They say there is a sucker born every minute. Unfortunately for Future Auto, that sucker isnt me. What a horrible experience with these dealers who reach out to buy your car when a KBB instant offer quote goes out. Ladies, I would highly recommend avoiding this place altogether, especially if you aren't familiar with how this car hustle works. Alex devalued my vehicle citing "possible frame damage" because they're was a small gap in between the door and the panel. To be fair, there was no accident or damage report on the vehicle so it could rase the concern that maybe some work was done on the DL. I get that but using it to devalue the car was a tactic I was able to see through. I should also mention that he did a search for cars with the same year, make, model and mileage as my car to show me what the average sale price was. Of course, all the cars he showed me were in the 13k range because, I believe he tailored to searchbto show that specific price. When I did the same search before and after going to Future, the prices in our area were between 18k and $21,999. However, I had that car for 5 years so I know there wasn't anything wrong. A little light scratch here and there that coukd have been buffed out and some light fading on the window trims. Thats it. All of which would have been less than $200 to fix on my own so Im sure it would be much less for them. Anyway, he does his song and dance of pointing out stuff, and acting like he isnt all that interested while simultaneously pushing for the deal. His offer came in at 13k pending an inspection with the dealerships affiliated body shop. I said Id think about it and left. I went straight to the very reputable and trusted dealership where I bought the car. They have been in business for 77 years, and I had a full inspection for the body, the engine, all electrical. I also had the service records pulled as this car, when I bought it, was 2 yrs old and a service vehicle for the dealership. Completely clean. The gap? A simple hinge issue. I took the car to 3 other places. 2 out of these 3 gave me offers that exceeded Future Auto by several thousand dollars. I totally forgot that I had a so-so experience here in 2010 because, well, that was sixteen years ago. Going out on a limb and guessing that most of the people involved with this business are "new" now, and it shows. Popped in last weekend to take a look at a '14 Porsche 911 4S cabrio, and had a much better experience than I (must've) had back during the 2010s, LOL. The lot was maintained really well, the employees were attentive but not pushy, the car really was beautiful and clearly their techs made certain it was 100% before putting it on the lot. I also appreciated that they weren't high-pressure. Vince reached out several days (not hours) later to check in with me, and when my answer was "not this one, but I'll check in later" he accepted that graciously without trying any Jedi mind tricks. As such, I'll make every attempt to loop back with them when they have a Targa in stock (I've decided that's what I want instead of a cabrio), and do business with them. I was told that $500, (they kept my money) would go to the DMV as of today's date the DMV said that there was NEVER a registration filed naming me as the owner of the vehicle! I have this in writing from the DMV They never paid $509 to the California DMV for anything associated with me owing this vehicle and the vehicle was NEVER registered in my name. I had a very troubling experience with Future Auto Sales in Glendale that caused me to completely change my mind about the purchase. I understood and agreed that the Right to Cancel contract fee was $500, and I was prepared to pay that upfront as required. However, I was also required to pay an additional $250 upfront in cash as a "restocking fee." The manager specifically told me this payment was a requirement in order for me to exercise my right to purchase the cancellation agreement. This requirement was not clearly disclosed beforehand, and it raised serious concerns for me about how the cancellation process was being handled. Based on these concerns, I decided to return the vehicle. When I requested that the full $750 be returned, I was questioned about why I was returning the vehicle and was told by the manager that not wanting the vehicle was not a valid reason, despite my understanding that the cancellation agreement allows a buyer to cancel within the permitted period. I recently inquired about a 2012 Ferrari FF they had listed for sale. Having purchased multiple supercars and luxury vehicles over the years, I can confidently say this was one of the most unusual and unprofessional buying experiences I've encountered. My initial conversation was with Vincent, who provided some basic information about the vehicle. After requesting additional photos and videos, I received no response for approximately a week. I had already started looking at others cars and out of the blue, Vincent re-engaged the conversation and finally provided media request the following day. After reviewing the vehicle, I submitted an offer. He responded with a different price and stated he would continue working on it. Over the next two days he called me to tell me he was still working on it and the second day I received no updates. On the 3rd day, I called him and with no answer, I contacted the dealership and asked to speak with a manager. I was assured that either the manager or Vincent would call me back shortly. Vincent returned my call within a few minutes of speaking to the manager, and during our conversation I mentioned that I had spoken with Ferrari dealerships and learned the vehicle had reportedly not been serviced at a Ferrari service center in approximately five years. Rather than addressing that concern directly, the comment was brushed aside, he questioned my source of information and ultimately dismissed my concern. I then asked a simple question: whether the dealership was genuinely interested in selling the vehicle, given the lack of communication and overall experience. Instead of addressing the concern, Vincent responded in a condescending manner, suggesting I was "having a bad day," despite the fact that I remained respectful throughout the entire process. What surprised me most is that this experience involved a vehicle priced around $130,000. After this interaction, it's easier to understand why this Ferrari has reportedly remained on the market for over a year. Their lack of knowledge on the car and customer service is appalling. There are many reputable dealerships that understand how to properly communicate with and assist serious buyers. I bought a work van from this place in July. According to the CarFax, they had it for 3-4 months and put over a thousand miles on the car. I came, test drove on regular streets, and other than a cable hanging under the bumper, all was good. They took the van to their sister company Future Auto Body, fixed the cable issue and all was good... until less than 24 hours later when I drove the van on the freeway and the check engine light came on. When I reached out to the sales manager he told me to bring it to the auto body, I did so. Then over 3 weeks of non stop time wasting occurred. I brought it back to their shop 3 times after purchasing this van and they had it for at least a week and half. First they claimed they drove it and had to "reset the transmission", when that didn't work they had to bring in some specialist to reset with a computer, when that didn't work they said the entire torque converter has to be replaced. The owner said to give him two weeks to source a cheaper torque converter replacement and that he would help with the cost of labor to install it. But here we are almost 7 weeks later and crickets... I find it extremely had to believe that they knew nothing about the torque converter issue before I bought it, and instead of fixing the issue they kept resetting the check engine light until some sucker like me bought it. Also, to the owner of both Future Auto Sales and Auto Body, don't get aggressive with your clients because they call you "bro". Honestly get over yourself, and conduct yourself professionally. I would have never left this review if you didn't hold up your promise and help me out. In life you need to honor your word, not take advantage of people. read more
