The previous Hospice was OK, but I wanted to compare. Inland Regional Hospice was one of the companies given to me. The owner himself came to my home with his assistant. He was very caring and very realistic. The staff from the receptionist to the social worker are amazing. My mom was in my home during her Hospice care and I was her caregiver. Sherene was her case manager nurse and was always available no matter what time of the day. I always looked forward to the Social Worker Shekinah visits as she always made me feel I needed to take care of myself. She always showed sincere concern of my mental and physical care. Comparing my experience with the first Hospice and Inland Regional, I'm so blessed to have Inland Regional with me when my Mom passed away.

I had questions and got answers right away. No run around. No night time fill in company who didn't k ow us! They were fantastic. All the people were so Sweet and knowledgeable. I didn't have to do their jobs for them! And I was so happy to know my aunt was in good hands. The other company I had to help and do their job for them. Or show them how to care for her. Today as I wrote this my aunt passed away. I called them and they were here within the hour. Called the mortuary and took care of her for her cleaned up and ready for pick up. The sweetest nurse Adrian. Adrian you are an angel. I love your outgoing personality and so loving you were our angel these last days. So thank you. If you call the office on the afternoon, you will not be able to get a hold of anyone or much less get a return call, because their meetings are more important than your issues. In contrast, their field RNs and LVNs are excellent. We had to hire an outside person to bathe my mother, as two of Advantages carestaff only showed up once, and never again. Would not consider ever using them in the future.

I recovered at Redlands Healthcare skilled nursing facility, after an accident that crippled both…read morelegs due two large-bone fractures, needing rods and pins, and an ankle dislocation that needed a plate implant. The other leg, a knee needed reconstruction. I could barely put weight a little on one leg when I got there. The Physical Therapy section of the care was excellent. Even when I could barely move the legs they had me getting my blood circulating with stretch bands in bed and lifts. I felt so inspired to heal. We worked so well together, my team who helped with all kinds of care, from clean ups, bathing, the meal plan, the medications and even some fun activities such as painting, word games, number games and searches. There were special events such as ethnic music and dance, an ice cream social, and birthday celebrations. Staff people, nurses and assistents were cheerful and helpful. Administration: top notch. I considered staying longer, but the care was so efficient at getting me back on my feet again that I got to leave two months early! I even went back to visit some of my friends-- both patients and staff, and felt welcome and almost like home! No wonder this place is always full to capacity with people lined up to get in! Thank you to every person who contributed to such a speedy recovery! They made sure that I got home safely, as well. 10/10 I highly recommend this facility!

At first the idea of entering a hospice program of any kind was scary and nerve racking. I, like I'm sure many do, have this preconception of what these kind of programs ultimately are and what the end result is. However it ended up being something completely different. My grandfather was able to live out the rest of his life in the comfort of his home. Rather than be in a hospital room, Beta offered those exact same resources to us while not needed to leave the house. Anytime we needed information or some guidance about medication all we had to do was pick up the phone and call, and most of the time Jack is always there to answer. We were so lucky to work with the wonderful staff and nurses of Beta. They truly made this transition easier to navigate. The program allowed us to take a step back from hospital settings which when you're constantly going for doctors visits and tests can be tiring. It was nice to forget that the cancer existed while we carried on with our life at home. My grandpa passed late April and I am grateful that Beta was there was us till the very end. They even provided us information and assistance with arrangements. It was so nice to not feel alone in such a trying time of loss. I admire the dedication and support this program offers for families, and recommend anyone who needs this kind of support to reach out. My family and I will never forget how Beta helped us.

By end of day on Tuesday I called my primary doctor office to get a new referral for home support. Wednesday morning I called the new referral authorization they said they did not have the authorization yet even though I gave them the number. I destiny home health.com/ waited 5 hours & called back still they had not received authorization. I call my medical center back ask them to fax it to Destiny home, I waited 20 minutes & called them back to see if the received the authorization and believe it or she then told me they don't have staff to cover & was rerouting my authorization back to my pro. All these facilities are so unprofessional unbelievable. Not even my dr will reach out to to assist. SAD PART IS IM AFRAID OF NOT PROPERLY HEALING BECAUSE I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT PT EXERCISES I NEED TO START ON MYSELF. BECAUSE I WAS TOLD BY THELMA OFFICE MANAGER THAT IT WOULD BE ANOTHER 2 WEEK TO GET A NEW APPROVAL.

As a RN myself it was the first time dealing with Hospice and seeing the ins/outs. They truly made sure we had all our needs met and made sure my grandmother was comfortable, they went above and beyond. Erika our social worker was absolutely so amazing! Peter the LVN was great! And also her shower aide Marisella was truly an angel. My grandma opened her eyes at the sound of her voice moments before she passed. We had hospice with us for 1 whole month (until my father passed away). I will say that the staff…read moreas a whole was 5 star (amazing; respectful, kind, courteous). However, we had 1 staff member who came and decided she needed to take pictures of my incoherent fathers private parts. We did not sign any paperwork giving consent for that to be done either. My wife walked into my fathers room to the sight and sound of their staff member taking pictures on her personal phone of his naked private parts. My wife immediately told her to delete the pictures and to never do it again. I messaged the management about it and they apologized profusely & promised me the problem had been rectified and that it would never happen again. We never saw that staff member again either. Outside of that specific issue we had no other issues with any of the staff who cared for my father. The rest were amazing & caring. My other issue was when my father passed. We called and had to wait like 6+ hours until someone came to pick up his body. The real kicker was the staff member who came out to make sure my father had really passed. She was disturbingly more focused on making sure she got a count of all my fathers prescriptions that they had issued him. He's laying dead on the bed and she wants us to run Around the house and track down his medications. She could have cared less about the 20 other medications that he was issued by other doctors; she only cared about the meds that they issued (many of which are simple over the counter meds). She then proceeded to take forever individually counting all the medications and then she poured them into cat litter & mixed with water. Then she left the bag for us to dispose of. Biggest distasteful professionalism in my life that I've seen. My father just passed and I got to sit at a table while this staff member counts medications. Like for real! Horrible method of assessing when something is appropriate to do; timing! Outside of these 2 horrendous issues (of which, I have not sued them over for illegally taking pictures of an incapacitated mans private parts) - I will say that the Visiting Nurses who come to care for the Hospice Patient - they were 5 stars Hands down!!!

I would also like to recognize Monica Figueroa - community relations for her communication, care and ability to get the necessary help immediately for both my father and our family. Losing a loved one is already hard enough, but GHC hospice took a really hard situation and made it as painless as possible for my family. I will be forever grateful for GHC hospice staff!
