Do not hire this company. I could not begin to tell you about the things that went wrong. The only redeeming quality was that the one guy who was contracted to move my stuff was actually pretty responsible, though his truck was nothing like the photos. They will use hard pressure tactics to get you to put down a deposit telling you it's refundable, then convince you to keep it. They will tell you they don't contract out your moves but they do. If something goes awry with the contracted mover they are slow to respond to phone calls and emails and while they tried to find a new person to take over the move when the first guy had a tire issue, they couldn't find one in time for the one day I was in Chicago to pick up the move. So that's time and money wasted on my part to go to Chicago. I have to do the pickup remotely and they try to add money saying it takes more space than it does - even though because I was moving from Clutter it had an exact square footage. Even the guy who was supposed to estimate the space before the move had a bad attitude when I didn't want to add $ for more space - just a money grabber. The actual move was done by one person - and he tried his utmost best to do everything well with communication, as well as a one person move could be. I even tipped him even though I had already agreed to pay more for the move than I quoted. That was the only redeeming part of this whole saga. I'm a disabled Veteran living on a fixed income and I moved from Tennessee to Indiana and I intially obtained their service to move me and I gave them a deposit of 1420.00 then the same day someone told me that I should research them some more because they had a terrible experience with them. So I did some further reasearch and found out all of the complaints on the BBB website as weel. So, I imediately contacted the representative that I was dealing with via email because nobody was answering the phone and told him that I would like to cancel my move because of what I found on the BBB website and he ghosted me for 2 days until he finally replied and being very unprofessional because I wanted the money on my card put back on it. He told me I had to contact the company and I called my credit card company as well. The Bridgeview representative told me that I will not recieve a refund because I didn't fill out a cancelation form on their site that my representative never mentioned to mwe and unstood why he waited to respond to me so it would be past the 24 hours that he didn't mewntion to begin with. From the first call to the actual move, BridgeView Van Lines was exceptional! I honestly wasn't expecting to have such a wonderful experience from a moving company, but that's just what they provided. Very fair pricing and great communication. The three movers were so kind, very careful with our things, and worked extremely hard. We did a local move, and they had to park at the bottom of the hill at the new house because the driveway was too steep for the truck. That meant the team had to carry everything up the slope. They were very straightforward with what we needed and how much it would cost and the guys were very respectful and efficient and even helped us with some of the final packing we did not get to do that week because my daughter got sick and even assisted us with loading a dumpster after the fact for a couple hours with Furniture and items we didn't want. In addition, these trucks are not theirs. Our boxes and furniture arrived 1 month after the promised date. This moving company, first of all, is NOT a moving company. they are brokers, and lying deceitful ones at that. The actual moving company they sent me, Ernest Moving & Storage, were animals. My furniture was protected with thin black plastic only. No blankets were used. They charged extra for every added step beyond what they deemed normal. Obviously, my furniture was taken on and off the truck in the pouring rain because it suffered serious water damage. See photos below. Boxes specifically marked "This side up" or "Do Not Lay of This Side" were completely ignored. Finally, they promised to send me a claims form. SCAM! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Unfortunately I fell for this scam run by two "moving" companies, currently using the names Exclusive Van Lines and Bridgeview Van Lines. These people are thieves who use the moving industry as their method of theft. Based on a FaceTime walk though of all the things in my apartment to be moved, they quoted me a price of $2,900 for an intercity move, somewhat less than what other companies quoted, but not a lot less. Though my lease was ending, they wouldn't give me a date for when they would do the move until a few days before. However as those days came and went I kept calling them, they kept promising me to call me back within a specific time, and they never did. With just a couple days left and no response from them, I was forced to scramble to look for last minute alternates. They did finally show up with one day left. I was so relived they actually came, and really had no alternatives, so that when they announced that even though I had 10% FEWER boxes than they estimated, they were going to charge me a total of $6,170, more than double what they had quoted me (and a lot more than any other moving company I had talked to months before). At this point I had no alternative, so I agreed. When they arrived at the moving destination, they demanded that before opening the truck and letting me even see my belongs that: a) I sign a document saying that I had already received all my belongings, and that they were all in good condition, b) I pay the remaining balance of $1,270 in cash, and c) that I pay them an additional $500 in cash for what they said was a long hallway (it was less than 50 feet, and they knew all along that this was going into a big apartment building). They made it very clear that they were holding my belongs hostage until I did all these things, and if I didn't do them, I'd never see any of my belongs again. The movers put me on the phone with their boss in the Bronx, who in full Mafia style was really threatening and nasty, and dared me to call the police, and told his men to just drive away. In order to get my belongings, I had to do everything they said. My boxes were beat-up, with the fragile arrows upside-down, etc. There weren't even box numbers or my name on anything - and so I didn't get all my stuff (though they did give me a TV that wasn't mine, which I had them take back - but it isn't going to do its owner any good, since the screen was smashed in). And needless to say, several things of mine that I did get were broken. All in all, $900 of my possessions were lost or broken, and the "insurance policy" that they claimed to have offered me a total of less than $150 to compensate for everything they had lost or broken. So I paid $6,670 for a job with a guaranteed price of $2,970 and the worst moving experience of my life - these people intentionally underquote to lure people in, and then hold your belongs hostage as they extort you for way more than you'd ever pay for any other mover. I have reached out to the district attorney's offices of my old and new home to see if there's any way to criminally prosecute these people for fraud, or at least put them out of business. P.S. If you look at their online reviews you'll see other people with similar experiences - but you'll also see many good reviews - which I'm pretty sure are fake reviews they've done on themselves. read more

I thought you should know, this was the worst experience moving. The movers that came to my home were so rude, they packed things horribly (shoved a $600 sonos speaker, unwrapped into a box with a kids toy stroller and pushed it so hard together the stroller went through the faceplate of the speaker.) that's not something breaking from moving around, that's horrible packing. We also had a few other items break, which is expected and a box that is completely missing with our cordless vacuum. The guys that were moving us were calling us names under their breath, it was so uncomfortable. In addition to that, the quote was just under $5k and ended up being over $11k. I just had a baby and was keeping to myself while everyone was packing, we even bought them lunch for their help. But I have never been in such an uncomfortable situation in my life. . Back in July we trusted this moving company to come pick up our stuff and move it cross country for us. And the price we were quoted it didn't seem like a bad deal at all!( alittle over $4,000 with "white glove service" and a free hold of 30 days if we needed it). We gave them a complete inventory of what was gunna be on truck. Few days before they were suppose to pick up we told them again what was going on the truck and then they came at us saying oh well now it's going to be $8,000( red flag number one) still trusted this company and agreed to pay the $8,000 even though that was out of our budget completely. Truck estimated time of arrival comes and no truck. I have already left because I couldn't wait and had to report in Savannah for my job that started the 11th. Next day comes and still no truck. 2 days later the truck finally arrived and the guys sees our stuff and goes no you need to pay an additional $8,000 bringing our total to $16,000!! This was beyond us and we were confused on why they price keeps bumping up and they tried to say we only get 7 panels out of 28 foot truck! One of my moms friends showed up and her husband can tell something is going on and that he was trying to scam us. My moms friend husband is an engineer and was measuring the truck and looking at the quote on the paper and seeing numbers aren't lining up on their end and was trying to tell the guy that we actually get 23 panels not 7 1/2! He only took a portion of our stuff because we couldn't afford $16,000 and we had to rent a uhaul to move the rest. My sister jumped on a plane to help my mom drive across the country. Fast forward 30 days to 8/11 and we haven't heard a word from these people! We emailed and called multiple times all numbers we got have been disconnected and emails disabled. We started contacting the driver and we set a date of 9/1 for delivery to our house. Fast forward 8/29 hurricane ian is coming and hits 8/30. 9/1 comes no truck and no response from the new company number we had and the driver! Fast forward again 9/8 got in contact with the driver he said he couldn't make it on 9/1 because the hurricane hit PA (lies!!!!!!) and he will deliver our stuff on 9/11. 9/11 comes no truck! And finally end of my story 9/12 josh got in contact with the driver and the conversation that happened really raised my suspicions even more. Even though red flags popped up long ago. And I looked at yelp reviews and we have been apart of a scam!! On May 29, I booked a move for June 28-29 with Nick Rosen with Bridgeview Van Lines. Prior to booking, I had read several negative reviews with concerning claims regarding lost items, transport delays, damaged items, using brokered carriers rather than Bridgeview's own vans, and failure to take liability (see attachment - Trustpilot Bridgeview Reviews). Nick reassured me that these would not be an issue, that Bridgeview itself was a carrier and would not be brokering other carriers, that despite the usual 3-10 day delivery spread, I would receive my items within 3 days due to the relative proximity of the move, and that my items would be covered for up to $10,000 in liability. Because of these reassurances, I agreed to sign a contract and pay a deposit. Nick told me that I would receive a quality assurance call 5-7 days before the move to make sure everything was in order, and that I would also receive my exact pickup window around that time frame so that I could make arrangements with my apartment building to reserve the elevator. By Saturday, 6/23, 5 days before my pickup, I had not received this call. I texted Nick on the cell phone number he had listed, but did not receive a reply. (see attached pictures). I then called the cell phone number, and instead of being connected to Nick, it connected to a customer service line. This was very concerning to me, but the customer service representatives assured me that I would receive a quality assurance call either that weekend of Monday. The weekend and Monday passed, and I did not receive that call. I again called the customer service line, and was told that I would receive my pickup window soon, and that they were simply behind with their calls. Again this was concerning, especially in the context of all the negative reviews I had read about delays and lost/damaged items, so I sent Nick an email to the email address he had used to send me my quote, in hopes of finding some reassurance. (See attached email text). This email was unable to be delivered because, per the mailer daemon, Nick's email had been disabled. This was the final red flag. I now hold no confidence that any of Bridgeview's claims regarding their customer service, delivery and pickup times, or responsibility/liability for damaged and lost items will be honored by the company. Despite the negative reviews I read, I would have been comfortable with the move if I had received transparent communication on schedule as Nick had stated, which would have reassured me that his claims would be upheld. This has not been the case. A company suffering from negative reviews and questionable reliability should be doing more to assure customers that the flak is unjustified. Bridgeview has done none of these things and has made no efforts to engender trust. I called and emailed customer support to request a refund of my deposit, but received no response. I have nothing good to say about Bridgeview. The 2 representatives I spoke to, lied to me about the move. They said if I didn't use all of the space requested on the truck I wouldn't be charged for it. I was NOT told that there were "bulky item" charges for 2 of my items so I had to rent a uhaul trailer just to transport those. I was told to set my "1st available delivery date" as the day after pickup, even though it was a cross country trip. If my items were available for delivery before I was at my destination, I could "use the FREE storage" provided. They didn't say I'd have to give them prior notice for using the storage, and there'd be re-delivery charges, so the total actually doubled, in addition to the uhaul. I only used the 350 cu ft of space I had requested on the truck, they charged me for 450 cu ft. When they came to load my items, I asked them to load my heavy duty boxes first, and stack the cardboard boxes on top of them. They loaded the fragile cardboard boxes first using too much space. I said my boxes would get damaged and the movers said " if you don't like it we can unload everything and you can forfeit your $1800 in deposits". I was told by both Maya and Sierra that they'd help me out with the extra charges, then they proceeded to dodge my phone calls for a week. When the items were finally delivered, there were 11 boxes heavily damaged, and one box was completely broken and the priceless keepsake items my Mom left me were on the floor of the trailer. Additionally, several pieces of art were damaged, and an expensive piece of cedar from my bed footboard was missing. I'm asking for a full refund of the move, and reimbursement for the uhaul ($700), and the cedar board from the footboard of my bed ($600). The refund/reimbursement check should total $3,955. This total does not even include the damage to the artwork or my priceless family keepsakes (at least $1500). If we included those damaged items in the cost of everything, our total is $5455. read more

I do not enjoy saying this but, I don't think I would recommend this company for long distance moving. I needed to move for a job opportunity. Firstly, they were three days late picking up my belongings, I initially had to reach out to the company to ask what was going on. When I got in contact with Bridgeview they stated that the truck broke down and that's why they were late. Once my belongings were picked up, my drop off date was 11 days away. I called the company the day after my drop off date and was told that they hadn't even loaded and shipped my belongings and that it could take 6-22 days after my delivery date for them to drop off my belongings(my items were dropped off after 22 days). I had already moved across the state so I had none of my personal Items. I also had loaded a lot of my classroom materials that I needed to prepare for the school year(since I'm a teacher).I was also told I would get a discount and was not not given one. Lastly, I did not enjoy that you essentially have to wait around for the movers as if you do no have a personal life,errands, a job. I had to request to leave work early just to meet the movers because I was only told the night before they were on their way. They need to work on being more punctual and honest it makes the company seem a bit sketchy when they aren't constantly communicating with customers as to why they not receiving items on time.Also when my belongings were pick up and dropped off the truck didn't even have the companies logo on the side,it was a different moving company. They book movers outside their company to move your belongings. They movers they chose were from a company called one eagle. They were fast in unloading, but tired to leave without setting up my bed set(which it is in their contact to put the items they broke down back together). Nearly identical experience as other one star reviewers. Subcontracted the move after their movers showed up at 4pm on a Sunday and demanded an extra $1k or they were leaving. Subcontracted company didn't follow the guidelines I had been told like breaking down furniture that I was explicitly told not or else it would not be reassembled at delivery. Because of that I was told I took up too much space and had to abandon furniture I hadn't intended to last minute. After two weeks of being told every couple of days delivery should be in the next couple of days they finally showed up. Tried to tack on extra charge for stairs after I had been told by both sales rep and pick up driver they don't apply the stairs charges for internal stairs of single family homes. I hired this company Bridgeview Vanlines who isn't even a moving company!! THEY ARE BROKERS and they do damage your property. After vetting many so called movers, with estimates from Theodore Greene, he estimated $2,600 all in for gas, loading, transit and delivery to St. Petersburg, Fl which i had to pay 1/3 up front. I did that on March 24th for $755.83 to move my things from Minnesota to Florida. They were to pick up on April 26th and deliver on Monday 5/1/23. I was to have another payment ready for then for $938.40 which they requested a cashiers check, cash, or Venmo. I thought that was odd, but I got the cashiers check made out to Bridgeview Van Lines, LLC. as their company is listed. To my surprise, the (2) guys who showed up were a 3rd party in a " "Budget Rental" moving truck, not Bridgeview Van Lines like they told me. These guys, called "Easy Movers" which I say, Sleazy Movers asked for the Cashiers Check to be made put to them, Easy Movers and not Bridgeview Van Lines. Another Red Flag. So, then I do that and they look at my stuff and say, oh...your stuff is more than we estimated! What do you mean I asked!? They said, you have more than 400 sq ft of stuff. I said, no one told me square feet or cubic feet. I went over this with Theo. Well, we need to re-estimate because we didn't know about bed box springs. I said 90% of people in the US must have box springs! And, why didn't Theo ask that? We need to charge you more and it's going to cost you an additional $1,122.25 before we leave. This is price gouging and taking advantage of a customer who has no other alternative since the new buyers were moving into my old house in 2 days. I was furious. Plus he said, it's going to cost you $350 for gas and another $984.00 when we deliver. So, what started to be a fair cost to co-mingle my stuff with a company I thought I was doing business with and thought I was paying $2600.00 now turns out to be $4,150. That's deception, price gouging and taking advantage of a Senior citizen moving by myself. And the kicker is, my stuff was to be delivered by Monday, 5/1/23 and as of today, still no furnishings!!! I've called them 10 times, and they won't tell me when I'll get my stuff. They never get back to me. I've emailed them and I texted them and nothing. I've called the Florida AG and they said I needed to talk to the Sheriff so I called them and we have a plan along with the IRS and BBB. They want another payment by cashiers check or cash, or venmo so they don't need to report the money or pay taxes. Thought I hired Bridgeview Van Lines. The day my possession were picked up I found out I actually hired a company called Always Strive and ProsperLLC. So many things went wrong with these relationships. Neither company could careless about you or your possessions. The whole process was based on how much money can they can extract from your wallet. Just like Kirsten Horning's review from 2 days ago, "100% scam of a company - said they own the trucks, promised me up and down they weren't a broker, and then contracted it out to another company." A full 7 days later, they called us 40 minutes before they arrived, then said their truck won't fit in the development so we had to pay an additional $400 to get our stuff. Momma Bear here assisting my daughter-the one who contracted with Bridgeview- with coordinating her move from Fargo to Florida. If allotted, I'd surely have provided a zero star rating. Thus far this company has been an utter nightmare. Greg, their quality assurance rep is either incompetent, a con artist, or a downright crook. The company that Bridgeview contracted with to pick up the belongings was horrific and an additional third party trucking company was used. Mind you, this was after employee Jonathan assured my daughter it would be Bridgeview from start to finish for her entire move. The company that arrived-3 days after scheduled to arrive with zero communication, except one story after another - took 13 items from the inventory provided and left(this took nearly 6 hours). THIRTEEN ITEMS! They refused to move another thing unless this momma agreed to an additional $6,000 up charge(my daughter was not present as she was en route driving to Florida). Let me note, that Bridgeview was provided a complete inventory so they cannot utilize the excuse they have tried to use on others reviews about their "inventory not being accurate and thus that being the problem". How is it my daughter's fault that Bridgeview allegedly( drivers words)provided inaccurate sizing on a moving truck when they were provided a thorough inventory from my daughter?! Did I mention Greg's email is now disabled and no one from Bridgeview has reached out to our email requests for my daughter to be immediately contacted? Did I mention there was no professional service? The forty boxes for packing and all items to be packed by movers, and the additional dish wrap service, non existent. Did I mention the movers refused to take the tv mount and only took the screen portion because they don't have tools? Did I tell you the remaining 99% of my daughters property is still sitting in her place in Fargo and she begins her new job in Florida on May 1? No worries, I'll continue this review as it unfolds; I feel everyone needs to know the truth about our horrendous experience thus far. Still awaiting any form of resolution from Bridgeview, and they most definitely have all contact information for their customer. I'm sure like others, her 13 items that cost her nearly $9 grand apparently to be moved by Bridgeview, will be held hostage or never show up. No worries, this will be escalated on all levels with the town of Green Acres, Florida, the U.S. Department of Transportation, et al. should resolution not occur. Stay tuned. I booked through Bridgeview Van Line and they sent Mirit Great American Inc as a mover. I guess Bridgeview Van Line is a broker company, which they did not tell me. Before my belongings got picked up, they did a Quality Assurance, went over and measured of everything I have listed. The total amount for moving $1,534.00, which devided into 3 payments: $510 deposit, $510 at pick up, and the balance $514 due at delivered. Before they came, I took of one canvas picture, a couch, and PC desktop off the list. They said is still $1,534.00 even though I have less items. They sent 2 young guys over to load my belongings. One guy loaded, the other guy just did the labeling.I felt sorry for one guy does the loading so I helped him. After all my belongings have loaded, it doesn't even look like I even have my stuffs there. Did not take that much space. I went back inside my apartment, the guy who did the labeling said I went over 700cf which was a lie. I was inside the truck and he did not do any measuring. How on earth he got that number? So he calculated and he asked $2,807.00 more instead of $510.00 (suppose to pay at pick up). I disagreed. I told him that I'm going to call the company about it. He then said "if you work with me, I'll work with you. I can give you discount if you not calling them." So from $2,807.00, he brought it down to $1,700.00 ( Paid $500 in cash and $1,200.00 was supposed to pay at delivered but he wanted me to Zelle it to him right at the moment. I sent $1,200.00 on Zelle. His name is Estarnlin Guity. Kinda suspicious, cause on the invoice, he wrote down the orginal amount $1,534.00, not $1,700.00. AND the $2,807.00 he came up was written on a piece of cardboard. I think he purposely cheated me and got that extra $700.00 in his pocket. Last year i set up a move from Az to Colorado with my partner. We were just looking for rates really but Robert insisted that we "just do it now" and "lock in our rate". Long story short we should've never trusted him. Now our move date is coming up but due to a family issue we are deciding to stay and could actually use the money ($1260) we had put to this move that's not going to be able to happen. I've called multiple times, texted, and emailed I haven't gotten a response yet. Robert gave me his email and phone number and the email says it doesn't exist now. It's very frustrating, why have a business meant for helping if you're going to help??? I used this company for a long distance move and they are very disorganized. the company has no sense of organization. the company will give you multiple different prices and will keep asking for more money within short notice. Bad communication within and from the company . I literally argued with The driver about my total because they had not updated them on the payments I already made . I received my items damaged and the boxes were crushed as if someone through them around. No respect for other peoples items . if I knew the amount of stress I would have to deal with dealing with this company I would have done the move myself and for a fraction of the price.
