I cannot speak to the quality of the work they may produce but their upfront scheduling is terrible. I spoke with who I believe is the owner for two weeks simply trying to get a proposal and he gave me the runaround. Honestly I wasn't really price sensitive so whatever price he would have thrown at me I probably would have said just do it. Unfortunately he would never give me a proposal and I found another company on Facebook who was out to my house two days later and gave me a proposal very quickly. They ended up with a $3,000+ job. We had a water leak in the garage that caused a bedroom wall to be cutout. It also lead to having plumbers come in to repipe the entire house. This meant holes cut everywhere in the walls for the new piping, as well as kitchen floor tiles being removed and the concrete slab being hammered into. We needed help with all of the repairs, and we needed someone on short notice. Jeanette was incredibly responsive and came out to see the project to put together an estimate. She sent the estimate quickly and we were able to get on the schedule immediately. She even worked with us when we had to push back the start date because the plumbers needed more time. Abraham and Alexa were the team that came to do all of the drywall, tile replacement, carpet padding and baseboard replacement, as well as painting over all the repairs. As a construction professional, I'm way tougher on contractors than most and for sure have more understanding of what's expected. Just had Janette and her team paint a 1952 home on the inside and the shed repiared and painted. We took a long time deciding colors. Yet, she was patient and understanding. Through out the process we did add more to the job and later took away some. She was very flexible. And we were in the process of getting flooring and she was able to work around that. We gave her first pick...start painting or floors. We ended with a mix. They painted walls, ceilings, appliances, and vents on the inside after patching sooo many cracks! We also had a shed painted, rotten wood replaced, and supporting metal poles sanded and painted. It's beautiful now! Now I am looking at the exterior of the house and my home across the street and thinking...when can I get these done! Definitely will call Bright Spot again! read more

I'm sad to say that I can't recommend Bright Spot. I paid over $5,000 for them to paint the interior of my house before I brought any furniture in and was pretty disappointed with the results. I chose Janette because of the reviews I saw on Yelp & Nextdoor and their history of doing jobs in my neighborhood. Janette was great during the consultation and the first few hours of the job, but it was all downhill from there. Fast: No. After day 1, they clearly were not putting their full resources behind my project. Despite knowing I was waiting on them to move furniture into the house, the job dragged on and on. There were multiple days that only one inexperienced painter showed up. I'd come home and find very little had been accomplished. What was quoted as a one week job took over 3 and was never really completed? After I naively paid them in full before completion, they basically just stopped showing up - they left their sign out front and everything. Cheap: Not at all. The cost was higher than other estimates I received. The ceiling only took half a day, but they still charged me $1,100. Things that were discussed in the estimating phase were tacked on as extras later. I wish they had brought the same keen eye to painting as they did for adding cost to the estimate. Good: Not really This is the one that kills me. All of the above would have been fine if the quality was there, but it just wasn't. They did a sloppy first pass in most places: old paint showing through, spots that didn't even get touched, over paint on ceilings and walls etc. Then I had to repeatedly ask for touch ups 2, 3, 4 times. I paid Bright Spot thousands of dollars and they couldn't bother to take all the wall plates off of light switches? I'm continually finding botched areas in all the rooms. Maybe painters in town have so many options right now that they don't need to do as good of a job as they used to, but I had a totally different experience than the other reviews. read more

Most of the houses I've worked on were built between the 1920s-1940s, which usually need special attention and typically repairs before painting. I live in an house built in 1946. The ceiling in the bedroom had a major cracked in it, and I had a door removed. I hired Bright Spot Painting to repair the ceiling and tape and float the area where the door was in the room. On preparing for they job, they covered everything in the room. . They even put paper down on the floor from the exterior door to the bedroom. As must jobs in a older house, there are problems. The ceiling sheetrock was REALLY bad.
