We were very picky and nervous to spend the money for a Quartz countertop so there were a lot of back & forths but Kamila was always there to answer our questions. She even set us up with suppliers to go see the pieces in person. (one actually came to meet us on a Saturday morning early). When the time came to install, the guys did a really good job. I was trying to use a tile place that was within a mile from my home as I thought it would be so easy. However...it turned out to be a nightmare that is not worth explaining. One day I looked on the internet and found several companies that I decided to try. Legacy was the very first one we went to. I spoke to a young girl by the name of Val. She was young but...she was so professional and so knowledgeable about the kinds of counters that I was looking at. We walked out of legacy and I was so impressed with Val that we didn't look at the other places I had listed. I was 100% happy with the service the company gave me. I liked working with Legacy because they were very flexible with my project. I had the worst luck with contractors doing work on my house and Legacy was the only place that did not give me too much to worry about at the time. The main cause for the three star rating was when it actually came time to getting my countertops installed. After the guys came and installed, they had smashed the edge of my island in the truck and had done an extremely poor job with the edges of the marble near my sink. The lady I was working with did email and tell me that they could not do the edge I wanted, but they had a year to tell me that while I was waiting to get the kitchen situation figured out. Now finally after a year when we are ready to start the work they say they cannot cut the edge? She eventually said that they could do it but there will be "microchipping". I said that after wanting that particular cut for a year I am OKAY with microchipping. But this was NOT microchipping. These were big dents in the marble and the weird thing was that every edge on the other sides of the kitchen were perfectly smooth except for the edge near the sink which just makes it look like they were cutting it carelessly. Not only did the edge have dents, my island edge was smashed.... But there is a seam in the middle of my sink, and on each side there were two deep cracks on both slabs... When I called the owner she said that marble is supposed to be a soft material, but honestly I have had marble before. I understand that marble is softer than other materials but if I cook in my kitchen and crack the marble that is on me. A company should not be installing brand new countertops that cracked, smashed, and dented was the point that I was trying to make. Glass is also a soft material but no one would install a cracked window right??? They did come and fix the issues right away. They filled in the smashed edge of the island and did a good job with it but a few weeks after the epoxy melted off and they had to come back a second time to re-epoxy the island edge. Because of the two cracks on each side of the seam they had to redo that section and reinstalled a smoothly finished edge that had no dents this time. I guess they were more careful with it this time around. They also made me purchase 4 slabs but only used 3, because they messed up the sink section they eventually had to use the 4th slab. I do wonder what was going to happen with the 4th slab that I paid for otherwise. They only used 3 so it is not like they cut and used a portion of the 4th so it is basically one untouched full slab that I paid for because they over estimated, but eventually had to use because they messed up. Overall the customer service was good, but the work was poorly executed. They did come and fix all of the mistakes but those mistakes should not have happened to begin with. They also scratched my brand new gold sink so I had to order another one but they reimbursed me for that. Legacy had to come back a third time as the epoxy for the smashed edge melted off again and the third time they did a horrible job fixing it. The owner said "The reason you can still see the repair is because the epoxy(glue) that we use for the repair doesn't have the same shine as the stone. It can never match 100% The repair the installers did looks pretty good and in the realistic expectations , considering the type of stone. As I can see on the pictures it kinds of blends with the stone. Even though travertine is a gorgeous material it will aways require you to take extra careful of it." I do not care about the shine, I am telling him that there is no shape to the fix this time and it looks like a blunt edge. I understand that them having to come back to my house is a hassle but if they fixed it right the first time none of this would have happened. Ultimately the blame goes to the customer for having "high expectations". read more

We had kitchen countertops replaced with quartz and subway tile backsplash replacing old tiles. Their measurements up front were done with a laser system and turned out to be very accurate when the quart pieces arrived. We insisted on keeping our original drop in sink vs. the stainless undermount they proposed. We kept the sink faucets as well, so the quartz didn't need holes cut for them. After agreeing on their quote the entire process took 4 consecutive half days, and started 3 days after signing. Note that all the crew is Brazilian with varying degrees of English proficiency, but that caused us no problems. Just a matter of making sure we were all in agreement when questions arose. Day 1a - A workman showed up a day early without notice to remove the old backsplash tiles and replace the drywall they were mounted on. A bit of a surprise but didn't cause any problems for us. Day 1 - The crew arrived to remove our cooktop and sink as well as demolish the old countertops. The quartz pieces were also on a truck the same day, and were installed once the old ones were removed. The main countertop was in two pieces, and as we requested the seam was in the center of the sink, so that once the sink was in it's almost invisible. By afternoon the epoxy between the two pieces was hard, and the crew could cut out the holes for both the sink and cooktop. Day 2 - The first crew arrived to replace the cooktop and sink and hook everything up. We were advised to not use the sink for 4 hours to allow the silicone seal to set. In the end we were without use of stove and sink for about 36 hours. Day 3 - Tile crew arrived to install the backsplash. We provided the tile. I had neglected to research and should have gotten some bullnose tiles to finish the edges that were not bordering on a cabinet, but in the end we painted the unglazed edges where visible. Day 4 - Tile guys returned to grout the backsplash once the mastic had set overnight. Wife is very happy with the result. Total job cost ~$6600 all in. read more

It was a wonderful experience with elegant results. #kitchenremodel #countertops #remodel #quartzite I began looking for a special counter top for a big project with Legacy Granite because of their reviews on Yelp. The search took about 3-4 months. I started my research on Houzz. I've always been in love with the look of marble, but, I ended with super white quartzite, a material I had never heard of. The salesperson, Louiny, educated me on the merits and deficits of the different marble slabs. I needed a hard material for the top because of the heavy use I intended to put it through. She then introduced me to quartzite. It was more beautiful than the marble and in fact, I thought it was aged marble. I went back to Houzz to gain more knowledge of this material, I found that it is highly desirable and hard to come by. Legacy Granite gave me samples of three different types of marble and one piece of quartzite. The quartzite was harder and more resistant to stains than any of the marble samples I tested. Once I was confident of my selection, I had to place an order for it because there wasn't enough on hand of the same lot. The counter top measurements came out to 90 square feet; approximately 3 slabs were needed. Shortly thereafter, they received a larger shipment, all the same lot, and asked me to come hand pick the ones I wanted. When it was time to cut the counter top pattern, they had me there to participate. They spent hours placing the patterns on the slabs to ensure there were as few seams as possible and that I was happy with the overall layout. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my counter tops. The thing about Legacy that I valued was their advice, opportunity to test materials, and attention to my needs. During and after installation, they kept in close contact to insure I was happy with the job and I am. They were awesome to work with. My sales person, Louiny, and the owner, Pablo, really know their stuff. They were patient, kind, and professional throughout the whole process. It is rare to find a company committed to this level of customer satisfaction. I would do business with them again in a heartbeat. read more

Bad experience with installers and the way it was handled. For whatever reason, the installer cut the holes in the quartz on top of my brand new bathroom sink cabinet. The cutout fell into the cabinet, damaging it in three places. On a second bathroom countertop, they cut the holes too close together, and the countertop had to be entirely redone. Between the first visit, at which these mistakes were made, and the second visit at which the 2nd countertop was replaced, management told the installer that he would have to pay for the damage to the cabinet. So the installer comes to me at the 2nd appointment with wood stain magic markers and wants to try to repair the damage he caused. When I told him a magic marker would not work, he commented to me that he had to pay for the damage and he wanted to know how much I would be asking for. He then commented to me that, "it won't show anyway." What a terribly awkward situation to put a customer in. Either the company should've sent out a different installer or he should've been directed how to handle this issue professionally. You can see from the attached photo that the damage was significant enough to my brand new cabinet that I wanted it professionally and properly repaired-the cutout was hot from the drill and actually melted part of the finish on the cabinet. This same installer then installed the replacement 2nd countertop, which was also messed up. In this replacement countertop, the holes for the faucet were not properly centered behind the sink. I was told that the plumber could adjust the faucets to correct this. However, as my plumber explained, they can only adjust the faucets and handles by maybe an eighth to a quarter of an inch and no more. That, plus the fact that the middle hole was not lined up with the other two and was drilled further back made for faucet placement that appears a bit cockeyed. Unfortunately, the installer is the major part of any granite company. There must be a gazillion granite companies in Atlanta and surrounding cities. I do not recommend Legacy granite. read more

I previously gave Legacy a 5 star rating for the installation of my quartz countertops. The kitchen countertops look awesome. Now, a week later I have two issues. 1. The countertop for the cabinet in my living room was supposed to be Black Pearl granite with a textured finish (leather) I discovered that they had installed a matte finish (honed) instead of the leather finish. This was partially my mistake because I did not independently research the types of finishes. I thought the honed was the textured finish. Therefore, when the honed finish was listed on the contract I thought I was getting the correct one. I was wrong. Make sure you are very certain as to the type of finish you want. Although this only covered 9 sq. feet, they would not replace this for me since I had already signed off on the work. To get it replaced I would have to pay for the granite a second time. 2. Also, I just noticed on their website that they give a 2% discount to seniors, military, etc. They do not offer that information when you are going through the process of contracting for their services. You have to be aware of the discount. Therefore, make sure you ask for the discount so that it shows on the estimate otherwise you do not get it. read more

GRANITE AND QUARTZ COUNTER TOPS This business is located off of Highway 9 and cannot be seen from the street. It is directly across the street from a car wash with a red roof and it sits behind a car repair shop. If you are traveling North from Roswell and get to the CVS on the left you have gone too far. Traveling south from Cumming, it is just past the CVS on the right side of the road. I came here today hoping to see completed kitchen showrooms to provide some inspiration. However, there are no showrooms. Close to the front entrance, they do have their product on display to give you a look and feel of the various counter top edges they offer. Once you pass through the second door, you will enter the workshop where they have a collection of granite and quartz samples as well as sinks. The slabs are labeled and I like the indoor samples because some of them actually had photos of the product after projects were completed. This is what I wanted to see because it is just easier to see how a particular piece is going to look once it has been finished or as it mixes with other colors and materials. I was free to take photos but did not take many because I don't like taking photos when employees are present. It's like being on the phone in the presence of others which I try to avoid as much as possible. As I was leaving, I was offered a couple of the free samples of the products I liked. I really appreciated this because I can better imagine the piece with the flooring, cabinets and other accessories. I can also show my husband the actual piece which will give him a better picture than a photo. They were very accommodating considering I just sort of dropped by to take a look-see. read more

This is my second house I have used Legacy for. I am a real shopper for price and quality and Legacy cannot be beat on either. Others price per sq. ft. may be cheaper but the add-on's for cutting, mounting, sinks, etc. always quoted much higher than Legacy. My installer (same person I had a few years ago) is very meticulous. Their selection of stone is extensive, no online shopping it's all at the warehouse. I always made and an appointment online (easy process) and never experienced wait times. Although project managing a residential rehab onsite is challenging, doing so from 3,000 miles away has its own degree of difficulty in the process of obtaining bids, selecting materials, and coordinating installation with the other vendors. This was the case with my rental condo and an unexpected renovation needing to be completed within one month. I truly appreciated Neide and her team at Legacy Granite making my job all that much easier in selecting stone for the kitchen and both baths. After securing three bids, it was clear that outstanding customer service sets Legacy apart, as Neide always responded promptly, providing me photos of samples that corresponded with my paint color and new flooring.
