Very first visit with some great friends yesterday afternoon. Popular band to start at 4pm, so we showed up around 3:30pm and they sat us at a table and warned us they would probably want to remove the table by 6pm to increase the space for dancing. Totally OK with this and we were seated right away. Never felt rushed to move and we had a few drinks, a couple appetizers and we all ordered a meal too. The fried pickle chips were fantastic. More panko type breading and not heavy in batter. Piping hot upon arrival. The wings (standard buffalo) were quite tasty too with perfect heat for standard buffalo. They make them naked or battered and we opted for the naked. I had the Carl's Favorite Chicken sandwich (Grilled breast, avocado, tomato, provolone, bacon and garlic long hots on brioche). It was not a monster of a sandwich which was great because it wasn't messy at all, but I barely detected any long hots except for one bite and avocado was two small little pieces. Skimped for sure, but I was pretty full by the point I was almost done with it. Served with store bought crinkle cut chips. They were OK but would prefer homemade chips. The band was loud, but sound quality was excellent. Lots of friendly folks bopping all around the place, enjoying live music (the way it should be). I'd return to see a show and try a few more menu items. Service was very friendly except for one guy handling drinks at the bar. They all chipped in to serve you, which was nice. No hunting down your server was much appreciated when it was time to close out. $175 with tip for four. read more

So I went expecting good BBQ. First ... it didn't smell like BBQ when I arrived. Second, the place is a dive bar first. I ordered BBQ chicken with FF (hand cut). So I got one small boneless skinless breast for around $15.00 with the FF. The chicken was just okay .... It wasn't charred and the BBQ sauce was just average. Disappointed that a rib joint is serving boneless skinless. The hand cut FF were pretty good. I used a little salt and vinegar. Also, had Iced Tea. All in all ... it was just okay I might go back and try rye ribs but the chicken is just okay. Honestly, I'm not hopeful. Another customer was eating the ribs and they didn't looked char grilled either. Just simmered in sauce or reheated in the microwave not sure. The inside looked and smelled like an old pub and the bar was sticky more than likely from dry beer. The bartender provided food service and was singing along with the juke box. read more

If you're a music buff you would love the decor. Walls covered in albums and concert posters and an area with all 8 tracks and cassettes. The groovy decor flows freely throughout. We split a Cuban and buffalo chicken egg-rolls then finished off with a brownie sundae (big enough for three!) and crème brûlée. Delicious from apps to desserts. Our waitress was there but not overly attentive - yet we didn't need for anything. A band was setting up as we were leaving and they have a full roster of bands that play, we wish it was closer to home so we could check them out. I'm a big fan of the Ribby and what they do for the local music scene! Great bands playing regularly, good beer on tap, and the food hits the spot! If I plan on eating while watching a band, which I usually do, I'll call ahead and reserve a table letting them know I'm there to see the band. Otherwise I'll hang out by the bar which is right in front of the stage. On my most recent visits I've had the BBQ platter, wings, and the southsider, a roast pork sandwich with a cup of au jus. Loved all of it, including the sides: baked beans and the mac and cheese. The hot wing sauce was tasty too, although I prefer a bit more heat. The blue cheese dressing that came with it had some nice chunks of blue cheese and paired nicely with the celery and wings! Melissa has done a great job with this place over the years! It is not only a good place to grab a drink and a bite to eat, but a bustling music venue as well! They have a private parking lot and are conveniently located minutes from King of Prussia and Conshohocken, check out the band schedule and stop in for a drink and some tunes! read more

Stopped for a beer and burger on way home from office to dill the tank before pool league started. Bar floors were really sticky on the way in. Bar staff were friendly and quick to take order and offer a menu. I settled for the short rib brisket mix burger served medium to maintain the flavor and opted for coleslaw thinking "what good bbq joint doesnt have good slaw?" Turns out this is the bbq joint with terrible slaw. Tiny portion for $5, 1/4 cp in a teacup saucer. The burger was well dressed with fresh onion and 4 slices of tomato with some spring lettuce mix. Unfortunately it was really heavily salted and charred black to the point it was dwarved on the bun. Fortunately the salt retained some juice to help down the portion with my beer. $30 with the tip. I went out here to work on their heat and they were super kind, ended up getting some of the ribs and sausage stuffing and the food was amazing. We had heard about this place for years, but finally got a chance to try it by chance while we were in the area. We are very happy that we stopped in because it is such a fun atmosphere with great staff. Their drinks were very good and a decent price as well, especially compared to other places for seasonal drinks and martinis. We happened to come during the acoustic singer's set which was nice, then we found out that a band would be playing at 9:00. We ended up staying until after 10:00 while we just came in for a bite! I wasn't extremely hungry, so I had a grilled cheese for dinner, which happens to be one of my favorites. It was a really good grilled cheese, too! My husband had the barbecue and well they are known to have good barbecue - we felt it was good, and a repeat, but it was a very small portion of ribs along with the chicken. Next time he would get something a little different although if it was my dinner there would be plenty for me! A surprise for me was that the rib and chicken dinner came with a side of coleslaw and a side of brussels sprouts. I did not know that they were brussels sprouts, however, because they were leaves roasted until crispy. I do not like brussels sprouts at all, or even the smell, but this was totally different, and I was eating them, and I could not believe it once I realized what they were. Went for lunch on Sunday, and since it is called a rib house I ordered 1/2 rack baby back ribs with high expectations. Ribs came cut up rather than as a rack, sauce was rich and savory but ribs were tough, chewy. Not worth the high price. read more

Live music and a really fun Hometown bar. It's past life it was a biker bar but I guess the general folks (me and my family) have found a gem. The Brideport Rib House is the Best! They love live music and are not afraid to give a new commer a chance at the microphone I think that's super cool. I love the food and I think their wings are awesome. Great bar food all around. The owner of this establishment is super nice she cares for her customers and doesn't take herself too seriously in the best possible way. I love this down home "dive bar". Came here with friends on a Thursday night couple weeks ago. We got the nacho app which had pulled pork and cheese and other stuff on it. It was huge!!!! We also shared the half sized share platter which came with half rack of bbq spare ribs, half each of bbq baby back ribs, and bbq chicken (bone in) and three apps. All were very good. read more

My wife had a chicken cheese steak, and we shared fries, onion rings that are especially delicious and not greasy, salad and Mac salad. Ok, when it comes to cheese steaks delassandros is delassandros just like for ribs Bridgeport Rib House is Bridgeport Rib House. Each is tops in the area and I'd venture the world in what they do. Bridgeport Rib house delivered absolutely wonderful ribs and a cheesesteak that can hold its head high, along with fine sides. The Bridgeport rib house is a classic Philadelphia Suburbs "Tappy" - a little divey, a lot local, reasonable prices and decent food. What I like the best however is that they prominently brand themselves with their best dish. The ribs here are outstanding. It's a damn good reason to go and a damn good reason to come back. Some of the best ribs I've had in the area by far. Worth the jog up to Bridgeport to enjoy them every once in a while. If You don't come here expecting fine dining, You should have a good time at a reasonable price. Oh and the music selection isn't bad either - I love live bands. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the ribs and bbq chicken. They were very tasty and we would definitely order from here again as it is around the corner from our place. The sides however are a no-go, they lack some serious flavor. We could've skipped the Mac and cheese, fries and toast. I also didn't love how you have to flag someone down several times to pick up your order and the stares I received when I walked in. I really hate posting a bad review because we really enjoy the baby back ribs here but on a take out basis not so much. Last night I picked up 2 bb plates . When I opened them up and picked the ribs up I saw how dried out and thin 3 of 5 in one pack and 2 of 5 in the other were. I don't know why take out orders are treated like this. When we eat in the restaurant all the ribs are juicy and plump. The new owner is great and has done some really good things here but Take out shouldn't be treated like a second class act. We went here after being at KOP mall and it didn't disappoint!! The Mac n cheese was amazing the large is very good for 2 to share and we both ended get the cheesesteak and it was definitely a very moist a awesome taste with the white American cheese. We set at the bar and it was a great experience the bartenders were super helpful and nice. This is a locals bar and everyone was open to talk to us and just converse among each other. It was misleading as anyone would think a restaurant calling itself a Rib House would definitely without a doubt be way, way higher and above in RIBS than other restaurants without the word Rib House. FYI i wasnt drunk i have severe gouty arthritis and knee erosion which makes it difficult for me to walk or stand up for more than 5 minutes. Im never going into this establishment again. Been meaning to try the Bridgeport Rib House out for some time. One day a friend suggested we go, and we did. (In fact, I've lunched here several times.) If I remember correctly, the Rib House shares the same owner with the Conshy one. Unlike the latter, Bridgeport's has a big parking lot. It's a decent place, with colorful murals on their exterior. Indoors, there's a slight smell of cigarettes (yes, they allow smoking, last I checked) and a large wooden bar. Both places have good service, good food, and reasonable prices. Last I was here, our server (Jeanine) was quick, getting us our orders in a jiffy. Their half rack of spareribs are large, and sometimes hard to chew at times. The hot honey BBQ sauce slathered on them wasn't spicy at all, more of a slight tang. Of their sides, I usually get their applesauce, baked beans, or macaroni salad (one time it came out a little warm, eeww). It's a dependable lunch spot, and ultimately a matter of taste - go try them out for yourself! read more

It's a a rib house. Ribs were sub par. Meat I felt was undercooked. Like it was barely past done. Tasted like someone slathered bbq sauce on it and put it in the oven for 20-30 min at 375. I expected it to come off the bone cleanly. Chicken similar. Bbq slathered on oven baked chicken. Nothing to write home about. Summary Seems like the traditional bar food is good. Wet bbq and I usually aren't a good combination. The bbq here is an exception. The hot honey sauce on the huge pulled pork sandwich was the right balance of hot and sweet. They serve spare and babyback ribs. We tried the spare and they were tender (not fall off the bone) very enjoyable to eat. Owner is very proud of her cornbread. Looking forward to returning to the Philly area to try it next time. Summer side of Mexican sweet corn was a tasty treat! **note: this is predominantly a bar with live music.
