Absolutely horrible customer service. They didn't get back to me until getting a lawyer involved got mentioned. Would rather pay full price for a boat that is quality rather then running around and getting stuff to fix it and work on it. I would like to spend time out on the water, not making calls and fixing the boat and going to shops. When I had called and asked for a solution for the repairs we had payed for ($800) since we couldn't haul the boat up there because it is a 7 hour drive, they just told us to bring it up to them. Me and my father don't have the time to drive 7 hours there and back. Horrible customer service, unprofessional, and don't respect their customers at all. Would never buy a boat from them, and if you're looking for a boat. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

When I purchased my 2022 Tracker Targa 18WT in July of 2023, I noticed rust on the circuit breaker…read more I requested to salesperson Dylan that everything is to working order and rusted cables be replaced. Upon pickup, the circuit breaker and rusted cable were not replaced or even cleaned. I let that go. Brought the boat home cleaned it myself and installed my own batteries. I attempted to charge them up using the factory installed onboard charger and of course it doesn't work. While troubleshooting, I determine that the fuses for the inline fuse holder went bad due to corrosion and pull the ignition cable that prevent me from starting the boat. Dealer figured out the ignition issue for me. The Bimini top and hardware kit ordered from the dealership and Dylan mentioned that it should arrive when i picked up the boat. It did not and made no mention of it. Took about 2 weeks before it finally arrived and based on the invoice, it was ordered a week after he indicated. While installing the gunnel hardware, I noticed that it did not fit properly and notify Dylan. Provided pictures and I had suggested bringing the hardware in but he was insistent that I bring the boat in with all the hardware/accessory as apparently it was too complicated to deal with this over email. It didn't make sense as to do this as it's a 3 hours round trip when the dealer had same models on the floor that it can be verified with. After not agreeing on a solution, I reached out to Dowco customer service. Just based on pictures and parts number alone, they determine it was incorrect parts were sent to the dealership so they replaced it. My advice if you need accessories, purchase it from Dowco directly as their support is much more reliable and responsive. The last one the warranty on my motor. When I purchased my boat/motor, motor qualified for the 5 year warranty and asked Dylan if it can be registered. Almost a year later, I get notices from Mercury marine that it only has a 3 year warranty. Sent Dylan an email and sent 5 request in their contact form/2 phone calls asking for details within a 1 month period before the responsible person could be gotten a hold of. No responses from Dylan or their team. I reached out to Mercury support regarding this and they mentioned that it was suppose to have been done during the time of purchase and the dealership was suppose to provide me paperwork regarding this MPP. With this information and no response to another email request, I finally called. The individual I spoke to indicated that it was a problem getting Ryan to do his job but it was sent over to Ryan so I appreciate his honesty. After 8+ calls all initiate by me within 3 weeks, Ryan finally provided me proof that the 2 warranty extension was submitted which was the certificate number. I called and talk to Mercury customer support and mentioned the dealership provided me this. Mercury told me that the dealership failed to finalize the submission so they applied the certificate number themselves. The warranty reflected immediately. The whole time Ryan was not being consistent as to when it was submitted and insisting it was Mercury. When I asked for proof, he said Mercury will send it to me. When he says he'll call you or email you, he doesn't so you have to make that effort. In total, it took about 2 months after I notified the dealership for this to be resolved. It's disappointing that there wasn't a willingness on Ryan to get this issue resolve with Mercury and I had to do it myself. You should address the issues your customers bring up instead of pushing it off or seeing them as an annoyance. I suppose that's how customers are treated at the dealership. If the salesperson tells you are saving money on taxes as a MN resident, they are lying. Upon registering the boat/trailer in the state of MN, you pay the difference for the whole package including the motor.

Great experience at Hallberg Marine ! Usually buying a vehicle/boat is a miserable experience but…read morethe staff at Hallberg Marine made it fun !!! Adam was very professional and has the patience of Jobe ! I bombarded him with questions and emails. Best part is he knew most of the answers but was very clear if he didn't but always researched the correct answer. Even better he responded to long emails with questions very quickly which was even more amazing given my recent car buying experience! He kept me informed as to the pontoon delivery date and was very flexible on pickup time. He even was able to arrange a bunk trailer for us to bring in our trade in for free! He participated in the boat checkout process and added a lot of helpful comments. The pricing at Hallberg beat the competition by miles! They also gave us more for our trade in than the competition! I am a cynic and usually not very complementary about car/boat dealerships but Hallberg Marine is the best you are going to find!!! If you are in the market for a boat or pontoon you won't be disappointed with Adam and Hallberg Marine !!

Great customer service in the service department!…read more Sales are important but once you buy your boat the service you receive afterwards is far more important. I did not purchase my boat at Hallberg Marine so the fact that their service department has serviced my boat and trailer extremely fast, job well done, and at a fair price is even more of a testament to their service department. I recently had to have my boat in twice in 2 weeks for major issues and Hallberg's service department fixed my boat in record time and it was done right and at a more than fair price. I was surprised both times I saw the bill. They could have charged a lot more. A special shout out to Jimmy in service who is knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. Because of him, I'll continue to go to Hallberg Marine and recommend them to friends and family.

He also instructed me to buy the control box needed and to call him when I had it. After getting the part, I called him schedule a day to bring it in. He said the following week would work. I asked what day works and he said he would call me. No call from him, so I called him and he said he was really swamped and it would have to be the following week. Again I asked for a day and he said he would call me on Friday to let me know the day. Again, no call. So the following Monday, I stopped in. Again he said it would have to be the following week which is now approaching my lake Vermillion vacation time, starting on June 2nd but still ok. I said I needed to have a date set and he said Tuesday, the 26th of May. I arrived on Tuesday with my boat and he told me that he talked it over with his guys and that because my motor is a Suzuki he doesn't want to do the project, due to liabilities, and that I should take it to Hallberg Marine because they know Suzuki. He said if it was a Mercury, Honda, or Yamaha, he could do it. Bottom line: Why didn't he just tell me that from the start? I ended up taking it to Warner's Marine in New Richmond, explained my situation, and Nate Warner fit me in, and they have been great! Again, Dayton should have avoided this mess by not taking on the project in the first place. I rarely write a bad review, but in this case I had to. Now Gardy's has a recent review for future potential customers to see. Also, it looks like reviews aren't posted to their website yet...Hmmmm
