I was in the waiting room for less than 5 minutes before all of us were called to get help. Nurse practitioner looked at my arm and got me an ice pack for my knee. The doctor came by briefly to talk to me about my pain. X-ray tech came and took X-rays. We waited about 15 minutes before the doctor came and put a splint on. I'm impressed how quickly I was in and out. They referred me to an orthopedist and gave me some pain meds. Yay Touro!

The team at Touro Birth Center is known for their expertise, compassion, and commitment to providing personalized care to each patient. I visited the birthing center early on in my pregnancy to ensure the facility met my needs of a having a calming birthing atmosphere. Touro offers just that, a comfortable and home-like environment. I couldn't have been happier with the care I received from midwives(Heather, Sarah, Tisha), nurses (Samantha,Erin) and OB Dr. Tara Morse. I couldn't have asked for a more skilled, compassionate, and supportive team to deliver my baby. The center is equipped with advanced technology and amenities/resources(spacious single rooms, birthing tubs, peanut/exercise balls, postpartum essentials, individual mom and baby nurses, doula support, lactation consultants). The Touro Birth Center also emphasizes family-centered care, encouraging the involvement of partners and loved ones in the birthing process which was comforting to me. I am sure there were tons of germs in the room. I can't be the only one that noticed these things. People come to the emergency with all kinds of illnesses and diseases. I saw a woman with 3 kids in the waiting room with some kind of respiratory illness that seemed to be contagious as all of them were sick, I am glad we got a room before that family came in, otherwise my husband and myself might have caught what they have. they should have been taken to a room when they arrived so they could not spread what they had. This is the closest ER to our house. If there is a next time we will go the Ochsner.

We had to reschedule for the following month. The clinic called and rescheduled for the month of March. They ended up calling us and rescheduled us for April because of Covid. When my husband and I physically got to the office it was closed. No one was answering the phones and no one was there to unlock the doors. We decided that since Covid was causing issues we would postpone the procedure until it slowed down. We rescheduled to come back in in March 2021. My husbands military training was extended and we scheduled to come back in April. The day before our appointment the clinic called and said we needed to find a new doctor and that they were not willing to work with us because we rescheduled too many times. We had to change appointment times twice and the rest was on them. It's a shame they waited until the day before the appointment to notify us that they wouldn't see him. We waited another month for the April appointment. We notified Tricare about the issue and all our friends, family, and military families about the treatment and they won't be going there either.
