I can see how this program would not be for everyone, but for some of us who have had a lifelong struggle to lose weight and keep it off. It is a program that will work. Susan does a great job covering all the pitfalls of losing weight. I plan on staying with the program for as long as it takes. As far as the cost, it seems to be very little next to the expense of continued shots, plans with prepackaged food and other diets that don't give you permanent results or continued support. I am in bootcamp right now and the group of people that I enjoy the weekly meeting with are supportive and are full of hope for the future. I am a supporter of the program. GO Susan!!! read more

I participated in the very restrictive Bright Line Eating and Community for 2 years. This is a very dangerous "lifestyle" which harmed me greatly. I lost weight very quickly and was thrilled, of course. I got to a very low goal weight, as recommended by Susan Pierce Thompson and her team. The food plan of Bright Line Eating has been directly stolen from "Food Addicts Anonymous", a FREE program based on the 12-Steps (of Alcoholics Anonymous). The 12-Steps are an ethically sound program assisting people suffering with various addictions. The only payment required is a coin donation, and if you have no money, you can attend for free. However, Bright Line Eating charges enormous amounts of money for the privilege of the free Food Addicts Anonymous food plan. The brainwashing and constant selling of new programs (each costing $400) by Susan Pierce Thompson did me and my wallet great harm! I spent a fortune to be in their "Boot Camps" and "Bright Lifers" Community, was strongly coerced into doing their many other courses and became completely self-absorbed and obsessed with food and weight loss, in a dangerously unhealthy way. As did thousands of other vulnerable women who each spent a small fortune to become "happy, thin and free!" Yes, I was thin, but I was neither happy or free. Bright Line Eating, tells us that sugar and flour are as addictive as cocaine and that the two must never pass our lips! Also, this extreme diet requires the weighing of every morsel of food. And no "licks, bites or tastes" whilst cooking! Susan Pierce Thompson recommends putting sticky tape across our mouths while we are preparing food, so we don't accidentally lick the spoon. Only woefully tiny amounts of carbs are permitted on the weight loss plan. And very small amounts of protein. No wonder I lost weight! I was nearly starving! The food plan is basically 1200 calories a day. We are strongly encouraged to take our scales to restaurants to weigh our food if we eat out. On this program, I was hungry all the time. But we are told: "Hunger is not an emergency!" And we are strongly admonished NOT to trust our bodies or our hunger cues. And if we want to remain thin, we have to eat like this for the REST OF OUR LIVES! I developed orthorexia (fear of foods considered "unhealthy"), and was bordering on anorexia. My thinking became completely black and white. I couldn't socialize with family and friends and was tense all the time, fearing I might break my "bright lines." The sad truth is that as a result of Bright Line Eating, I became mentally very unwell. Susan Pierce Thompson is making an absolute fortune from vulnerable women who want to be thin. It has taken me many months to recover from this extreme diet. And needless to say, I have regained most of the weight I lost once I stopped restricting and depriving myself. However, while I'm not thin now, I feel "happy and free," able to participate, socialize and share food with others joyfully and able to eat a slice of cake or pizza without guilt or shame. BLE (Bright Line Eating) is amazing! It's just as many calories, or even more calories (1250 to 1600 per day) than any other program out there, so I don't know why anyone would say they are starving on it. I found it so much easier than keto because keto doesn't allow all the fruits like BLE does, and keto allows NO potato or grain which I get to eat every single day with BLE. I never joined the more expensive Boot Camp, which is really only for people who need extra help. All I did was read the highly enjoyable book by Susan Pierce Thompson, Bright Line Eating, which I paid only 17$ for. I've been "Bright Lining" for 8 weeks now and have seen 25 pounds melt off easily. Every other program that I have tried, WFPB (unlimited amounts of whole food plant based), Keto, and Nutrisystem only allowed me to lose 5 pounds in a month and then gain it back. This is because I'm a recovering food addict and need perfect structure as well as the spiritual side addressed to succeed with weight loss. All of that being said, BLE is not for everyone. It's only for those of us who have tried everything else and failed and are food addicts. If that sounds like you, then I HIGHLY recommend that you read the very affordable book and start right away! It's extremely important that you thoroughly read the book before you begin the eating program. You need to understand how the brain works with food addiction. Once you read the book and get started, I think you will be amazed with the results. Don't listen to the haters in this review section. It's very possible they are jealous or are just too addicted to sugar and flour to give them up for their good health. Susan Pierce Thompson did not "steal" the 12 step program. I'm familiar with it and it's quite a bit different. However, she did glean some of the best parts and combined that with her own extensive studies, years of experience and intelligence to create the unique program that is an answer for many who are suffering from not neing able to lose weight any other way! I joined the BLE bootcamp in January 2017 and paid $497. I was initially delighted with the program and what seemed to be the key to steady and slow weight loss. I had very little to lose (15 lbs) but wanted to nip it in the bud before it nipped me! However, after a few months, I grew tired of the obcessive-compulsive personality of the group's founder, an ex-crack cocaine addict (with understandable needs for control), and her truly extreme attitudes about what was needed to successfully lose weight. To cite just a few examples: totally eliminating certain foods (flour & sugar) and drinks (no juices whatsover), weighing food down to the last gram and taking your scale with you to restaurants (which I never did myself). I left the group after bootcamp simply because I couldn't see living this as a lifestyle for the rest of my life, and I also became progressively aware of the huge financial motivations behind it. BLE's program principles are stolen from a 12-step programme which is totally free aside from donations made on a voluntary basis. SPT's husband is the CFO at BLE; need I say more? Her employees are given free health insurance and many other fringe benefits ... paid for by all of us Bootcampers desperate for that special secret that she claims to have and definitely wants to sell. I'm a huge fan of the program, but the customer service is awful. I received a receipt, but never the login information. After using the website twice to ask for either log in info or a refund, a guy from their team reached out several days later (signed up on Friday, finally got the needed info on Wednesday) and sent me a screenshot that he said proved I had received the emails and opened them and lost them. I looked at the screenshot, which actually showed the emails as unopened. I pointed this out and suggested that they were unopened because they never arrived, so maybe there was a glitch in the system. Now that he was defensive, the response time was very prompt. He promptly told me that I should get an entirely new email account because the problem wasn't BLE, but my email account. I've never had an issue with lost emails, but he suggested that they see this all the time. That right there tells me where the problem lies, but he was having none of that. So, not only do they not have their tech together, but their representative is quite snippy. Just buy the book, join the facebook group for support and asking questions, and don't fork over money for bootcamps and programs that you may or may not get access to in a prompt manner. There's nothing in the program that you can't find in the book or facebook group, so save your cash and save yourself the headache. read more
