It was a long walk to the office and no parking to be found within 3/4 mile. It made me late, so I…read moreran. Ended up sweaty, hot, and late when I finally went in, but at least they didn't cancel the appt on me. When I went in, I was feeling a lot less than pampered. A quiet nurse came in, told me I needed to wait for the nurse so she could assess me, and that after this time I wouldn't need that anymore. The nurse finally arrived, walked in, and asked me what I wanted to do. I mentioned I had botox in the past. She asked if I had any reactions to it, and I said no. She went and got a vial and asked how much I usually get and where. I had no idea. It has been years. She said "we usually do 30-40 units". I said "I have no idea how much I got last time." She said it didn't matter & she would have to do her best. She put in the needle and went around the eye spots and forehead. Then left the room. A very sterile and curt visit... possibly because I was late.... Because of their absolute complete lack of reliable parking within walking distance for people older than their 50's... I would think a med spa would make arrangements for easy parking for their patients. It's a no-brainer in customer service... especially "high end" med spas.

Rita was very attentive and did a good job. I usually get my Botox in the Bay Area and like when…read morethe esthetician let's me know how many units they will use and cost. I also like when they show me the box of Allergen/Botox and syringe units to ensure the validity of the service. Front Desk gentleman was very professional and check out was great.

Poor experience overall. I am 25 years old and have lots of bodily pain and despite communicating…read moremy issues I did not feel heard I did not feel cared for. I did not feel listened to. Dr. Chen spent 15 min with me and didn't even address any of my concerns. I mentioned I was having gut and stomach pain on a regular daily basis. She asked if I had been diagnosed with IBS. I said no. Rather than giving me steps to take to figure out what the problem is or how I could be diagnosed she just told me to avoid dairy. She did not ask and therefore did not learn that no matter what I eat afterward my stomach is always upset even if I avoid dairy. I mentioned I would like to see a gastroenterologist. I was told since I was not 45 years old a colonoscopy wasn't necessary which I assume just means it's not gonna be covered by insurance so she's not going to recommend it. I told her my pain had been going on for six years and yet no tests recommended to figure out the issue. Also, I mentioned I wanted to get off of a medication and wanted the liquid form because my research had said it's best to taper off very slowly. She just said "it doesn't work like that" and shrugged off that concern as well rather than giving me what I wanted and asked for... the whole reason I made the appointment was only to get my medication switched to liquid, which wasn't even achieved. So now I'm waiting for my expensive bill for receiving nothing. Not happy at all. I left my appointment very angry frankly. I don't want to come across as rude, but doctors need to do better. It just angers me that I am trying my best to take care of my own health and not receiving any help and despite knowing what I'm feeling every day somehow a Doctor Who has spent 30 minutes with me in total over the past year, think she knows what's best for me, which is to do nothing. Why are doctors telling us what we can and can't do for our own health if we have the money to pay for it. Blows my mind. Again, I hate to be so negative, but I feel I need to speak up for so many people who feel their concerns are ignored and unimportant. I wrote this not only to get out my own feelings, but to hopefully help others avoid the same experience I had.

Dr. Chen is one of the best doctors I've ever had. She took the most detailed medical history I've…read moreever had anyone take. (I'm retired military and have a ton of physicals. None were as thorough as this one.) She is always polite and professional. She has a talent for putting you at ease even when there may be something serious at work. I've been a patient for years and she doesn't hesitate to chase down problems and refer you to a specialist when needed. She has recently closed her practice. I hope she comes back soon.
