Definitely a cute, well-curated boutique with attentive customer service! Plus, right on Market Space, you can't beat the location. Staff are wearing masks and enforcing social distancing/mask wearing among customers. They have lots of cute cards and other gift ideas. The main focus of the store is women's clothing, and it all seems to be pretty well made, trendy, and with fair price points. They have many tops, pants, and dresses for about $40-$50, including an awesome final sale rack in the back. I noticed that a really light sage green is dominating the shelves right now, am I'm here for it! I also heard they have an online store which is perfect for out of towners like me. It was a cute place, the service was just kind of less than if we're being honest. I went there on the Galentine's event night. Normally I never have to give reviews like this. I'm not going to speak on how overpriced things were. That's boutiques in general. It was the vibe from the girl at the register. She just seemed generally disinterested in everything as a whole. I actually can't recall anyone asking if we were finding everything okay either. I'll chalk that up to it being an event of sorts. The "customer service" of this location is ridiculously lacking and requires some training on how to handle a situation. I purchased a necklace for my wife, when I gave it to her I noticed the piece that connects the necklace was broken. I returned the next day to let the attendant know of the situation and they told me to email the business because they couldn't handle the return or exchange in the store. I emailed the store and when they finally replied, they said to go into the store to have it fixed. They didn't bother apologizing for the inconvenience or the faulty jewelry. Just go back to downtown Annapolis where it's difficult to find parking because you don't have anything better to do with your time but waste on getting this boutique to treat you with respect. I replied that this was a waste of time and I wanted my money back. They reminded me that "All Sales are Final" even if the jewelry was faulty from day one. As much as I try to support small businesses, I will look for another small business to support. Here's a lesson for your business: what would reasonable people expect a reasonable organization to do in this situation? read more

Visited Annapolis for the afternoon on a Saturday and per my usual wanted to check out boutique shopping. This shop was right among the restaurants on Main Street and had lots of cute clothing. Pretty pricey in general, but I got a couple of items on sale: a lime green slip dress for $46 and a pink tennis skirt for $30. Everyone in the store was really attentive, maybe even a tad too much, lol. Would definitely recommend and visit again. read more

This place is so cool!!! The first thing you'll notice is how friendly and helpful the staff is. They were unbelievable. The products in the store were all exceptional as told to me by my fiancé. I normally don't review stores but since the moment I walked into this store I felt unwelcome. There were two ladies standing behind the counter whom looked up to my friends & I , and continued chatting. No greetings or anything, they stared at us from behind the counter & whispered as we walked in. When other customers walked in, it came to my attention that they were greeted properly. Mind you the store was empty so it was not due to them being busy. I saw giggling & whispering as they stared us down, this store should definitely retrain their employees to learn simple manners & what customer service is really about. I have lived and worked in stores in Downtown Annapolis for years, so I was excited to see a cute new place while visiting January 15th. It's a really fun store with cool gifts and a lot to look at. The clothes are great but overpriced for the brands they sell, I had already seen most of the pieces online through other boutiques and women's clothing websites. I purchased the same exact sweater for $40 online but it was $70 in store. If you see something in the store, do some research because most online boutiques sell the same brands and styles. Two employees were ironically standing in the back corner talking shit about another "lazy employee who doesn't do anything, takes breaks etc..." while they were doing the same thing. From what I could tell one was in a management position. Note to this company- not a good look to have employees standing around gossiping about other employees with customers on the sales floor! I know this is a MD based, family owned company so I hope the service in their Annapolis location improves. read more

I never thought a retail establishment could leave me with so much regret, yet this one has. Brightside boutique should be called Darkside boutique because it will leave you only with disappointments. Management and staff are not familiar with their own inventory. Will have the same pieces in different colors but put them on the shelves WEEKS apart. Staff will make you feel like you're inconveniencing them. The manager Megan was smug and would not leave the inventory room to help the new attendant (who very much needed it). She instead would yell responses from the storage closet which was visibly dirty and disorganized, new merchandise thrown on the floor. Shirts that were stained being sold with barely any discount. Music was overtly sexual for a boutique.. I don't need to hear about the singer getting inseminated! Everything was pathetic, but especially Megan and her uselessness in using the iPad (which basically runs the whole store). Shopping here is impersonal, and customer service abysmal. Story/Sydney (who has not responded to me) in HR- I have had better, kinder, more helpful interactions with AI robots. I would implore any self respecting individual from stepping foot in this storefront. Every excuse is "the system" or "the ipad" can't do it when the people in front of me could easily make things right. In case it isn't crystal clear YOU NEED A BETTER SYSTEM. The one iPad for the whole store isn't going to do it. The owner is a crook who will play you. We purchased a pricey sweater from the Brightside while visiting Annapolis. My daughter put the sweater on the following morning and- just hours into its first wear, the collar separated/unraveled from the bodice. We walked back to the store- with our receipt and they wouldn't even consider an exchange. Unbelievable. The clerk claimed once it was worn, they were done. Store has cute things, but overpriced and terrible return policy. I understand small shops have to be careful and was ok with the policy of only getting store credit. But I bought a pair of Free people pants for my daughter for Christmas and the tag was on the pocket, so of course when she tried them on the tag fell off. They would not return them because the tag was off, now I am stuck with a pair of pants no one can wear. This is why so many people don't like shopping in boutiques. read more

As a resident of DTA, I could NOT be happier that Brightside has finally made its way here!! This store is everything Annapolis needed and more. There is something in this trendy and fashionable boutique for every occasion. My mom and I were so excited when we came in with our dog Dexter, who was greeted by the sweet employees with a treat. They then helped us find the perfect dresses for a special dinner that evening.
