Isn't it scary when MOM IS ALL ALONE AT HOME AND SHE FALLS? We finally all decided that it was…read moretime. Time to search for a safe haven, a home where she would ENJOY BEING WITH OTHERS, and a place where ALL OF HER NEEDS would be met. Someplace we could visit and be happy with her. We searched for weeks, until we finally found THE PERFECT PLACE! Boy, my brothers were GREEN with ENVY that I found it! In El Cajon Valley, ROSE'S GREENFIELD MANOR and sister property Julie's Elderly Care are run by this MOTHER DAUGHTER FAMILY TEAM. I discovered that Rose & Julie give personalize loving care for her residents: It's a wonderful home-like atmosphere, with home-cooked meals like Mom used to make! And there's even Entertainment AND Birthday Celebrations. My brothers were impressed with the personal laundry service. Mom really likes the doctor who visits regularly and the additional nursing care which is always available when necessary. In fact, the Doc described the place as the "Diamond of Diamonds" Roses Greenfield Manor is an intimate, cozy home with just six beds and pastoral views. Rose bushes bloom and scent the front garden of this nice home where Mom now lives,. As I told my neighbor, each of the bedrooms is private and most include a private bath. All of the meals are healthy and home cooked by the resident caretakers. The place is spotless! In fact, I joined them for lunch one day. I stepped away from the room for just a minute and they had already cleaned up my glass before I stepped back. What I REALLY LIKE is that I can communicate easily with any of the professionals that work there. They always tell me what is going on with Mom, and I'm glad to hear it. We were lucky to get Mom in when she was ready to leave the hospital. Because of their GREAT REPUTATION, sometimes there is quite a waiting list, so I told my neighbor to go on over for a tour right away. In fact, she arrived just as there was a REALLY FUN BIRTHDAY PARTY going on! SO...we found a safe haven for our Mom, she's one of the smiling ladies at Rose's Greenfield Manor. Check it out!

I have to give the staff at La Cruz credit for taking such good care of her. It is a very new, clean, spacious and loving environment. Everyone treats her like an important part of the "family". They have gone above and beyond meeting her needs and wishes. Mom loves gardening so they built her a little planter box and she grows tomatoes, squash, cucumbers and onions. They even make her feel helpful and let her fold clothes and towels when she wants to. Everything is family oriented. They sit and have meals all together and the parties and special holidays are fabulous! We are always cheerfully invited to visit any time and there are no restrictions when we want to take her on an outing. I would highly recommend this senior care facility for anyone who wants to feel at ease that your loved one is being well taken care of.

Rita, who I believe is the manager is so sweet, caring and humble when she answers the phone, she tries to help you in every way possible and I believe after speaking to her, she got things going for me. I was seen by a nurse named Jacqueline, who was excellent in every possible way, she took the time to come to my house after 7 PM to take care of me and my needs,(one of the best nurses I've ever had). The day after that, a case manager called and said she was coming, same day the physical therapist called and said he was available to come and do an evaluation that same day, I was in shock!!! In how speaking to the right person with kindness can give you so much kindness quickly back.. I really recommend this company to anybody in need or who has a family member in need of home healthcare..thank you Absalom

Imagine my surprise when I'm told that they don't maintain their 'nurses' schedules. I was given the number to call and text. Went right to voicemail and no response to the text. I call again, the lady I was transferred to was shocked that I had not heard from the nurse. Stated she would contact him and call me back. I did get a callback and she was so busy talking that she didn't realize I answered. After saying hello 4 different times and listening to their conversation I hung up. Guess what? No follow up. I will tell the surgeons office about this and anyone who's looking for home health not to use this company. I don't understand the lack of caring for prospective new clients. Remember- no one called or showed up. Horrible.

He got an infection due to neglect, an open pressure sore, his clothes were only changed 3 times in a total of 4 weeks, and he had two showers in a month. I was very clear with them about me doing his laundry to ensure nothing was lost. Even still, they took his laundry and lost his clothes. I visited him every 2-3 days and spent most of my time at the nurse's station harping on them about lack of care and why he had become wheelchair bound after several weeks there when before he got there he was walking. Myself and other family members would find him sleeping bedside on his wheelchair on a regular basis. He couldn't reach his call light from the side of the bed, and he shared they never checked on him. He got an open sore on his tailbone from sitting in his wheelchair 24/7. The photos they posted are fluff; the place is a totally apocalyptic like. Dirty, old and broken, wreaks, and residents all over struggling to get around on their own. Getting parking in the bottom lot or the garage was usually a challenge. The outdoor areas were also filthy and gross. No real place to visit with residents. And sadly, the employees do not care (aside from Bong and Alex). Social services - useless.. she was aware of these issues and agreed that there was a lack of proper care at a level she wouldn't allow for her own self or family member and nothing changed. Even after a meeting with the ombudsman, the neglect continued until I discharged him because I was terrified he would die there. He went to the hospital for SOB and was sent to post-acute to gain cardiovascular strength and improve his ability to move around (in and out of bed, up and down stairs, walking longer distances). He was admitted to this facility relying on only a cane to walk short distances, he left unable to walk AT ALL, even with a walker.
