are almost always sized completely wrong. Example: Sized Large and in the wrong section, and then it's actually a size small according to internal tag. This has forced me to check every tag when I shop here and it's extremely frustrating. Staff is usually nice. But I had a crazy situation happen and I feel uncomfortable about it. I always hook my keys on my finger. I went to pay and had them under my clothes to pay. I set them on the counter. I walked about 10 feet away for a sec to hang something I no longer wanted back up so the cashier didn't have to. I came back to pay, went to walk to my car, realized my keys weren't there. Thinking the most rational thought, I'd left on the counter, or they fell, I didn't see them anywhere. I asked the manager to check where they were. She said I never took them off my finger, WHICH IS NOT THE TRUth...and was insisting that I'd dropped them outside. I didn't. It's day time. She them told me "this stuff been happening a lot." If people are losing items like this out of nowhere, it's time to investigate your staff. This makes no sense. I then had to uber home to grab new keys, and hope my car and items in it would still be there. I'm not accusing anyone directly. This was very bizarre and the behavior of the management didn't sit well with me. read more

Prices are very hit or miss. I've found very cheap stuff in here but 75% of stuff is way overpriced. Staff is usually standoffish or cold however they offer boxes for large amounts of items so that's nice. Lots of parking. Right next door to Goodwill. read more

I stopped in because it is next door to good will., which was more or less across the street from Del Taco where I had dinner. Back to Bridge. A former Goodwill store that has decent stuff for the area, albeit slightly overpriced. We almost bought a used sofa here for our basement room but ended up getting furniture from Amazon and Wayfair. Because the location is between Clairemont and Pacific Beach, they try to upcharge and focus on trendy items. It probably works though, or they wouldn't do it. Even the name suggests a positive modern approach. We thought there were decent things here, just nothing we wanted or needed. There were a nice handful of customers here the entire time. We browsed and found nothing, but saw things that would interest many that are trying to furnish their apartment. Low cost items that add character to a place. Cheaper sofas. Dining sets also. A decent place to get starter furniture and/or knickknacks for decorating. The sofa that peaked our interest was like 200$ but we waited and bought a much better one eventually that was totally brand new. Not a bad place for overall thrifting apparently, as I saw several female 20-somethings browsing the clothing racks. read more

Probably the top of the worst thrift store (if yu can even call it that) that you can ever go to . Nothing under 7/8$ all basic and random logo shirts start at 8.99$ . They don't give any discounts and have self centered liberals only working there. I would not recommend wasting your time there and also donating to their establishment. The workers here are always very weird when me or other POC come around. There's no fitting rooms, they don't let you bring in any bags, and they're stingy with prices. I've only come here three times but each time the employees at the registers talk amongst each other the entire time and don't greet customers consistently. It is also CA law that any gift card under $10 in value can be cashed out but when I asked for the 5 cents I had left on the card to be cashed out, the young white female cashier kept telling me they don't do that... I told her it's 5 cents and California law. She still refused. Honestly better off finding better service and products from Buffalo Exchange. Was overcharged for a shirt and brought it back to get my money back and was told there was nothing they could do since it was a discounted item and a worker didn't cut off the normal priced tag. Someone didn't do their job correctly and I lost money because of it so I'm a bit disappointed. If you buy an outlet item just make sure someone doesn't overcharge you. read more

The staff is friendly. The prices are just okay, but there is a great return policy on clothes, electronics and appliances and they have a pretty good discount schedule on large furniture pieces that would otherwise be too expensive at their full tagged price. Made my way over to check out this store and look for some treasures! Everything was displayed so nicely and the lock ups had some nice collectibles to choose from. The store was tidy and that is the hardest part of running a thrift store! The presentation of things! To top it off, we got great customer service from Natalie and the crew! If prices close to brand new at the store is your jam, this spot is for you. Whoever is in charge of pricing is high on something! 9.99 for a used T-Shirt? DVD set inside the case for 29.99? It's like somebody is looking at eBay and saying yeah new ones sold for that so why don't we just try putting it up there. Oh here's the best part they'll have tags that say in two weeks it drops 25%, in three weeks it drops 50%, in four weeks drops 75%. I had my eye on an item and the next day it was supposed to go to 75% off. I went to the store the night before, was there at closing, and the item was still there. Went back in in the morning the next day and it's some how was sold. Gee I wonder who bought it? Probably the employee who over priced it so high that no one wanted to buy it at full price, quarter price, half price, etc. If I was the owners of this thrift shop, and that's a stretch, calling at the thrift, I'd take a hard look at whoever is doing their pricing model. THIFT: Careful management, especially of money. Sadly, this place gets their pricing very wrong. Most of the other reviews about pricing are correct. I once inquired about it and they said "we're not trying to be the cheapest because we do a lot of good with our revenue." I'm a thrift store child and now I'm an adult of thrift stores. The one common business practice over all these years (not rocket science) is to not sell something for more than what it costs to buy brand new. That's the whole point of the word "thrift." I still poke my head in this place every now and then but the reality is there are so many other thrift stores that have much better deals. A brand new quicksilver T-shirt that cost $25 at a retail store and less at a Marshalls or TJMaxx should not sell for $18 preowned. Don't forget, everything in the store was donated which means it has a cost basis of zero. I will update this post if it needs to be. read more

I like this store and come here often but the items are a hit and miss usually miss I bought a electronic and it didn't work so I returned it in the return window and they gave me a gift card of 30$ to the store only and warned me the other electronics might not work because they aren't tested but the clothes are okay depending if you come when they restock and that's at random times the clothes are all around 10-15$ even if they have holes witch is a minus but a plus is that I found a lot of alternative clothing here if your into that sort of stuff read more

Bought a few games there and opened them up at home and they were missing the main pieces. When I called she asked if it said anything on the tag like missing pieces I said no. She said "oh well it's buy at your own risk". Funny how she was trying to trick me to see if the tag said anything. I'm not going back to this store. It's over priced like no other. Business model is "price stuff higher than the thrift store 10 feet away" Some stuff is severely overpriced. Take for example trading cards, which they sell for heavily over market value. If you don't like the prices you can literally go next door, where stuff isn't as well organized and the staff is way less friendly and helpful. At IKEA you can buy a set of 6 kid bowls for 2.49. At bridge thrift you can buy the same USED set for 12.00!!! What a bargain! Are they trying to be a boutique? All the kids clothes were so expensive too, little boys t-shirts 8.99- the same shirt NEW at target is 6.99. Kids clothes at thrift stores should always be lower. They need to do better research on new Items and mark their prices down! So ridiculous! Most thrifters avoid boutiques because getting a good deal is part of the experience. Bridge thrift also says they don't barter, but with unfair pricing and more then quadruple the price of newer items, they are losing customers. Goodwill will often change the price if you think it's unfair or inflated (which is most items these days to be honest) it's sad that you can't find thrift stores with good prices anymore. Please do this business a favor and don't shop here, or hopefully they see this page and respond with actual customer service... which is also lacking. Lost 1 customer- many more to come. read more

All clothes are priced 60-75% higher than Goodwill, 100% higher than Salvation Army or Vincent DuPaul/Cerebral Palsy thrift stores. Store wad relatively clean, but on top of the already inflated prices, you will be charged sales tax. An inflated $12.99 pair of pants will become $14 and change. Discounts are only given to Military or Veterans - I wasn't offered a discount for student, senior, teacher/educator, or first responder. On top of this when I offered to pay cash $13 for the $12.99 pair of pants, the cashier rather curtly (could be constructed as pointedly or even slightly rude) responded "We don't BARTER". Bridge thrift is new to my area and I was excited to have a new place to thrift. However, I was very disappointed in the pricing. The items themselves are okay but the pricing is ridiculous. Some tags (such as Old Navy & Forever 21) are priced higher than what they were originally. I tried returning a pair of shoes that ripped because all they do is glue shoes together for a quick sell. I bought another pair of leather boots that they sold me for 35 dollars. After 2 days the heels started crumbling. I tried to return them with the receipt and they just looked at me like im crazy and just found the shoes in the dumpster.
