They took excellent care of my previous German Shepherd and tried everything they could to save his life when he had an infection in his leg. They were very gentle and respectful when he passed. Bridgemill Animal Hospital just wants you to leave as soon as possible and up-charge you as much as they can. They don't take preventative measures when caring for your pet. Actually, saying they care for your pet is an understatement. My cat, Sunshine has stage 2 kidney disease, which I recently found out in 2023 after taking her to a vet in California after I had been taking her to the Bridgemill Animal Hospital for 14 years. For the past four years, my cat has been suffering from UTIs, which is a significant sign of chronic kidney disease that I just discovered, thanks to the vets at the animal hospital in California. All the Bridgemill Animal Hospital would do when my cat had a UTI was give her an antibiotic injection and push me to give her what they'd call a "flush" to help her clear up her system, which would total $400 every time. When I brought her to California, the vet here gave me medicine to give her daily and recommended a food change to a hydrolyzed protein-based pet food that is easier on her kidneys, which has been helping. They also routinely test her blood and urine to ensure her system functions correctly. The animal hospital in California won't charge me for the routine visits either because I don't need consultations. They take action and know exactly what my cat needs. I've been saving money and time and receiving preventative care at the California location. So, thanks to Bridgemill Animal Hospital, my cat has this disease that could've been prevented with proper treatment from the beginning, and now my cat has been suffering from irreversible damage to her kidneys. Please consider your pet's long-term health by never bringing them here. Update: I added my cat's name since the customer service rep said they could find me under their system so they wouldn't look bad. Sunshine, orange, female, and 15 years old. Last name starts with a P. NEW update: The customer service rep who responded to this same review on Google is pretending like they have never spoke to my vet here in California when they did. And they told my vet in Cali that Sunshine had a high white blood cell count in her bloodstream, which if they knew how to do their jobs they would know that a high amount of white blood cells in a cat's bloodstream means there's bacteria in their blood that their kidneys are not able to fight off. Therefore, they would have ran diagnostics on their kidneys, which clearly they did not. It's concerning that after the amount of UTIs Sunshine was having, this vet never once thought, "hmm, let's check her kidney function." Instead they just gave her a generic antibiotic shot to clear the bacteria and never even ran tests on the bacteria itself to identify what bacteria it was and which specific antibiotics to administer, like my vet in California has done. And that's funny that you guys are saying the last diagnostics you guys ran on her were in March of 2022. If I kept bringing her in for UTIs until 2023 why wouldn't there be more diagnostics ran on her if the problem wasn't going away??? Don't let these people gaslight you. Also, if I have been taking Sunshine to Bridgemill Animal Hospital up until 2023 for UTIs, then took her to an animal hospital in California the SAME year in 2023, how would she have gone from "normal" kidney function, according to Bridgemill, to STAGE 2 chronic kidney disease????? Where was stage 1 you may ask? It was obviously formed between early 2022 to late 2023 when they stopped running diagnostics because they were lazy! Which has been my entire point of this post is that they do not take preventative care for your pets and do not try to actually fix the problem. And to this customer service rep: Go ahead and keep responding to my posts on here and Google and trying to make me sound like I don't know what I'm talking about. You guys were lazy and it's more admirable to just admit that, than lie to save face. It's also interesting how all of these positive reviews are about the care this animal hospital has administered to dogs and not cats. Seems like they're not educated on cat healthcare. read more

She understands that my Daisy has limited vision and hearing so she understands small, slow handling is a must so Daisy does not get scared. read more

We love, love, LOVE this veterinary group!! From when you first walk in - friendliest techs and front office staff. Dr. Alvey is the BEST vet I've met in years!!! What a blessing to find this place. My dog has tumors in his tummy and has seizures. They CARE and will work with you on payments. This staff is so attentive and sincere, I would highly recommend them for your pet's needs. Incredibly knowledgeable and trustworthy, too. Most thorough exams, ever. They also have Dr. Charlie for chiropractic needs-he's the best and knows his stuff!! I am a new resident in the area and was seeking a good vet/groomer for my dog Cookie. I am glad I made the choice to bring her to your facility. I had a great experience from the front desk, to the groomers, to the meeting with the vet ( Dr Jonathan) and also to a woman named Crystal who was my dogs technician today. Everyone was extremely informative, friendly and my dog as well as myself felt very good about choosing them as my dogs care givers and new found friends. The waiting area & offices were very clean! Do not recommend. Better customer service can be found anywhere else. My labradoodle developed an ear infection immediately following grooming. Vet routinely misbooked appointments, and customer service became a thing of the past. When I requested a call from practice leadership, the requests were ignored. Communication was lackluster. Our senior dog would wet in the car on the 2 mile trip home after leaving the groomer because she wasn't take out while there for grooming appointments. It took over a month to get radiograph images from the vet so we could take our senior dog to another vet. Overall, better service can be found anywhere else. The positive is that the doctors are knowledgeable. read more

I used to take my pups here pretty frequently. It was always iffy if the girls up front were going to be friendly or not. This past weekend I made an appointment to board my dogs on a Saturday and pickup the following day. They were ADAMANT I make sure to pick them up between 3:30-4 because that's their only time frame on Sundays to get them. Not once did she mention their Saturday hours - which they close at noon. FIVE minutes before noon I get a phone call asking if I'm still boarding because they're closing. I had no idea they closed at noon. I pleaded they wait 15 minutes for me. Their response? "The doctor doesn't want to pay any employees to stay an extra 15 minutes." Are you kidding me? FIFTEEN minutes. I even offered to pay. The woman was extremely rude. So, I called the Pet Hotel and they were so accommodating, so understanding and didn't hesitate for a second to help me out. I recommend them 1000%. read more

I boarded my dog there several times over the last few years and the last time he cut his paw trying to get out the caged run. They called me to tell me about the incident and that it would be over $900. I called my vet, who use to be my vet at Bridgemill Animal Hospital, has since opened her own practice and I asked if that sounded reasonable, it wasn't, she asked if I could get him to her and she stitched him up and the bill was around $550. But that's not why I'm writing this review !!! I called the other day to book my dog again for Christmas and was trying to upgrade him to the luxury suite which has a camera in the room. After being put on hold, for what I thought was checking availability, another lady claiming she was the supervisor or something similar, I was told my dog wasn't welcomed back!!! So I asked why. She claimed she told me before I left last time. So I stated is this because my dog hurt himself on your property and you tried to rip me off so I took my dog elsewhere?? She just say we can't board him anymore. My previous dog, a boxer, went there for a few years and we never met the owner/ head Vet and boxer owner, I always thought that was strange that a small community vet didn't take the time ever to met the people who helped pay the bills. read more

The veterinarians and staff of Bridgemill Animal Hospital are a rare find. They have taken in my dogs Piper and Phoebe as patients with extraordinary care. Dr. Jonathan took Phoebe in right before they closed as my previous vet would not. This saved her life and I am forever grateful. Dr. Jonathan took the time to make sure I understood what procedures were being done and why. He also took the time to spend one on one time with me to explain any medications that Phoebe needed and what to expect during her recovery. It meant so much to me that he did this for Phoebe. Brit and Nikki were also a major part of this time and Nikki gave me a big hug during this stressful time. This proved to me that they are not only great with their patients, but also with the patient's owners. Both of my fur babies got to see Dr. Alvey and Nikki on 06/16/2018 and he was awesome with them. It was a routine exam and I again was just amazed by the genuine care that he and Nikki had for the staff. I do not want to forget Alyssa at the front desk either. Alyssa is always making sure that these two are doing great and is always patient with me when I call asking questions. I moved both Piper and Phoebe into the care of Bridgemill Animal Hospital for all of their veterinary care needs after Phoebe's scare, and I am so happy that I did. I would not take my fur babies anywhere else. I am happy beyond words at this veterinary clinic and would recommend this staff to anyone looking for a veterinary facility with a genuine staff of amazing people!! We have called this place and gotten our sick kitten in within 2 hours of calling. They are very helpful, very nice, and pretty quick too. I've never waited more than 10 minutes in the waiting area. I have a plethora of barn cats due to osmosis (and the property owner feeding the female cat that was loose with her body) and Dr. Jennings is so understanding. I'll bring one in knowing they have an abscess before it festers and she believes and trusts that I'm right, does her checks and finds the issue then gives treatment. Wouldn't recommend boarding your pet here! We left our dog for two days dropping him off Friday afternoon and picked him up on Sunday afternoon. The girl hands him to my wife with both eyes almost swollen shut and puss dripping from his eyes. My wife asked her what happened and she said she didn't know and that he was fine earlier. My wife then asked her to call the vet because he needed immediate care so she calls someone and said just bring him back in the morning. First I can't believe that a professional caring for your pet would hand them over looking like that and not say something. We would of been much more understanding if she had noticed informed the vet and made arrangements for immediate care. We had to find an after hours vet on our own. read more

I NO LONGER TRUST THIS VET!!! As a mother to two Boxer dogs, I had been a patron of this veterinary clinic for over 8 years. I started taking my oldest Boxer there as a puppy 8yrs ago. Dr Alvey had always been very thorough and kind as we had a number of surgeries performed there to remove various growths, some of which were cancerous. But, when I returned to have a growth on her lip looked at, a new vet with the practice saw us. Having listened to Dr Alvey's advice on Boxer lumps and bumps... we wanted to have this growth removed ASAP. Dr Jennings, the new vet, said that we should try a topical antibiotic to see if the growth decreased in size. Over the course of the next week to two weeks a mass under my dog's chin appeared. So, we took her back in.. hoping to get the issue resolved. Dr Jennings then said that we would need to do oral antibiotics and steroids to reduce the size of the lip growth. After 2 wks of this course of therapy... the size did decrease minimally and surgery was scheduled. But after 3 days off antibiotics and steroids, the lump in her neck was back and had tripled in size. I just walked in the office one morning, a couple days prior to scheduled surgery, determined to have Dr Alvey look at my dog. But, what I got was a diagnosis of lymphoma from Dr Jennings after a chest xray and brief exam. Needless to say, her delivery of the news left much to be desired. She showed me places on the xrays that she believed were metastatic disease and would ultimately lead to her death. I was given two weeks of steroids to "keep her comfortable" and that was that. Although I waited for quite a long time, Dr Alvey never set foot in the room to confirm the diagnosis, to speak to me about the situation, or just to provide some comfort to a long time customer. I immediately took my dog to see Dr Dawn Mason at Harmony Animal Hospital and was greeted sympathetically as she reviewed the xrays from Bridgemill Animal Hospital. She drew some fluid from the mass and looked for lymph node cells on microscope, determining that the mass was a lymph node that could be cancerous or could just be reactive to the growth on her lip. She did not agree that the chest Xray showed lymphoma. Long story short, Dr Mason was absolutely tender and caring and open to just removing the growth on my baby's lip to see what happened with the node under her chin. Here we are just a few short days after surgery and my Boxer is doing amazing. The lymph node has more than halved in size on antibiotics and Dr Mason thinks that it may just have been reacting to the lip growth. My concern with Bridgemill Animal Hospital is this... if I had left the growth on her lip and just gone home with my head held low and just set about "keeping her comfortable", my Boxer baby would likely have died. But, as it looks now, she is on the road to recovery and my family has a new vet!! So if you also view your pet as a family member, make sure you get QUALITY care form a CARING vet! read more

DO NOT LET COURTNEY GROOM YOUR DOG. THE VETS THERE ARE GREAT. Had a ridiculously bad cut on our dog. Everybody asked what happened, THAT BAD! Love the people here (vet side) so gave them another shot but came in with our dog to literally state word-for-word instruction on what NOT to cut on our dog. Even brought pictures to show Courtney. She listened, acknowledged she wouldn't, then proceeded to do EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT I SAID. CUT EVERY BIT OFF HER HAIR ABOVE HER EYES OFF. One snip, I could have done that. Last time she cut her paws with two snips creating a ridiculous point she appeared to be walking on. The girl is ruining the name of the wonderful vets there. When I asked her "Why did you do the opposite of what I asked specifically?" She responded, "Well her hair was too long, so I cut it." I told her I was the customer and spent my time this morning showing her pictures and stating word for word what I wanted. DO NOT GET GROOMED THERE UNTIL THEY USE SOMEONE OTHER THAN COURTNEY. Just Thank God she's not a NURSE to people!!! read more
