I was in the process of buying my first home with my fiance, when it was discovered that 5 years ago the loan company put my social SS# incorrectly. I found this information out immediately and filled out a document to fix it. I now know that it was never fixed. This led to that incorrect SS# taking over my identity and every credit bureau only associated me with the wrong information. The correct information seemed to have disappeared. This caused my home loan to be flagged as fraud due to the conflicting information. I reached out to Bridgecrest many times. Also, I spent over 15 hours on the phone with every credit bureau to resolve the issue. Starting on June 4th for about 10 days, I fought tirelessly to get this issue fixed to finally buy the home of my dreams. The loan company, Bridgecrest, refused to provide any help and was honestly quite rude with me, so I reported this issue to the BBB. They reached out to me for compliance's sake, but never did anything to help the situation. They provided little help during my many calls to them and provided no help or insight then either. I let it go because all of my fighting on my own resolved the credit bureau issue, but I feared of them somehow turning it back therefore undoing all the hard work I did. July 7th, I received a call from my loan officer for the home that Bridgecrest sent me to collections on the loan that I am still actively paying for. My credit history with them should be perfect. I strongly believe that I was sent to collections as a form of retaliation for reporting them. Due to this situation, they destroyed my credit immensely for something incorrect and caused me to lose the home that I was in the process of purchasing in just 3 days. I gave all that I could to get this home. I had my dreams of homeownership shattered by a car loan company. I now need to fight through the process of correcting my credit, which could now take years with the damage caused. They refuse to admit what they did. read more

I called to make a payment for my vehicle after I realized the auto payments weren't going through. Upon the call I was greeted with the usual and I asked why was I taken off of the auto payment plan. I was then told the system was automatic then after I asked why this information wasn't told to me. The situation was escalated to a manager, and i continue the question. She let me know that the company isn't obligated to let me know any change of information or change to plans. so instead of paying $575 I ended up paying $605 plus a service fee of $3.59. This company has very poor communication and lack empathy and the communication skills the mitigate situation. I called customer service about it, after they could not fix it, I asked to elevate the matter to a manager. The manager was disrespectful, blamed me for not knowing and did not fix it. Much like the other reviews I have read, Bridgecrest is not worth what you will go through. I pay over my payment amount every single payment and yet my remaining balance is not going down. They made me get a co-signer. Now, my ex, who shot a gun at me and my son, and they will not let me change co-signers, or as they make it, co-owner. He used my deferral when he was supposed to be making the payments, with no knowledge to me. Instead of paying anything, they added payments he should have made (I was unable to drive and he was the only one using the car...but those payments got stuck on the end of my car payments. Now that I was in the hospital for over a month, I can't use it, so what was supposed to be helping my credit is killing it! To boot, my car I got has had a knocking in the engine since I got it. The knocking didn't start until after I drove home (about an hour away)...so could it have been a pepper trick to cover up engine problems, because they refused to allow me to trade it out for one that wasn't knocking. $44,000 for a car valued at about $14,000 and it's knocking. I think everyone effected by them and their hidden charges and scams, and mostly, their racketeering...need to come together and just sue the heck out of them! To boot, if you end up using them through Drive-Time, when you are waiting on your answer and the sales person tells you to go to their webpage and leave a review...don't do it! I was told they would mail a check within 5-7 business days but only accounting knew the amount and no one could speak to them. I waited several days after the 5-7 business days. I was told that I would be called back, never to receive any call back. I asked who will reimburse for tow fees. They won't reimburse me . I asked for a dealer license plate to stop the tows, they won't do that. Instead I was blamed for not returning calls to them, when they told me that will call me back. We paid our car off at the beginning of February. Here it is halfway through April and still no title. I have called multiple times and have been told that it is in my state BMV's hands. My state BMV has no record of title transfer. I just keep going in circles with these people. I absolutely would NOT recommend them. if I was aware how they financed the cars I would not have bought my vehicle. their financing language make sure you read. when you pay off a vehicle it's based on when they process it on their sweet time not when it was actually sent. plus you will be responsible for any payment still listed on your account if they did not process your check. I contacted Bridgecrest after I had a blowout from dry rot tires (Carvana) to see if I could skip a payment as per their website advertisement. I did this one time with Honda Finance company years ago...no problem there. I needed to buy all new tires and money was tight. This would have helped significantly. I was told "My goal is to keep you current and on the path to owning your vehicle...Did you reach out to the warranty company to see if this is something they can assist with?...a deferment is not a option we are able to offer at this time as we are not able to defer future due dates...It is listed as it may be a an assistance that can be offered if one does qualify for it at that time. Typically deferments are reserved for those more higher in delinquency where it may be harder to come back from or nearing the recovery stage which neither applies to you at this time." So, what he was saying is because I had made all my payments on time, and I wasn't behind on any of them, they could not assist me. I had to get behind first and late on a payment and probably accrue late payment fees:( His last statement to me was "...if it was something that I could offer I would have, especially with you doing your due diligence on the matter." So because I was contacting ahead of time and not after a late payment...and being responsible...they could not assist me. Refinanced my loan with my credit Union. So thankful i don't have to deal with this company. I logged into the app to see if my payoff was received. The car no longer shows on the app. No text, emails or phone calls like i receive if my payments due. I called and only thing they confirmed was my pay off was received and the system automatically removes the car from the app. I will receive a confirmation email in 10 business days. I sent in the paperwork, and they claimed it never arrived, even though I had paperwork showing that the fax went through from the DMV. I called, and the representative gave me the wrong information, so I sent in the information a second time (not knowing the info was wrong). Three weeks later, I received an email saying they had denied my request and that the info they had told me to use was wrong. After a phone call to another representative, I sent in a 3rd request (precisely the same as the first, which was correct), and it took them a week to acknowledge they received it, and every check-in on progress was a waste of time. Their representatives were no help and refused to try. They refuse to acknowledge any mistakes, even when presented with evidence. Avoid them at all costs. read more

Extremely predatory. Very high interest rates. I was attempting to start a voluntary repo for a vehicle that I have paid over $10k for and 80% of those fees have all went to the daily interest that is building. The principal has barely moved and their response is to pay more money. One of their reps lied and marked an answer on a questionnaire in a way that I did not answer. It felt super shady, I cancelled, and currently looking to sell locally. I'd rather walk through fire with nails embedded in my feet before I give this company another cent. Don't do it. I filed a previous BBB claim against the company and requested directly over the phone that they not contact me again. Despite this, they called and left a voicemail asking to call them back. On the 15th Bridgecrest called requesting the second payment. They added a second payment to the account without my knowledge. What a nightmare it has been dealing with this loan acceptance company. I was purchasing a Car via Carvana and sought a loan for third of cost. I however returned the vehicle within the seven day notice period back to Carvana as per their policy that it can be returned and purchase cancelled. However Bridgecrest refuses to cancel the loan or backout the loan despite being told by Carvana customer service that I no longer have this car and that loan should be considered null and void as returned under their guarantee period and I do not owe anything to dealer Carvana. No one seems to be able to assist in reviewing this matter at Bridgecrest and despite internal tickets being sent to correct and cancel to Bridgecrest by Carvana and numerous calls from their customer service representative to explain it was a simple null and void, they claim installment payment is due and refuse to cancel loan on purchase that is cancelled and a vehicle not in my possession.. I have exhausted all efforts and seeking legal redress at this point. read more

I bought a car through Carvana. The finance company they use is Bridgecrest. I was rear-ended on 12/26/23 and the car was deemed a total loss on 01/19/24. I contacted Bridgecrest to start the process including the GAP claim and that is when all the trouble started. Bridgecrest refused to start any work until they received a settlement check. Then, they took forever to process that and apply it to my account. They didn't submit any documents to the GAP TPA, which they assign, and I got by default (Ally). Ally kept asking me for information/docs because Bridgecrest wouldn't respond. Some of the items I didn't have because they went from the offender's insurance company directly to Bridgecrest. After a couple of months, Ally finally processed the GAP check and sent it to Bridgecrest on 03/20. I called Bridgecrest to get an update on 3/27 and was told it will be ANOTHER 4-6 weeks before my claim is reviewed or processed. Each time I call Bridgecrest I get a different story depending on the CS rep, but I was told repeatedly that the Total Loss Dept isn't customer facing. They don't let you talk to anyone that is working on claims. Long story short, I have made three additional car payments on a car that was totaled, and I'm scheduled for a fourth payment on 4/19. I'm currently stuck paying two car notes. I couldn't refinance my second car because it shows that I have two outstanding car loans. It's still on record with the DMV that the totaled car is in my name, so I don't know what will happen when I try to renew my actual car tag. I cannot afford to and should not have to make double car payments. Bridgecrest seems to be floating (other people's) money. I also don't want my credit score impacted. If I don't continue to make the payments, they may try to "repossess" the totaled car or some other unlawful practice to avoid refunding me and settling this contract. I learned a valuable but painful lesson. Next time, I'll do more research on the finance company before agreeing to the loan. read more
