** Looking at the reviews before mine posted, I can tell you that most of these people are…read moreemployees or past employees of the school** Trust is powerful. Trust is something earned, and something that can be totally lost. O2B Boynton Beach lost my trust, my husband's trust, my extended families trust and several other families as well. My son started 02B West Boynton in September last year shortly after his first birthday. At the time I felt very welcomed, my child felt welcomed, and I thought he would be safe. That changed following very unfortunate situations that could've been completely avoidable. We had to pull our son out of O2B immediately following two incidences, including a a non-verbal child being lost and alone. Found my his mother in an empty classroom. (DCF was involved and school was reprimanded greatly, new protocols were put into place ect. (you know like safety!) And my child was sent home with fecal matter crusted to his genitals over six hours after he had a bowel movement. These are just two incidents of many, but the last straw to the mother/family of a young toddler. Our son is our world, and if you want quality childcare where your child is safe, cared for and protected- DONT enroll at O2B. Here are some key points on what to expect at O2B: -School looks welcoming, fun and colorful and very inviting. Bubbles and music greet you. Fun activities sprinkled throughout the year. Real enticing. -Nearly daily upon arrival, parents will come up to the front stating the teacher is not in the room they're supposed to be in or that the teacher is not there at all. -There's a hoard of cleaning products on a shelf in the children's restroom in the hallway. Accessible for students. This bathroom is 1000% utilized by children during the day mostly VPK. -In less than a year our son had over 20 teachers because the turnaround rate at that school is enough to be concerned about alone. One of the teachers had a complete nervous breakdown in front of our children and was removed from the two year-old room and put in a classroom with older students. And gossip from staff is seen, a heard. -My son nearly had his finger broken in half because a teacher wasn't paying attention and closed a commercial grad impact rated door on his finger leading from the classroom outside. His teacher told me it was bleeding everywhere, yet other staff member said it was a tiny cut. When I got there, it was a large laceration. -Head injuries are daily occurrence at the school, just be prepared for them to tell you that your child came to school with a goose egg on their head, bite marks on their shoulder blades, and bruises randomly. -White gates that are RARLY closed or locked (locking mechanism engaged). -Unapproved/violation inducing retractable gates that are in code violation for fire safety corralling the children away from the doors in the younger classrooms. These items are cleverly, not engaged or removed before the DCF and health dept inspections. It's always interesting to watch someone sweat a few days and during an evaluation from these outsourced entities. The school always be up to par with DCF and health department? You would completely assume that the answer would be yes! -We were under the total expectation that the children have a white binder that goes home at the end of the year showing their progression and work. When we left, there was literally three pieces of paper in it that were completed and everything else was blank. What type of progress is that I was told during my two viewings of the school that this was a very big part of the curriculum, I guess they forgot.? -Excuses upon excuses is what the staff, director- Carlee, assistant director - Daniella (deer in headlights), and the 3rd in charge (forgot her name). Nothing but excuses and half *ss apologies for lack of safety and supervision. Jessica, the school manager or supervisor, does not make herself known or her position known. She does not thrive in a confrontational environment, especially when they have no more excuses to give. -I have far too many instances, action reports, instant reports to even discuss. There is no reason why any parent want their child or children to go to O2B kids in West Boynton Beach. There are better options. We were very lucky to find an incredible school, where our son is absolutely thriving in a safe, loving, and educationally driven environment. I waited a year to post this because I want to make sure it wasn't an issue, making sure I wasn't looking into things that didn't exist. But O2B is perfectly clear. It's a Monet. It is a dumpster fire. And it is unsafe. I was in the education system for over 15 years for the Palm Beach County school district. Our children deserve better than this.

As an ECE teacher myself, this school took the easy way out of helping and teaching my son. As we all know, children need guidance and love. From my experience, I was very disappointed to find my son not getting either of those. When he wouldnt sit for story time (he was 12-16 months old at the time) they would STRAP HIM DOWN into a chair. Developmentally this is beyond inappropriate because children who are already walking at that point are in their movement era and physically NEED it. When I spoke with his teacher AND the director about my concerns they brushed it off and they continued to brush it off and post pictures of him and other students strapped into a chair. The amount of rashes he had around his thigh area was uncontrollable and I can only imagine so uncomfortable for him. Eventually the school closed within a couple months of this happening but the north campus is still open and I just cant stop thinkiny about my horrible experience at this school. We are in another preschool and I have seen the biggest change in my son positively, less angry. For other moms who are looking please be advised of the seats when you tour

Every single teacher we've met goes above and beyond--creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment where our child truly thrives. You can feel how much they love what they do, and it shows in the way the kids light up when they see them each day. We have to give a special shout-out to the Director, Miss Kennita, who is the heart of this school. She is attentive, incredibly kind, endlessly patient, and always available to answer questions or offer support. Her leadership sets the tone for the entire center--positive, organized, and deeply child-centered. We feel so lucky to have a director who not only knows every child by name but genuinely cares about their growth and happiness. Summit Kids Academy has become an extension of our family, and we are so grateful for the love, structure, and joy they bring to our child's life. We couldn't recommend them more!

Under Miss Terri's leadership, it felt warm, consistent, and professionally run. Miss Martha, who worked with the infants, was exceptional and played a huge role in our decision to enroll. Back then, the staff felt experienced and connected to the families. Unfortunately, the school has changed significantly, especially under the new director, Dena. This past year has been the most difficult for us. Staff turnover has been constant--teachers come and go without any communication to the parents. At the beginning of the year, I met a lovely teacher at open house, only to find she was gone within a few weeks. No notice, no introduction to the new teacher--just a revolving door of unfamiliar faces. Most concerning was the lack of support during our son's potty training. We had specifically communicated, multiple times, that we needed the daily progress reports updated for medical reasons, especially so we could track bowel movements. Despite stressing the importance and necessity of this, the reports were rarely, if ever, completed accurately. It was frustrating, disappointing, and inexcusable. There's clearly a lack of training and support among the staff, and it reflects in the daily operations. Given how expensive KLA is, it simply doesn't live up to the high expectations or reputation it once had. It's a real shame, because it used to be a place we felt proud to be part of. We hope the school can take a serious look at its leadership and staffing issues, and return to the quality and care that originally set it apart. Until then, we can't recommend it to other families in good faith.
