I started with 585Fitness almost 16 months ago on a recommendation from a female co-worker who had been there for some time and could do more push-ups than I could count (180+ and no not the knees on the floor type - real ones). I wasn't in bad shape but could have definitely looked to shed 10 pounds. I worked-out all through college and would occasionally go to the gym in waves. Being in my mid 40s, I had never worked with a personal trainer and didn't know what to expect. My first workout was on a Friday at 5:30pm after a long work week and a very late night of playing poker. A year ago, I weighed 95 lbs soaking wet, ate junk all the time and unless it was daily activities, never excercised. I always said I was going to join a gym, gain some weight and muscle but always made excuses. A friend who trains with Rob recommended reaching out to Gus to see if personal training would be a good fit for me. I can't say enough good things about my experience at 585fitness. I was looking to lose weight in a healthy way that I could sustain. I signed up with Rob for the 12 week nutrition plan. It's the best decision I have ever made for weight loss. There are no supplements or pills or patches. I got a nutrition program tailored specifically for me and it was affordable. In early spring of this year I began to get back in shape after gaining weight gradually over the years. I was doing great and lost about 20 lbs but I wanted to take working out to the next level with professional guidance.
