Well what can I say, this was probably one of the best experiences I've ever had with a company! I mean from the very beginning I could tell that they were just honest people trying to give me the best price! It's crazy I got different quotes that were three to six times higher than what Tabitha and Matt and their team were offering me. It's like they want to give you a great deal and make you feel good that pasta you would spread word of them but they don't require. But here we are, I have to spread word of them because they were absolutely amazing especially because this project was for my mom's house and I really wanted to make it look good. Tabitha was so responsive, and the team that came and did the install were so professional, they were so clean, just all around an amazing company. Needed carpet for 4 bedrooms, 2 flights of stairs and a large family room. Went into the store today and we were completely ignored. We wandered around the store for over 20 minutes and no one asked if we needed help. The gentleman in the store saw us walking around and went into the back an never came out. We left and went to another carpet store. Unfortunate, as they were recommended to us by a friend. Poor customer service. read more

A GOOD PLACE TO START! Flooring is a super competitive industry so before you even venture into a store, do your research and have an idea of what you want and what you want to spend. Personally, my search is simple because I am going to get what I want without compromising and I am willing to do the work to get a great price without sacrificing quality. The worst thing you can do is rush the process or not have a clear direction. Know that there is always a sale, special or room to negotiate. Finding the right flooring takes time and it is exhausting! I was headed out to one of the larger flooring stores but had to change my mind at the last minute and I am glad I did. This store is relatively small but packed to the gills with a variety of materials. I have been looking for flooring material and love the function of the luxury vinyl but had not found anything attractive enough for the main floor. I wanted to go with porcelain but due to the hours I tend to spend standing in the kitchen, it just isn't practical. So, I need something that is warm, comfortable for standing, durable and attractive. Enter Andura which is a luxury vinyl that has everything I am looking for and is one of the new products I discovered at Bridgeport Carpets. It looks so good and while they have products that replicate stone, they have some that are very stable with little variance, my personal choice. Now, the size of this store is good and bad. It's good because it provides a very intimate experience and you are not walking all over the place. The rooms are small and compact. This becomes a problem when you want to fully experience the product by placing it on the floor and walking on it. You can actually pull the items and sample them but then things feel a bit crowded and cluttered. I like to spread out so I can take pictures and make notes so that I can come back and do additional research. Once I see the product in the store, I like being able to explore the manufacturer's website to see additional items and to see the items I like reflected on an actual floor via the virtual decorator. Michelle was very helpful during our visit because she was great with providing direction, making suggestions and answering our questions. This store is a great place to start if you want to explore a variety of options, (engineered wood, vinyl, carpet, wood, runners etc) and want to consult one-on-one. Just know that this store is only open from 10 am until 2 pm on Saturdays. read more

We recently re-did our upstairs carpets with these guys. Loved every second of working with them -- from the measuring and estimate, to the install and followup. They're professional, fair, and nicely priced for the quality of flooring you get. I don't know about hardwoods and tile or whatnot with them since we only did carpet, but I definitely recommend them if you're OTP looking for a new flooring company! They have a great showroom, so make sure you drop in if you're in the market. Ask for Sue. She helped us and was great! read more

Bridgeport Carpets refinished the hardwood floors throughout our house and repaired one area of the hardwood floors where there was water damage. They worked closely with my wife and I and were able to schedule the vast bulk of the work to be completed while we were out of town on vacation. They demonstrated great care when moving our furniture out of the house and returning it to each room at the conclusion of the job. The quality of the work was top notch and the house was kept quite clean given the nature of the job (sanding all of the floors). The crew and supervisor were very pleasant, professional gentleman who were a pleasure to work with. We are very pleased and are happy to recommend Bridgeport Carpets. read more

Do not order carpeting here!!!!! I ordered carpet for my upstairs with measurements I gave them from a professional installer. The store proceeded to increase the amount thereby leaving me with $1400 of unnecessary carpet and padding. They are unwilling to accept any fault or do anything to make good on this problem. Bridgeport Carpets completed a hardwood refinishing job for me recently. The good news is that the refinished floors look good. The reason for my low rating is that the customer service surrounding the job was unsatisfactory. Communication between the install team and management was apparently non-existent, resulting in my furniture not being replaced on time (with no notice to me) and unexpected entry into my home at 8:30 pm. The job site was left with stray nails, cigarette butts, and sawdust on top of my flowerbed. My furnishings were not handled with care. I had used this company before with success for carpeting. Unfortunately, this experience with refinishing was less than satisfactory. read more

I purchased carpet for my home here and was persuaded to buy an accent carpet for my stairs to make a statement. I was unsure of this carpet as it looked like it would not wear well but was assured they use this on stairs all the time and it lasts 10 years. 1.5 years later the carpet was 'blossoming' meaning the fibers were separating in the areas where we stepped and it was a whitish color. I called them and the owner came out and said it was a residue and needed to be cleaned. I had just cleaned it 3 mos prior to his visit. Additionally there are only 2 people in our home and we rarely wear shoes. I had it cleaned again by zerores who cleaned it the first time. I must say they were very kind and understanding and cleaned the stairs again for free. They assured me the problem was the carpet. I called Bridgeport again and they agreed to look into it w/the manufacturer and get back to me. They never called me back. I had to keep following up with them. The manuf would not cover the problem, so I had to strongly urge them to provide a solution. The solution was for me to buy another carpet and they would deduct the previous carpet/installation. I asked if I would be paying for just the carpet as I didn't think I should have to pay for installation again. They said yes. In the end I had to pay for installation again. I understand that carpet on stairs is typically not guaranteed but you should stand behind the promises of your salespeople. read more

We went to this place because our contractor who was finishing our basement recommended it. It was a mistake. We had carpet installed in 3 rooms of our newly finished basement. Two of the 3 rooms were installed well. The 3rd room was totally damaged. The baseboards were scratched and dented in various places, the door's paint got scratched off, the same door had a big dent in it. In one of the other rooms there were adhesive drops on the carpet. Someone from Bridgeport came out to try to fix the damages. He basically said it looked like fresh paint and that's why there were scratches all over the baseboard. Well, why wasn't the other rooms scratched up too? I believe it was the inexperience kid that installed the carpet for that room. It's been a few months since the installation and the adhesive that was supposedly removed is now darker on the light carpet. The repairs made were not good enough (I can still see the dents and scratches on the wood door and baseboards), but I don't want to deal with this company anymore.
