Really disappointed in the quality here. This place was recommended for to me for some tailoring I needed to get done on a special occasion dress. The plan was to take in the dress on the sides and so we needed to add a zipper. As you can see in the photo, they left a very sloppy hole in the lining of the dress where the zipper ends. Additionally, we agreed they would add stitches to the top of the dress so that the lining wouldn't show, this just completely didn't happen, and with no explanation at the time of pick up. I brought in a jumpsuit and two pairs of pants to get hemmed as well. The gentleman pressured me in to getting one of the pants taken in, though I did not originally intend to do so, and after I found out this would be $45 I told him again that I did not want to do this and he told me the pants would look stupid if I didn't. Total cost was $400 to get the dress, two pants and jumpsuit altered, and the dress and one pair of pants dry cleaned. Cost does not match level of quality. read more

This place has been my choice of cleaning service in the neighborhood for a year. Employees are extremely hospitable. The service is almost impeccable. However, most recently when I tried to dry clean a Canada Goose jacket here, he quoted me $80, which is outrageously expensive. He explained about the "special" treatment to protect the garment. And he insisted there was no cheaper option to clean safely this kind of garment. I didn't know this popular down jacket is such a fragile gem before. In the end, deterred by the high price, I went to another place that charged me $40 for a full dry clean service. Maybe he is right that his "special" treatment will keep the jacket last forever. But I am happy with $40 service for now and ever. Leave this as a record, make your own judgement. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE choice cleaners. The couple that owns it is lovely and they do an impeccable job with EVERYTHING. I've brought them everything from shearling coats to suede couch cushions. They do it all! They are also great for alterations. I am very picky with this kind of stuff so finding choice cleaners made my life a lot easier. They also will come to you if you'd like and they do delivery as well. The main reason I love them is because they made my shearling coat look brand new again. After one too many one night I fell into a puddle in my beige shearling coat... I was so upset because there was black stuff from the street all over it (and I had just gotten it). It looked awful. I took it to Choice Cleaners and they made it look perfect again. Every stain came out without damaging the delicate material. I will be forever grateful! I brought two winter coats to get dry cleaned here yesterday since it's right around the corner from my apartment. They tried to charge me $190 to get them dry cleaned. When I said no I'm not paying that much they said $160?? Last year I took them to get dry cleaned at a place in Hell's Kitchen and it was around $50-60 and the coats came out just fine. I was in disbelief they tried to charge me $190 to get the bare minimum dry cleaning done on two winter coats. I paid $250 for one of the coats ?? I might as well just go buy a new winter coat ?!?! The two staff members, which Im assuming are the owners were very friendly... but I'm not going to let someone try to rip me off. I said nope! And left w my two jackets. read more

I wanted to love this place. They employees seem very friendly. But when I tried to ask them why there was a hole in my dress after it being cleaned by them, the attendant simply told me to wait while he assisted other customers picking up their items. In addition to this inappropriate customer service, I find 11.50 for dry cleaning a dress expensive. I don't think they should charge me for cleaning an article of clothing that they have ruined by making a hole in it in the process. While they repaired a hole in my leather coat and cleaned it, at $93 for the coat cleaning and repair and $65 for the backback, and over $10 for two dresses the price and service I received ($177) lead me to believe I will not be patronizing this dry cleaning place again. I'll rather take my drycleaning to NJ where I can have any garment cleaned for $1.99. read more

I was so excited to try this place based on reviews but sadly they put two huge holes in one of my nice tops. They also put huge pins (very thick) into my silk garments so now there are little holes in everything, big enough you can see light through them. The couple were super nice but I had a very hard time understanding what they were saying, and they also had a hard time understanding me as well. So overall, will take my stuff somewhere that is more delicate with nice garments. read more

I took an expensive and old favorite leather jacket to be cleaned and the employees who took in and gave my jacket at checkout were extremely friendly. I was horribly surprised when I got home and tried on my favorite jacket I've had for years shrink from a size large to small. I struggled to even put one arm through one sleeve and could not even attempt to put on the second sleeve. I was quite disheartened but knew things like this happen. So the following day I took my jacket back in to show them how much my jacket shrunk and to get my $85 refunded for the leather cleaning, not even asking for compensation for my ruined jacket. The same friendly staff repeatedly said no refunds and when I asked for my leather jacket back as proof, they threw it behind their counter so I wouldn't be able to retrieve it and said to come back in a couple of weeks and that it could be fixed. With no refund mentioned, I called my bank in order to cancel the payment and was able to. The cleaners never called me back to pick up my $500 leather jacket. Do not take your leather to be cleaned here! read more

Seriously the best cleaners in NYC. Not only do they do an amazing job, the owners John and Sarah are super friendly. I'm shortly moving to a new neighborhood and will definitely miss their smiles and catching up. Laundry service is always on time and my dresses are always dry cleaned impeccably (I almost exclusively wear dresses so that's a lot)! They moved next door recently into a bigger space so there's enough room for them to also have a changing space so people can tailor garments. I recently also forgot to pick up my credit card when I left and one of their employees came and returned it to my apartment within 5 minutes. They also offer free pick up and delivery but I never usually used it since I lived so close by. However, I hurt my ankle recently and they were so accommodating to come and collect and deliver my laundry. They were so concerned for me that I take it easy! Really appreciated. Amazing service. I highly recommend this business. They provide high quality dry cleaning and great customer service at a fair price. I am currently working 50-60 hour weeks while interviewing for medical school around the country, so it has been a very hectic time schedule-wise. As someone who is still living on a student budget, I only have 1 suit and was in search of a reasonably priced place to dry clean it. Outside of the flawless job that John and his wife have done cleaning the clothing (and a white rug that had a pretty bad red nail polish stain on it) I had dropped off with them, they have repeatedly cleaned and delivered my 1 suit and interview shoes within 3-4 days and personally delivered them to my apartment building for no extra charge. Because of them, I have had one less thing to worry about while preparing for interviews, working, and catching flights. ***Most recently, they delivered my cleaned suit to my building on the Wednesday before thanksgiving for me to have for an upcoming interview the following week (as requested). However, due to a death in the family, I had to leave New York before that time and the suit sat in my lobby for a week, and was picked up by mistake by a fellow tenant. Even though it was confirmed that they had done their job cleaning and delivering the suit, when my building manager was not responsive to my situation, John and his wife tracked all other deliveries to my building that week and instructed the doorman of which rooms to contact to see if they had taken my clothing by mistake. Because of them, the doorman was able to knock on the door to different apartments and get my suit back from someone who had taken it by mistake with his own clothes. John and his wife called both me and the building to follow up and ensure that that situation was resolved. I do not think I would have gotten my suit back without their help, and definitely would not have had it to wear to my interview that same week.*** These people go above and beyond what you would expect from a dry cleaner's. Each time I ask for a service, although they have never failed to do an amazing job, they only say that they will just do their very best. Outside of being very kind, fair, and honest people, John and his wife provide an excellent service and truly care about doing great work and taking care of their customers. (Side note- I finally remembered to write this review after John recognized me while walking down the street and called out my name to say hello!)
