Kind of pricey place. The dryer is going to eat more quarters than you expect. We were visiting from out of state so had to buy a detergent pod from them; charged $1! The interior is average cleanliness. I definitely remember seeing a dead roach on the floor but I did see the worker wiping down the machines. Excellent laundromat! The most spacious and cheapest one in the area. I walk a few extra blocks to come here. There's almost always machines open for use. This one is very convenient to do your own laundry at, but they provide a drop off service as well. I believe this is a family run business and they are all friendly and kind. Two things: If you don't like a strong artificial detergent smell, bring your own detergent. (I use TruEarth dry strips) Also...I checked out 3 laundromats to drop off my 27 pounds of laundry near my place on Spring and Elizabeth. The rates for "Laundry to Go" (I was told from my phone call) is $175/pound (total $47), "Delancey Laundry" is 31.75, and Long Don was $31 ($12 for the first 10 pounds, then $1 a pound). read more

This laundromat is great I have no complaints other than the dryers are old and they take forever to dry properly compared to other laundromats with newer machines. I used this laundromat few days ago for self service because I am picky and have seen how others treat your clothes. Each load is 3 or 5 depends on the load weight and the dryers need at least 4 quarters. I almost spent $20 for 3 loads just for my sheets, towels and comforter so compared to my other laundromat I used to go I saved $30 just on that day. My clothes came out very clean, smell fresh but not very well dry unfortunately. My only advice to this place is that they need a major renovation and kick out the smokers sitting behind the store. Other than that the place is clean. I stayed late and saw how hard they work in a very old school way but they take care of their business very well. I wish can someone invest with them and give them some love to work on the appearance of the place. read more

I came by here twice during my 12 day stay in the area. Both times the service was so great, they were super friendly, helpful, and efficient. I dropped off for wash and fold and they were always done by the end of the day and packaged up neatly. I've never done laundry in manhattan before but both times I dropped off about 10 pounds of me and my bf's clothes and it was about $12-13, which I thought was a pretty good price for the amount of clothes and the service. Here's why i love this laundromat: 1. The owners/ workers are super nice. 2. It's the cleanest laundry ive ever used: no empty Tide boxes or lint balls anywhere and if u drop a wet item on rhe floor as u place it in drier it wont pick up any nastiness 3. I have used Delancey Laundromat for the past 2.5 years and I am happy to say that I have had a great experience. They faithfully have taken care of my massive amounts of wash and fold clothes with care and speed. I've used their wash and fold service for nearly two years now and it is wonderful. They are lovely people, much friendlier than other wash and fold services. Their prices are also the lowest I have found in the neighborhood. as a laundromat, very standard. a bunch of washers (double and triple load). double load is very small and is $1.75. triple load is $3.00. dryers are .25 cents load, it takes around .75 cents for a dry load. biggest complaint is that the SKETCHIEST people go there. i must find a place to go that i don't feel like i'm going to get abducted. there were 2 sketchy foreign men smoking a joint outside the building while waiting for their drying, and drinking scotch from under a colored plastic bag. they were also rolling joints on the folding table. in addition, another sketchy man (mid 50s) came up and made awkward conversation, asking me if i knew where a coffee shop was. then he came back and told he forgot to get me one...ok! then sat down next to me and tried to make eye contact with me for 15 minutes. lots of seedy characters in here. i then gathered my belongings, prayed they were dry and then hauled ass back to my apartment. haaate laundry days!!!! read more
