I have been a client of Bridgewell in Lowell for years and their services have gone down the drain. There is no communication between staff, staff doesn't look at notes in patients file, staff turn around is crazy, their headquarters don't return phone calls, supervisors don't follow up in a timely manner, they lack compassion and understanding, staff not very well trained. They are putting money before clients and their well beings. I would not recommend them for anyone looking for help with a mental illness and I am no longer a client of theirs because of the way that I was treated. UPDATE: 10/20/21: There headquarters did eventually get back to me but unfortunately nothing came out of it. Very disappointing. read more

I asked for a transfer request to a different doctor in the practice, I did not feel like who I had was a good fit for me. She managed to lose my lab work, as well as being very open about her beliefs and her after work activities. I called the receptionist right after the phone call to explain the situation. It was understood I wanted to be seen by someone else. They sent me a transfer request via Email, having me explain in detail why I felt I should see someone else. I filled it out and sent it in. I called back a few weeks later to check the status regarding the matter. I was told right then over the phone that Jennifer Burzyk (who was the woman who was supposed to be my "DR") discharged me not only from her care, BUT FROM THE ENTIRE PRACTICE. Never did I say I wanted to be out of the practice, I just didn't feel comfortable with her prescribing me medication. I never signed any paper to remove myself from the practice. How can a person- that prescribes medication- to be so irresponsible? After telling me in previous conversations its very dangerous to stop taking my medication- she is making me do just that. This place is a joke. They are very unprofessional. I have been going for over 3 years and it is ONLY because it has been so hard for me to find someone caring and professional. There is no parking and i showed up on my appointment date (their elevator has been broken forever carried my niece up a ton of stairs in her carrier) for them to tell me my appointment was the next day. I called to confirm the day before and receptionist told me yes tuesday. I asked who was working that told me that and I was told to leave and call the director. My best friend was also a patient there before me and he is on a few medications that are dangerous to just stop. He traveled an hour for his app and showed up to be told he was no longer a patient they do not have enough concelors and to call the director. I originally a few weeks ago posted a very negative review regarding my treatment. I felt like I wasn't being listened to and wasn't being medically treated correctly even after speaking with the director. However after speaking with the big director Matthew Prahl he gave me another chance for a second opinion. I missed that appt and it was completely my fault for not waking up on time. However I got a call back finally yesterday and they offered me one more chance with the new doctor which they didn't have to do. I met the new doctor today and i know the plan for them was probably to discharge me as a patient as I was rude to some staff previously and I'm assuming because of that missed appt he made special for me. Well she listened and I mean really listened to me. We resolved the issues and i also have come to understand why they were refusing certain medications and in hindsight i see now it was always for my safety. I've seen the other reviews and jumped on the negative band wagon without knowing the full story behind each review. I'm sure the providers and staff put up with a lot working at a mental health facility and I overreacted and made their job harder as well. I felt I was completely right and they felt they were right in their determination. So we were stuck at a standstill. And I'm beyond grateful that we were able to resolve this in a good way for both parties. With the lack of psychiatrists with openings in the area I'm very grateful they gave me another chance and also listened to me and how I feel and not tossing me out into the street with no options. I deleted my previous review of them because I don't want to add to the negativity when there are good doctors in this office like the woman I met today who seems like a god send who truly understands my conditions with real life experience and I'm confident she'll be able to get me to a normal stable place . A big thank you to Matthew Prahl again for being so professional, so understanding and for not giving up on me and allowing me a second opinion after the way I first acted towards staff. Im a stay at home mom and now my children will continue to have a stable mom who they can depend on because this facility didn't just give up on me. Im just excited that I have a chance at finally being able to live a normal stable life on correct and safe medication. If you've had a bad experience or have heard bad things I'd give them another chance or just a chance in general. read more

Horrible, dirty, and poor treatment of mental health patients. How on earth do prescribers give any professional care? There's usually no return of phone calls from both desk personnel and nurse practitioners. Do not attempt to initiate MH services there. read more

This is the most horrible place I've ever been to. The staff are truly unprofessional and try to avoid the situation that I need taken care of. Plus, the waiting room is absolutely disgusting and filthy. This place really needs to be reported and permanently shut down. read more

Very unprofessional staff, very disorganized agency. They cancel appointments upon a whim and then turn around and tell you that you don't have an appointment on the date that they rescheduled you for. I happen to see my therapist Michelle Davis out at restaurant when was for my birthday she didn't realize we had friends in common and started talking about all of my personal business major HIPAA patient privacy violation. She was drunk as a skunk when I saw her out to the point that the bartender shut her off and then proceeded to go back to my prescriber Louisa Martin and tell her that I was drinking on my medication. My prescriber took her at her word and proceeded to take me off of all of my medication told turkey which is not recommended for the type for they medication that I'm on as I have read on every Medical website. The HIPAA violation patient privacy violation was so severe that there is a open investigation with the Department of Health and Human Services and the office of civil rights. read more

This clinic is a nightmare. They are meant to be a mental health facility, and do the minimal amount to actually help people, and instead put new "policies" into place every other month, which are unbelievably inconvenient. Any commitments they make are empty, and not one person there seems to be on the same page. They expect patients to be able to make it there in the middle of the day throughout the week,which is unrealistic- and certainly doesn't help patients maintain a life or a job, for instance. They are regularly short staffed, which rather than fixing, they cancel on patients (who undoubtedly rely on their appointments for medicine, therapy, etc) and expect patients to switch to their schedule at the drop of a hat- and with minimal notification. They claim to follow similar policies to other clinics in the area, which is usually their defense for the ridiculous (and seemingly random) policies they put into place, and which is also not true. They insist that any medication management be accompanied by therapy (not uncommon) but insist patients drop their personal therapists for one employed at Bridgewell, while also citing 'lack of providers' for their increasingly inconvenient availability. Lastly, if you're lucky enough to get a call back, you will be on a waiting list for at least a few months, and if they don't lose your paperwork, you MAY manage to get an appointment IF you are able to drop any other mental health provider in your life to see theirs and IF you can attend appointments in the middle of the day, and for certain medications, attend a weekly group- but you'll have to make it there twice each week, as the mandatory groups are not on the same days as the appointments. Overall this facility does the minimal amount to actually help patients, is becoming less and less referred by other providers in the area (who are sick of being on the phone with this place as much as their patients are), and is not somewhere that patients in need will be able to get the help they deserve. read more
