This place has bedbugs. Food awful as well. Your loved one shares a room with multiple people. Do not recommend.

Yet they would shout at him, saying, "You were here just two weeks ago, and you were lifting your hands! You're faking it--you're a brilliant actor!" I would insist, "He can't," and they would retort, "Yes, he can." Consequently, I ended up having to feed him with my own hands. That was in the beginning; later, his condition deteriorated further, and he lost the ability to swallow. They would serve him dry, hard pizza--until, after we complained time and again, they finally changed his diet. Even then, however, the food remained substandard, so I would bring him meals from home. Whenever they took him to the bathroom, they would handle him roughly; he would return to his bed in tears. This is the kind of corrupt care found in El Cajon, California--where the administration merely puts up decorations and a few balloons for special occasions, all to pull the wool over people's eyes. I would often hear women screaming--crying out from hunger or because their adult diapers hadn't been changed. My son and I would visit the care facility, bringing along moist wipes to clean my husband, as well as disinfectants to sanitize his bedside table and the floor; we would also open the window to air out the room. We visited both during the day and in the evening. Despite our efforts, it was an incredibly difficult and painful ordeal--one that continued until he passed away three months ago. Had my financial situation been better, I never would have left him in a care facility; however, my circumstances were harsh. I have two children suffering from muscular dystrophy, and, unfortunately, our apartment is too small.

Savannah took care of my IV by replacing antibiotics every several hours, plus she made sure to check on me occasionally. She was sweet, professional and my favorite. Thank you so much for your kindness, Savannah. :-) Michelle is my other fave since she was very kind, thorough, professional and a sweet lady. Michelle specifically handled my discharge. When I wanted to leave sooner than was expected, Michelle sped up the process with no complaints. You're an awesome nurse, Michelle!

The admin staff, dieticians, physical therapy, speech therapy, social workers, nurses and doctors are all great. My loved one has only been there a little over 3 weeks and is already walking by himself, eating solid foods, talking and gaining his strength back little by little. Its almost a miracle, as the doctors had given him a 2% chance of survival. This place has done wonders for him. I hope everyone has the same experience.

Case Manager Normalyn Tuazon and Jelene Lyles were very informative & attentive regarding our goals to help him heal properly and transition to his next care location. Most everyone there was gracious & professional, and several were bilingual which is a big plus. This skilled nursing facility also needs updating improvements and organizational support to advance their service excellence goals.

Villa Las Palmas Healthcare Center - Physical therapy experience there was second to none. Dad couldn't walk when he went in, but by the time he got out, he was able to walk.

I want to thank NuNu, Dillon, Isaac, Delfina, Grace, Eddie, Pam, for all of their assistance and understanding during my stay. The physical therapy department is excellent. They are all caring, understanding in all of the different ailments from all kinds of different patients. I want to thank Jacalyn, Jim, Claudia, Max and Ranon for all of the therapy and helpful ideas to continue my own therapy at home. The facility is very clean and doesn't have any kind of smell to it. I like the fact that they have ice water available all the time and staff will come around and ask if you would like ice refill and even a water refill. I would recommend this place for injury rehab and for your elderly loved ones.

I dropped them off, name on each piece, including a small blanket. I visit the next day and she's wearing someone else's clothes. Her blanket no where to be found. When I went to pick up her clothes after her passing, they tried to give me a bunch of stuff that wants hers. And I only got back one shirt and 1 pant. Out of 4 tops and 3 pants I had bought her. -The place stinks -Nurses were good while we visited, other than that they didn't help her. -She got mrsa, within a week of her being there. No one noticed it until they had to call 911 to take her to the hospital, almost a week later. -Lost like 15 pounds in those 2 weeks. She wasn't eating and they didn't tried to get her to eat. -I asked all the questions, they "tried" to communicate, asked me different things she liked to eat to get her to eat, or liked to do so she can have some distractions. But nothing went any further than that. -Half of the time I visited I found her soiled. I visited every other day, as I was taking turns with my brother. All of this because we don't have the means for the good places. If your loved one doesn't have a voice, avoid this place. Because they won't take care of them at all. It was the worst experience for all of us. *The people who can speak up for themselves, were ok. This was mid-January 2026
