Never going again - I brought brand new items to get dry cleaned because I had wrinkled them during my move to Dumbo. This place told me that my brand new items had stains - then charged me an extra $5 per item to remove each individual stain. Please do not become a customer of Bridgestone Cleaners! They have a big sign on their wall saying "100% satisfaction or you do not pay for the cleaning". But they won't honor it! And if you dare to question why your dress still has the same dirt marks on it that it did when you brought it in, they will say that they don't see anything. If you insist that they did a lousy job and that they should honor their guarantee, the owner himself will call you a "cu*t", tell you you need to get "F$@ked in the a**" and then, I kid you not, throw your dress into the middle of the street! First time in and it will be the last, as my experience was so disappointing. I brought a tie a few days ago to be cleaned. I was very excited as I read the notice board about the fact that the team wanted the customers to feel safe and happy and that we would not pay if anything unexpected happened. When I came back on Saturday, a man gave me the tie without saying anything in particular and I dropped of a silk blouse. I duly paid $8.25 as requested and I left. What a bitter disappointment when I came back home and found out that the tie was not clean and that there was a big staint on it ! Then I found a small note inside the plastic wrap reading "sorry, we could not do it...". I must say I am chocked by this practice : I was not told anything when I went to pick my tie up. I was the only client in the store on Saturday morning. There was no rush, no crowd ... and nobody could tell me that there was a problem ? Secondly, since when are we supposed to pay for a not-provided service ? How phony was this notice board ! I came back eventually to the store as I wanted to hear the man's explanations. He had none and I confirmed that there was nothing to do, that this was normal that I paid and that this was normal not to tell me anything. So I picked up my silk blouse (which was given back to me as if it was a crumpled dish towel) and I promised to myself I would not come back. For most of my business career, I have been in search of a reliable tailor, a tailor who cares about the quality of his or her work. At Bridgestone -- which has locations in Cobble Hill and Dumbo -- I believe that I have found that tailor. My usual experience in having a suit tailored is to arrange a fitting. After waiting a week or two, I try on the tailored garment to find that the tailoring is bit off here and there. No problem. I expect no less for proper tailoring is not an easy process. What I do expect, however, is that a tailor acknowledge when an improperly fitted suit needs extra work and not try to convince a customer that the problem is your shirt, or that the customer need to lose a few extra pounds. Nothing worse than the seemingly inevitable confrontation about whether a suit needs further adjusting. Simply put, a good tailor should not let a customer walk out the door with an obviously ill fitting garment. The tailor at Bridgestone shows the pride in his work that a good tailor must show. I went to him after being deeply disappointed at another Brooklyn tailor, highly rate by NY magazine, who not only engaged in the lack of professionalism discussed above but attempted to extort a tip from me on top of his inadequate work. No such problem at Bridgestone. The tailor actually called me up before my return date to come in for another fitting to make sure that the collar on my suit lay properly. They're really great. I dropped off several pairs of pants to have some holes patched and buttons put on. When I came back, the price was higher than I expected (dumb me didnt think to ask about pricing when I dropped off). The manager went through every piece of clothing and explained why it was done this way and charged the same way. He did end up knocking off $25 to the final tally which was cool. I just used the Bridgestone Apartment Cleaning Service for the first time and I am 100% convinced. They sent a really nice guy over who was cleaning like a mad man. Having recently relocated to Brooklyn from Beverly Hills the thing I was most concerned about was replacing the dry cleaner I had been using for over 25 years. Bridgestone Cleaners has relieved me of any of these concerns. Right away I was treated as if I were one of their most cherished long term clients. The staff could not be more accommodating to my particular needs. They are a pure example of what you would imagine "personalized service" to be. My cleaning was picked up and returned to me at the scheduled times, and I even received text communication informing me of their anticipated arrivals. Bridgestone SUCKS! I am so sick of people ABUSING the "green"/environmentally friendly catchphrase. Seriously, find something else to lie about, won't you? I sent my wash and fold the other day and it came back WREAKING of that horrible dryer sheet smell that takes FOREVER to get rid of, AND they packaged up the clothes in toxic, chemically scented plastic bags. When I called them, they agreed to re-wash the clothes, but insisted that it was somehow my fault. The clothes (sheets and towels) still wreak, but sorry...Nothing more they can do. We have been using Bridgestone Cleaners for the past 2 years or so, ever since we moved to DUMBO from the Upper East Side. We have been satisfied with their service and work product quality. Their prices are not cheap (i.e., comparable to, if not more than, Manhattan prices), and we would like the prices to be more comparable to overall NYC prices, but we have been satisfied with both Bridgestone's customer service and quality of returns. In particular, we have to mention Anna, the nice lady at the counter, who has been such a pleasure to deal with, and who has gone out of her way to try to meet our requests. Do not recommend. We've had normal experiences with dry cleaning but the tailor's work is substandard. It's fine for hemming or taking in pants at the waist (over priced, but quality it acceptable) just don't bring them anything more complex. I brought in two shirts to get cleaned and I received only one back through the Bridgestone delivery service. Like most cleaners, Bridgestone wraps and seals their cleaning deliveries. With only one shirt contained in the delivery, it was clear that this was an error on their end. Management response was less than adequate. They claimed to have looked for the shirt, but were unable to find it. I can understand this, but what followed was extremely frustrating. I received a letter from a Bridgestone manager stating, "When the order was delivered and signed for (by my doorman), the pieces were accounted for until that point". This clearly was not the case as the delivery was sealed, containing only one shirt. They even charged me for two. Their refusal to accept any responsibility was both surprising and disappointing. Needless to say, I will not be using their services again and I look forward to their demise. read more

Only gave them 1 start because I can't rate them any lower. The owner & son (manager) are very rude and speak to people in a very sarcastic manner. I dropped off some clothes and received calls hours before my scheduled delivery saying that some clothes needed extra time to remove the "stains". Why wasn't I notified 4 days prior when I dropped off my clothes. After that situation, I received half of my order wrinkled and stained. I do not appreciate this service especially if I'm spending outrageous amounts of money and receiving my clothes back stained and damaged. There was a time when my dry cleaning had to be sent back to be redone. There was a time when a repair was only partially done. And there was a time when an alteration was not ready at the time promised. I consider my time valuable. This is really a terrific dry cleaner. Not only did my clothes come out as good as new, but my complex tailoring job (pants alteration) was done to my exact strict specifications. With the drycleaning, upon intake, my pants were carefully examined and I was asked if I needed pleats or not. I really appreciated this attention to detail. The fit from the tailoring was fantastic. I've had nothing but excellent experience when I come here which is quite often. We've taken multiple clothing items to get tailored by the skilled Pablo and have always been satisfied with the outcome. Furthermore, I have trusted this location for all of my wedding needs. When I had questions about steaming my dress, I was given Zach the manager's personal cell phone number to call and coordinate a time for me to stop by so he could there to look at the wedding dress. Once I showed up, he was extremely attentive and did an on-the-spot steam clean for me (since I had to leave town in a couple of days). I was so impressed by his professionalism and customer service! Also, I found a tear in my wedding veil and I ran over to Bridgestone where Zach saved the day again and had Pablo work on the rip right away. A rip in a veil is not easy to fix but when I got it back from them it looked perfect! I always feel like I am being take care of when I go here and know that the staff and manager take pride in their work and try their best to satisfy their customers and that's what counts. read more
