N & C Marine SELLS BANK-OWNED REPO BOATS and they don't disclose this even when asked about the…read morehistory and condition of the boat, so CONSUMERS BEWARE!!!! N & C grossly misrepresented the condition of the boat I purchased online. N & C arranged transport and the boat arrived with $1,000 in new damage, as well as prior damage. It was not the "clean, like new, no cosmetic or mechanical damage, perfect, lake-ready" boat the general manager described. There was months, if not years of grime covering the boat, mold/mildew, standing water, clogged drains, and numerous scrapes, tears, stains, gouges, scratches on fiberglass, vinyl, trim, motor, an oil drip, a broken Bimini top that flies off on the road (transit damage), a non-working auto bilge pump. The boat in rough shape for a 2023 with only 24 hours on it. It was not until I received the paperwork that I discovered there was no title and they'd hidden that the boat was a bank owned repossession, which explained the condition. This was a misused, neglected boat that the owners knew would be repossessed, so they didn't bother to take care of it. "Good Faith" representation includes disclosing any and all known information that might affect a buyer's decision to purchase. The owner Nathan Rhodes ignored my emails asking him to make this right. I had no choice but to hire an attorney to receive a title 12 WEEKS after purchase with over half of lake season over. Even after a demand letter from my attorney, it took four weeks for a response, which was simply, "We sent the title." Shameful!

Young Harris Water Sports had staff that used golf carts to do it all for us on both front and back ends of the trip. We rented a Tritoon and a double innertube for pulling behind. All the equipment worked great, boat was in very good shape. We had a fantastic time on a half day rental. Highly recommend YTWS for your boat rental needs on Lake Chatuge!

My family and I rented a boat from Young Harris Water Sports over Father's Day weekend in 2025. We…read morehad reserved the boat from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, but we arrived about an hour early. After completing the paperwork, we went down to the dock, and the staff told us the boat was ready. We were able to leave at approximately 1:00 PM. As we pulled away, the young employee at the dock (who appeared to be under 18) said, "We'll see you back at 6 PM." I even commented to my husband that it sounded like we were getting an extra hour with the boat. We enjoyed our afternoon on the lake until around 5:00 PM, when the manager called. I missed the first call but answered the second. Instead of calmly asking about our return time, he immediately spoke to me in a rude and confrontational tone, asking why we hadn't returned the boat and stating it was due back at 5:00 PM. I explained that we had been told to return at 6:00 PM and apologized for the misunderstanding. Rather than acknowledging that there may have been a miscommunication, he insisted that "never happened" and threatened to charge me if we didn't return the boat immediately. As soon as we realized there had been a misunderstanding, we headed straight back to the dock. When we arrived, the manager was standing there with his arms crossed and immediately began accusing us of intentionally keeping the boat out too long. He also mentioned that it was Father's Day and that he was trying to leave work at 5:00 PM. I apologized again and explained that the employee had told us she would see us at 6:00 PM. It was obvious that she had simply overlooked the fact that we left an hour early, so our expected return time should have been adjusted to 5:00 PM. I completely understand that working on Father's Day isn't ideal, and I also understand the importance of returning rental equipment on time. However, this situation was the result of a simple misunderstanding caused by the staff, not by us. There was no reason for the manager to be rude, accusatory, or threatening. A professional conversation would have resolved the issue just as quickly. We've rented from Young Harris Water Sports at least three times in the past and have always enjoyed our experiences, which makes this even more disappointing. Unfortunately, because of the way we were treated, we will not be returning. Customer service matters just as much as the equipment you rent, and this experience fell far short of what we expected.
