Years ago, I saw Dr. Briggs and absolutely loved her. She taught me all about my migraines and got them under control. Last year, got new insurance and finally was able to go back to her with high hopes that she and her practice could help me with some other issues. After a year and 6 or 7 visits, I had no answers. I got pushed a lot of their herbal vitamins though (tumeric for my back pain which ended up being L1-S1 4-6 level bulging disks) I switched doctors this year and after 1 month and 1 visit; I have seen the right specialists and have answers. Plus, I don't have to wait months to get an appointment, I get a person within a couple minutes of calling, and I got into my appointment right away! read more

I am usually one that doesn't complain on Facebook but I am going to complain about Dr Briggs and all their office employees they are very rude, unprofessional, and I've had it with them. This will be my first Yelp review. And it's going to be a negative review. If I could give them a 0 star review I would but I'll have to stick with the one star. We arrived on time and the staff said if you're not early your late and would not see us. I simply wanted to see the doctor to relieve my shoulder pain but since we were "on time", the doctor had already gone on to the next patient and they would not see me. I ended up crying my eyes out in the waiting room. Later they told me we would have to go to urgent care or the emergency room for treatment. If I could give a 0 I would! I've been seeing Dr Briggs for years. I show up for my appointment, after taking off work, and was told I cannot be seen because I wasn't 15 minutes early!?!???? First of all if I was told that I would have put the appointment time in my calendar for 15 minutes earlier, but I was not. Then After sitting for 15 minutes, I was asked if I could come in tomorrow..... not sure who can take off 2 days in a row for the same dr appt, but I can't. It takes months to get into see her and now I'll have to wait months more (apparently without my medication) read more

I have been trying to request a refund of some of the products that I have purchased through Dr. Briggs for over six month. These products caused horrible stomach cramping for me and after trying them enough times in various ways I no longer take them. During my last appointment with Dr. Briggs (six months ago), I explained to her (and in my previous appointment with her PA Mary) that these supplements and shakes were causing cramping and stomach aching. I was advised by both Mary and Dr. Briggs to eliminate one and try the other by itself, I did and that didn't work. What I was caught off guard by in my last appointment (six months ago) was when Dr. Briggs had asked me if I was allergic to Sulfa medications. I explained to her (a bit taken by surprise) that I was highly allergic to sulfa medications and don't take them. She seemed surprised or like she hadn't recalled that (although we discussed it and it was in my medical questionnaire) and suggested that these products may not be the right fit for me then (this was after the fact that I had already been taking them). I was surprised by this because I provided feedback via all of the health forms that I was asked to complete initially and disclosed verbally that I was allergic. I felt she should have been well aware of my allergies and was surprised that she would direct me to take something and then ask me after the fact if I was allergic to it. I feel that should have been vetted out well before I started taking all of these things that caused me pain and now I have leftover products I can't use which I spent a ton of money on. I have spent over $311 on Ultra Renew Shakes and Sulfate XX Pills and have requested a refund for that. I attached documents showing the debits from my account. Despite numerous phone calls, messages and emails I haven't received a response. The Office Manager, Marci states in her voicemail she calls everyone back in 24 hrs. This doesn't happen. I am floored by this type of service and will never be a patient of hers again! I will keep pursuing my money! They don't even deserve a star! read more

This office makes sure that you pay up before being seen, they don't let you see the Doctor if you are 5 to 10 min late because they are already seeing someone else, but yet I have been waiting for 50 min for a TB shot that a nurse can administer. Not to mention they charge $50 for missed or cancelled appointments yet my husband was called twice the day of, to have the Doctor cancelling on him..even though he took the day off. Dr. Briggs will give you a well-rehearsed sales pitch but it is impossible to make an appointment for the procedure. If you are willing to remain on hold forever, her staff will not be able to make an appointment until they ask her for permission. I never heard from them again. Listen, I HATE writing bad reviews but this office needs help. I hope they read all of these negative reviews and make some changes. I like Dr. Tracy, but this office is the WORST. 40 minutes on the phone to even get an appt. If you ever need paperwork- they take FOREVER to get it to you. I've never even seen Bridget Briggs so not sure if she even exists. If you call the second they open to reschedule your late afternoon appt because of an emergency- they charge you $75. Even if it's your first time ever canceling. They have NO grace for their patients. Even though every time you're in the office you're in the waiting room for at least 30 minutes waiting for someone to come in and see you. Ridiculous. read more

I decided to get another doc & try Dr. Briggs, haven't seen her once...but always have been treated by Traci Dyer (PA)...and I do really like Traci. That aside, I've given this place several chances, but each and EVERY time I have gone in I've been spoken to rudely by the office staff AND assistants/nurse staff. Don't get me started on how rude and crass the phlebotomist was...ugh. My last apt involved me requesting to make a follow up visit at the front desk....the reply I received..LOUDLY...and in-front of a full waiting room, Front Desk: "You HAVE to call in to make an apt", ME: "Oh...I made an apt at the front desk the last time I was here??", "Yeah....its a new thing" .....front desk girl whips around leaving me standing there looking like a complete idiot. No sorry, no nothing. Don't get me started on the "nutritionist".....my 9 year old daughter could have given me better direction. :( That lady rushed me out of there before I could ask any questions...so glad I waited WEEKS to see her. UGH My favorite episode was the last visit I had where Traci's assistants were arguing IN-FRONT of me as to whom would "dispose of the liquid nitrogen" left on top of a machine, in a drinking cup...CLEARLY from the last patient. TACKY....UNPROFESSIONAL....and EWWWWWWWWWWW! And that's the short version :( Still deciding as to whether my like for Traci outweighs the HIDEOUS people employed there. Good Luck! read more

Because there are two listings for this office and they are terrible, I am posting my review twice. I wish I had paid more attention to the negative reviews... It came back and bit me in the butt. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. There has been a long wait every single appointment I have had, and the last one, I got stuck in traffic, was still early, but was told they refused to see me because I wasn't 15 minutes early. THERE WERE NO OTHER PATIENTS WAITING. NONE. No one informed me of this stipulation, and this is the ONLY doctors office of any kind with that type of rule I have ever seen or heard of. Then imagine my fury when I receive a bill in the mail for a $25 no show fee for this same appointment. (Which they apparently never waive... I called the office manager and am less than shocked to have not heard a peep back.) I am so bitterly disappointed in this office- I rarely review online, but this has been one of the worst overall experiences I've had in a very long time. It's with great sadness that I have to leave this updated review for Dr. Briggs office. As you can see I loved Dr. Briggs. However, all of a sudden she has decided to lie to me and tell me that it's a new California law and she's not allowed to prescribe more than one month of a certain prescription at a time. I have called my insurance company several times and they have verified that there is NO new California law, it's just a Dr. Briggs policy. This doesn't sound like too big of a deal except for this is an ongoing medication and having it prescribed 1/month at a time causes our costs to go up to close to $200 a month instead of $48/month. (We receive a huge discount ordering 3/months at a time). I also had a similar experience to others on this board with the office manager. She was incredibly rude and disrespectful and mean. I don't cuss, however this "person" was a "B". she had me in tears and didn't care. I have been with this doctors office for well over 10 years and I'm highly disappointed. I have done every test she is asked me to do, I have tried all her herbal supplements, I've changed my diet to GF and sugar free and now I'm getting treated like crap. I'm actually very hurt. The office manager is mean and rude. I have encountered her numerous times and she has never been friendly. It seems like she doesn't like her job therefore she'll take it out on the patients.They recently got rid of the rude front desk girl and now it's time they replace the office manger. The only reason I gave two stars is because Tracy the nurse practitioner, she is awesome, she really cares about you and she knows her stuff. I have been going to this office for a year. There have been multiple blood tests ordered and many "specialty" tests ordered as well. (My insurance does not cover the "speciality" ones so there has been over 1000.00 in out of pocket expenses there.) I have bought every single supplement Dr Briggs has recommended (nearly 700.00 out of pocket) and after over 9 visits I have still not gotten to the bottom of my health issues. i feel like I'm a science experiment! On my last visit i was asked if i had ever tried Xanax! I was told i can have Xanax and Prozac if it made me feel better! I feel she never really knew me and on my last and final visit i was told 4 different diagnosis's . And 1 of them was apparent from all of my labs over the past year. (i compared all of my results when i got home) I had such high hopes when i began here and now I'm starting all over. Traci Dyer, her PA is outstanding though. I should have never done the DNA tests and stayed with Traci.(Briggs is the only one who reads and treats the genetic issues) Briggs had me on so much antidepressants i almost took my own life and when i questuoned her she just told me to take less. I wasn't even depressed until i started taking them! Hopefully others have been helped but i most certainly haven't. I NEVER write reviews as I want to be careful to give people a chance. Dr. Bridget Briggs was the most insensitive doctor I have ever dealt with and I've gone to many over the past 15 years for fertility/hormone issues. For starters, after I filled out the many pages with every question on my previous health imaginable, I showed up 30 minutes early to wait over 1.5 hours to be seen. That wasn't the worst of it. She came in with college interns and as I proceeded to give her a quick (like 30 seconds) synopsis of my health, she literally put her hand up at me and told me to stop. She then laughed at me, waved her hands all around saying "This is you, all over the place and I can't follow." It was unprofessional and rude. Even if it was hard, she could have said that in a MUCH more sensitive way. She said "I like people to talk to me like a guy, straight." What does that have to do with being a caring and listening doctor? I was a new patient, first time meeting her, I don't know what I needed from her that's why I was there, to figure it out. I really wish, at that moment I would have gotten up and walked out. Thank the Lord my husband was there and said something then. Yet she was just as condescending to him. I felt like she needed to prove herself to the interns or something. She belittled the fact I've had multiple miscarriages, since I still had kids later. Every time me or my husband tried to interject, she put her finger up and said "Let me talk" she'd give a little schpiel about how good she is at what she does. Then she literally pointed back at one of us and said "Now you can talk". VERY condescending and uncaring! read more

Dr Briggs is wonderful but hard to see. Very booked out. Her staff...I have left 2 messages for the office manager as well as my insurance broker regarding some questions we had. Neither of us have gotten a call back. I am currently searching for a new Dr due to her staff's lack of response. Its unfortunate her staff doesn't care as much as her. read more

I had a simple appointment for a physical and immunizations for my 2 daughters, and after waiting 45 minutes, I told them to take us off the schedule and we left. This office needs some major help! When you call there is always a wait to speak to anyone and messages are not communicated. I canceled an appointment I had that I made months earlier because my son was sick in the hospital. I called to cancel and spoke with an operator because it was the weekend and I was charged a $50 no show fee. The message was not communicated from the answering service to the offIce. Also when I have gone in for my appointments it take hours. I'm so happy I found a new doctor that I can reach on the phone and takes care of me in a reasonable time. This office has long wait times! Anytime you call, that is, if you even get through when you call, they will schedule you out far in advance. When you get to the doctors office for your Appt, plan on waiting over an hour in the waiting room, another hour when you get called in the back room and then the PA will rush as fast as they can once they get to you and move on to the next patient. I've been a patient for years and am so sick of how I get treated when I come here. You will never get to see Dr. Briggs and they always bill my insurance wrong so I always get a large bill after my visit. Office staff is rude and everyone here is unsympathetic. If there was an option not to give any star to this place I wouldn't have given any star! I have a 3 months old baby and got stuck with feeding and changing the diaper right before I leave the house which was 15 minutes before check in time. So I ended up arriving at the appointment time after having difficulty finding the place. They refused to take me even after explaining what happened and I was expecting them to at least if not understanding the situation to apologize for not taking me. But they didn't even apologize! The lady at the front desk was very mean that when I told her I had difficulty finding the place she ignored me! A very horrible experience with them from the first visit! read more

When I went to this office two months ago, I saw Dr. Shoonmaker regarding a lump on my ear from a removed cyst. He told me it had only been 3 months, and that I shouldn't have came in for a check up since "Scar tissue needs time to heal." He practically dismissed me and talked down to me like I was stupid for even coming in. About a week later, that lump on my ear exploded with pus and blood and has resulted in one of the worse infections i've ever dealt with in my entire life. Had he been a good doctor and taken time to actually look at what my situation was, I wouldn't be in nearly as much pain as I am in today. He's not the only bad doctor here. Dr. Briggs wait time is out of control, I showed up early for a 3:00 pm appointment, and walked out of her office at 5:30!! she orders all these test, done by an out of network lab "Genova", which cost an insane amount of money, and then all they want to give you is "their" supplements from Metagenics. And don't get me started on the "RUDE" office staff, from the Office manager to the Lab Tech ( if she cracked a smile it might break her face, someone must have pee'd in her wheaties). I think the Dr. could be okay, by taking a more holistic approach to treating alements, but it's tuff to get past the other issues in the practice. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. Paid $300 for a new patient consultation appt. Arrived on time, with forms filled out and ready to go. Waited an hour after my scheduled appt time to finally get in. The girl at the front desk was curt, cold, and unhelpful. A lady came in and asked me the exact same questions that I had already answered on the paperwork. Apparently, they don't bother to read the new patient forms, so what is the point of filling them out (20 pages)? After another wait, a young girl came in who acted like a know-it-all and proceeded to patronizingly diagnose my condition, while carelessly dismissing all my concerns. When I asked to speak with Dr. Briggs, who I had actually paid to see, the assistant self-proclaimed herself to be just as knowledgeable as the Dr. and made an issue out of my not taking her word for it. She grudgingly called the Dr in and after another wait, I finally spoke with Dr. Briggs. She said some things to show off her knowledge but ultimately came across as condescending. Apparently, there is some stigma in this office of showing up to an appt with your Mother. I was treated like a child and not with the proper respect belonging to an adult. Overall, I was not impressed by my experience and will not be going back. There appears to be a huge lack of communication between Dr. Briggs and her staff. For instance, she told us that the front desk could give us info on the Metagenics products. However, the girl at the front desk said this was not true. There was also an issue with them discouraging cash patients from booking appts and refusing to authorize labs for patients paying cash. They only want insured patients, which makes no sense because they make you pay in full before you can even see anyone (and they're picky about what insurance they accept). On our way out, my Mom realized she needed to visit the restroom before we left. The front desk told us we couldn't use the restroom in the office, but would have to go out and use the one in the lobby. After we just paid $300 to see the Dr.! Wow. Even at McDonald's you can use the restroom, without making a purchase. The staff here is rude and lacks common courtesy and I recommend avoiding this place like the plague. read more

I waited for 2 months to get in to see Dr. Briggs and was told when I arrived that she does not take my insurance. I specifically asked when making the appointment if they did take my insurance. Very disappointing. It would have been nice if they acted the least bit compassionate. read more

This is my first review ever...I know when you have a dr appointment, it can take a while, but an hour or more every time you have an appointment is ridiculous. I had an appointment today at 145, I was asked to arrived at 130, I arrived at 120, when I complained to Dr. Briggs, in Temecula CA, her response was "that's on you, if we could get all the patients and doctors in one room" I was upset at her response, but I tried to remain calm, but obviously upset. Then she continues to explain they didn't have my lab results yet, I said " so, I just waited more than hour for nothing" she wanted to explain more, but I needed to leave to pick up my daughter, when I said that to her, she said "ok". As I'm walking out of the room she tells the ladies at the front desk "she's upset " really Dr. Briggs? Very unprofessional. When I had my first appointment with her, my impression was she doesn't seem to care to much about patients, but then I said maybe it's just me. Second appointment, I was seen by a dr or nurse practitioner, who was very nice and professional. But tells me he couldn't go over my lab results with me because dr. Briggs likes to do it herself, I responded " nobody told me this when I made the appointment, I canceled other things just to do this" He politely suggested that if I didn't mind he could do it, I agreed. Then dr. Briggs walks in, and was very friendly and explained everything. Third visit, waited an hour to see a nurse practitioner, she apologyzed for the wait, she was very nice. Today, waited a little over an hour, Dr. Briggs, instead of apologizing for the wait, she tells me "that's on you" and tells the front desk ladies "she's upset"...not very professional. I am a military spouse, seen different doctors, in different states, never wrote a review, good or bad,I understand Dr. Appointments can take long, everyone knows that, but an hour every time! And on top of that the unprofessionalism of the Dr., you could be the smartest person in the world, but need to learn to respect your patients, my time is precious just like yours. read more

I am so disgusted with this office. I just got charged $50 to reschedule an appt due to a family emergency. What kind of crappy doctor does that?! I have had to reschedule with my kids and husband's Dr's numerous times and have never once been charged. Not to mention Dr. Schoonmaker is as cold and disinterested as they come. Briggs Bridget MD and her PA both of them had me taking one too many blood pressure medicine. And the side effects had me in bed for two days. My new doctor got me off these medicines because he said I didn't need them. They were making me very sick and could have cost me my life! So no this MD and her PA's are not good Doctors. And they couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. They had me on detox which is very expensive. And they sell there own natural med so they push there stuff on you. Beware. The worst there is. Long hold times every time you call. Had an issue and the girl on the phone was totally not getting it. I was getting frustrated listing to this girl repeat herself and she was not informed enough to answer the questions I had. I asked to speak with someone else and Dr. Briggs got on the phone, would not even listen to what I had to say and hung up on me!!! How unprofessional and uncaring can a doctor be? Another time while waiting for x-ray results for a possible fracture I waited a week and no call from the doctor. I had to call three days in a row to get someone to let me know what the results were. And I also called the Imaging office and they informed me that they had sent the results to the doctor that same day! Tracy at the Murrieta office is very nice though. I am in shock by these bad reviews. I have been with Dr Briggs now for 5 years and she is such a gift. Her knowledge is remarkable and the time she takes to explain everything is so appreciated. She is THE ONLY doctor that has helped me with all medical problems, finally. I have not had an bad experience with the office staff either. Her appointment wait time can be excessive but if you stop and think how much time she spends in the room it makes sense. There also can be a long wait to actually get an appt. but it is so worth it. I love Dr Briggs and recently made her my children's primary. If you like an appreciate alternative medicine not just a doc that will push meds on you come see her. read more
